I was on my main, a Fed Trill Tac with an old Romulan mk X Fire Team kit, MACO armor and shield, and Elite Fleet Split Beam and Sniper. Was a tough fight, but I nailed him without dieing.

Then again I did slot mostly defensive passives for Ground Rep traits and had to use a couple Large Hypos. I NEVER leave home without my Hypos!

Basically if you're a tac officer wait till the boss shows up and hit security team and if you have the shard of possiblities, use it! Also when he first appears let tuvok aggro it so you can sit behind and unload on him.

If you're an engineer, drop your bright orange shield, have a medical generator going and any drones you might have, let them fly.

Science, well again simply let tuvok agro and take the hits and then wail on boss.

Simple tactic. Let tuvok take the damage as he is immune.

I'm loving this time difference. I post something and wake up to 4,5 pages of very useful information.

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I'm running a lvl 50 science character. I'll try to incorporate some of your ideas. I'd love to hear more esp. science characters. I'll give these ideas a try.

    Thanks again!

That one attack that causes the ground to glow does way too much damage way too fast.

    Level 50 tac.

    I SLAUGHTERED that thing.

I think I lost shields once.

You know how to keep that from killing you?

On both my Tac and my Engi, I found melee weapons to be more effective than ranged ones. Got dropped by Egg once on both, but still got through him fine. It seems similar tactics for fighting the Borg are equally effective on Undine.

If I'm lucky, I usually last a good 30 seconds before being killed by this thing. Usually what happens, though, is that the moment I respawn and shoot the boss, he turns, shoots me once, death.

Is there something i'm missing? Tuvok is of no help, he just keeps taking potshots, and then the boss turns to me and finishes me rather quickly. Not even special abilities are helping. I think you made this enemy extremely overpowered for 1 player, not exactly fair at all.

    What am I missing here?
I have seen this happen on species that aren't from the Federation that "E'genn" is too difficult to fight. I did the mission twice on my main (he's a Tactical non-joined Trill), and he didn't have an issue with fighting "E'genn" at all.

I haven't tried the mission yet on my other Federation characters, but I did do the mission on my main KDF character and my Reman who's allied with the KDF, and they had issues with "E'genn" defeating them quickly.

I ran a Fed Alien tac with Maco gear and a falchion sword, and a KDF Orion engi with fleet elite gear and the nanopulse bat'leh. Both battles went pretty much the same, both dropped once, but both able to finish fairly handily.

Ran it again with my Fed Alien Engie w/ Romulan Fabrication kit.
Orbital Devastation trait... gotta love it. I think my Drones and Flame turret made it a bit easier too. Next up, one of my Science characters. Blaze the Cat might have a bit of a problem, but there will be much fire involved in the fight.

Took him in close combat with a bat'leth with my engineering captain, while my turrets and drones gave me cover fire. Fleet bodyarmor and personal shields.

Run it once so far, on an Engineer. Using the old kit he's had for ages, I kept popping Support and Seeker Drones whenever possible, laid down a Photon Mortar whenever it came off cooldown, and shot Eggy with my Polaron Pulsewave a lot. Died a few times, but that wasn't that big a deal - that last time, it actually helped me a lot, because Eggy was so focused on Tuvok that he stopped shooting my Mortars, and I was able to blast away at him without getting aggro.

There is a beam in the back of the room. If you walk up on the beam it takes you off the floor and you can fire on E'ggen without him being able to reach you. I was able to win easily once I found that beam.
