Multivector all the way. specifically the prometheus/cerebus. prometheus has the best nacelles, but the cerebus has the best front. i thin my signature shows it off decently well, though i really need to update it with the new graphics we got in LoR. ship be sexier now.
I concur, the MVAE is a fine looking ship. The Wells/Mobius is pretty fine as well. She has the stealth bomber/blackbird look down to a fine art!
I love asymmetry in ship designs, and I also like designs that look built for purpose. Perhaps one day a lockbox will come along that is truly alien, and turns all design principles on their heads. But I won't hold my breath.
I think the lighting of a grav well, interspersed with cannon fire finished off with an explosion, makes any ship the most beautiful, as long as it isn't mine.
Best looking ships I'm trying to keep from exploding:
Fed: MU Advanced Escort just screams to me much as a classic muscle car might. This ship is a 69 Vette to me. Anyone know if any Fleet ships take that skin?
KDF: Don't own it, but not sure I could bring myself to destroy the work of art that the Korath Temporal Science Vessel is. Again, this isn't the Vette, but it is the Mustang.
Romulan: This is the consolation prize faction. I think most everything is ugly, best looking, I've gotta fall back to TOS T'Liss Warbird. Th D'D DOES beat out the Fed's Galaxy, if it makes anyone offended by my not liking anything else feel better. Of course, I hated the Galaxy from day one.
Cross faction: One might think with my first two choices I'd say Risan Vette, and until recently, I'd have agreed. Thing is, I got a D'Kora end of last year, almost sold it 'cause I thought it was ugly and could use the EC's. Flying it around, I have come to love that little ship's lines.
While, as I've said, I find the Galaxy ugly-as-sin (and adding a pylon adds beauty like adding a 3rd ear would add beauty), I do love flying my Gal-X. Right now, my top 3 ships I like to fly are: D'Kora, Gal-X, and TOS Connie. Because, TOS.
Come to think of it, if we take interiors into account, Connie wins, hands down, all around.

The Fleet Patrol Escort has the MUAE skin, along with the badassery that is the Maelstrom skin.
My favourites? Well, I'm a fan of the Maelstrom, but I wouldn't say it's beautiful. Awesome yes, not beautiful. That title would have to go to either the Fleet Mogai (mmm, shiny greeny gold bits) or the Aves. The Aves, I think, looks like a blend of the classic Romulan aesthetic that was lost with the atrocities that are the Romulan level 40 ships, with the intertwined motif of the Solanae. It's got the best bits of both, IMO.
I'm also a big fan of the Sovereign, but unfortunately the in-game model doesn't quite do it justice. I realize polygon optimization is a thing, but it doesn't really feel right with sharp edges on the saucer instead of that tiny diagonal corner bit most post-DS9 Federation saucers have. It's a tiny change, but it ends up feeling almost unfinished, instead of elegant like the film model.
I am NikkoJT, Foundry author and terrible player. Follow me!
There used to be a picture here, but they changed signatures and I can't be bothered to replace it.
I love the Akira class! I don't know exactly what it is. Maybe it's the torpedo pod elevated from the rest of the ship, or the way the ship's nacelles jut out from the hull. Either way, the ship has a unique design that stands out from nearly all the other Federation ships. And since I'm a big torpedo guy, the ship fits perfectly into what I enjoy most.
I'm a very old-school Trekker, it's The Motion Picture Enterprise that looks the most elegant to me.
Followed closely by the Original.
You can add all the extra plumbing ya want, and blow um up to be the size of a large space station, but they'll never compare to the beauty of seeing the newly refurbished ENTERPRISE gracefully move out of the earth space-dock for the first time in TMP.

I have to say that the Odyssey is my favorite. It truly is a beautiful ship, granted the nacelles could be a little less pointy but other than that it deserves to be the flag ship of the Federation. With that being said it also deserves a hangar how about we turn the Aquarius into an actual hangar pet and not just a universal console.
Also the bridge of the Odyssey is beautiful as well; sleek, modern, functional, it is by far the best bridge in the game...any chance we can add the passing stars and something on the screen like the new Origin Bridge?

^ This. The Ambassador feels like a fusion of the Constitution and Galaxy. I finally bought one, hooked it up with some old gear and sent it towards the Crystalline Entity. So much fun~

The ?Freighter? that's always cruising around in Vulcan System Space. It bears a resemblance to Deferi Ships and the Freighter holo-disguise, but is much more massive and has a mostly vertical design. Both because I think it's a gorgeous design and I never hear anything about it, ever. At all. Anywhere.

Good point.
Just had a browse on the wiki and I agree, the Deferi and generic alien ships look great. They would make great alternative lockbox ships to Mirror Universe ones.
Got to be the Akira and NX classes, both ships have the simple yet elegant saucer and twin boom hull and nacelles design.
truly beautiful ships to look at
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
ingame, my fav. ship is the akira. nice looking, mean appearing, and completely canon.
my favorite ship in star trek (and I hope to see it ingame someday), is the niagra class. love the three nacelle design, and I have always been a fan of the ambassador star drive section. not to mention the engines and the saucer really tie everything together..
Most beautiful? It is a hard question in opposite to the most ugly one Anyway my vote would go for the Excelsior, followed by the Sovereign and Odyssey.

Canon: Sovereign, Scimitar and B'rel.
Non-canon (as in Cryptic design or other designs): Oddysey, Valdore and Guramba (mostly for the tranformers theme lol).
