It's not like the A.I. can complain about getting one shotted due to power creep - and players arn't going to complain that they can drop every ship in every mission in less time then it takes a TRIBBLE to travel from your TRIBBLE to your nose.... power creep problems always are addressed through PvP.
PVP is TRIBBLE ppl are using 2,3 OP builds like drains etc and using only few ships like Monbosh, small stealth crafts, scimitar etc.....unbalanced as hell.
Rep nerf was needed to stop the ridiculous PVE power creep.
What power creep ?
I do more dps now than before...This patch increased the power creep lol

They need to nerf romulan boffs from stacking, and spire consoles need a stacking penalty.
You get your PvE heros in their bfaw dem scimitards getting 80k DPS and clearing ISE in minutes, making them feel like they're good.
Balance is really needed, craptic doesn't think when they add new consoles and powers. A lot of the problems stem from the PvE heros wanting instant gratification and an "I win" button.
Don't blame PVPers for wanting to curtail the ridiculousness of all this power creep. All in all PvE people are ruining it as craptic caters to them and they always open their wallets to craptic.

You completely overestimate the effect those rep-traits have on the performance of ships in PVE. Do you really think that someone who pumps out 40k+ DPS in a Scimitar will notice when his 2.5% chance for an additional 700 Graviton Amlifier Damage is missing?
Power creep came from a new tier of ships, new ship layouts and fleet gear combined with a better understanding of game mechanics by the broad public ("A2B"). The impact those little rep-traits have on PVE performance are almost negligble.
Nefarious Plan? Doubtful. I don't PvP. I PvE. The only time i did a PvP was to let a fleet member test his new kit loadouts, and basically I was just standing there acting as a test dummy.
Cryptic cannot force me to do anything I don't want. They don't own me. And Sorry but I'm having zero issue with the borg 2 piece set in PvE, in fact my vesta has adapted very well. That pun was not intentional o.O;
Defending The Galaxy By Breaking One Starfleet Regulation After The Next.
Anyone that cannot do the PvE in this game without the 2 piece borg really needs to learn 2 play. Beyond the oddball borg uber torp nothing does that much damage. I ran the voth daily accidently without shields and was able to complete it on elite without dying. I find it laughable when you have 80K dps tards bragging about getting that much damage in essence shooting fish in a cereal bowl.
Hey I Used to be Captain Data, well I guess I still am in game but the account link really screwed everything up
...........
I just leveled my tac Klingon and with no rep, all mkVIII gear and no doffs, no Aux2batt, and had no problems in ESTFs and pulled 6-7k dps with All DHC's and 1 copy of CRF1 on the free Vorcha. I believe if I switch to beams and add APB I should be closer to 10k without any other upgrades.
I did the same with a Fed Tac and the Gal-X.
The day he hit 50, I put Mk X green [Acc] on from the exchange on his ship, full cannon / turret config and hit 16K DPS. Spent less than 1 million EC on the whole setup.

Agreed. I just rolled three new toons, and no one is getting bought anything over 11 Blue. I do just fine in ESTFs. Now granted not what some of my better geared toons do, but I get through map.

I hope everyone read that I was being sarcastic - I even through in the part in color about pvp players causing the last dilithium nerf - just to be sure people got it. Oh well.
But there are a few threads out since S9 went live about the borg set piece not healing as much - because it was "adjusted" - nerfed if you like - to work more to be the same scale across all hull sizes.
Seeing a LOT of big ships popping like popcorn in PvE matches in the last 2 days I can see why the issue is a hot topic now - but it's not just the borg set nerf - the rep trait system used to allow player to be powerful BOTH offensive AND defensive.
Of course there are already SEVERAL posts in these threads saying that it was the PvP players screaming at the the devs for a nerf. When technically it was probably one of the last things that most pvp players were asking for an "adjustment"
Aux to Bat + Bfaw + doff power overcapping + other OP doffs - anyone?
Heck pvp players wanted a nerf to emerg power to engines more than an nerf to the borg set.
... It is laughable people think the rep system adding any real power to ships compared to BOFFs reduced cooldown for all powers.
So, you've not seen the rep trait that adds 40% damage bonus to torps and mines over 6 seconds? or the ones that give you direct hull damage? or the added CrtH or CrtD traits?
What about the escorts now tanking in ESTFs due to traits giving "emergency shields"? or extra shield and hull resists?
Nope, non of that adds to power creep at all does it !
Rep nerf was needed to stop the ridiculous PVE power creep.
The Rep nerf was needed to stop future power creep caused by reputation passives not current power creep. Right now, it is almost non-existent, but when we have 15 Reputations and 60 Reputation passives, then there will be massive power creep caused by reputation passives. After all, if you think the reaction is bad when we had only 4 Reputations, imagine how bad it would be if we had 15 reputations and Cryptic needed to make this change instead of being proactive.
How so? Besides, even if there is a small boost, the new system prevents the stacking of these powers for future reps.

The gag - that you missed, was the OP was poking fun at those who blame PvPers - by imitating them in a funny way....
You, seem to be the only one who missed the point, then genuinely insult him for you missing the gag
I'm going to go look up the word "moron", I think I may find a picture of you there :P
The forums have just been so full of MEH lately....thought I would throw in something funny. Guess not everyone has a "humor/sarcasim" detector no matter how obvious you make it:eek:
Honestly the whole trait "nerf" makes people more powerful....if OP can't figure out how to abuse the trait system now he needs a new brain. I don't understand the whole dilithium nerf, still get 960 per pve....oh and those other nerfs? yeah they were broke as fudge. Borg set bonus didn't get nerfed, just fixed to BUFF escorts. Sometimes i worry about the human race.
PvE hero.....

Step 1: Nerf everyone.
Step 2: PVE players go away.
Step 3: ????
Step 4: Bristling PvP Queues, PvP Leaderboards, PvP Territory Control
Step 2 proved harder than we thought.

For making a thread musing at people blaming PvP players for all the games nerfs?
Nah, for thinking it was a good idea to do, and stupidity for not understanding the underling problems and assigning it to PvPers.
In reality all I heard was "waaa waaa waaa PvPers waaa waaa waaa"

So... why is it so bad to complete an ISE "in minutes"?
I've always found it a blessing to pug into a group that knows what they're doing and we clear it "in minutes" so I can get on with my day.
PvE hero.....
Um, that's nerfarious. :P
