IMO the most beautiful ship is the Sovereign.

Fleet Battle Cruiser, because it has fins like a 59 Cadillac Fleetwood. Reversed, but still, fins are cool.

Tough call, but imo it's a tie between the Rhode Island Class (Nova Variant) and the Vesta Class

    LOL, what a stupid question.

Ship are like colors, everyone likes one or other most. I dont like the Sovereign, i mean, i like it, but there are a lot of ships in STO, dozens of em prettier than the sovereign. And this is only an example. In fact, i like more some klingon ships that most of the fed ones lol. Same for romulans..

I don't know what it is, but the Dyson Romulan Sci ship is just georgeous to me. Its like the D'Deridex and Mass Effect had a baby.

Other than that - D'Deridex all the way.

Fed ships are elegant, Klingon ships are detailed, Rom ships are ooo dont step in that

I personally like the Kamarag best, very straight design, neither unfinished nor overdone

I like the Odyssey. I also like how the Caitian Atrox looks, but I hate that ship.

    Non faction: Corvette

Federation: Nimbus class deep space science vessel - as its the meanest looking science vessel the feds have (Seriously, I've had people yetting at me for going non dhc as they thought it was an escort!)

    KDF: B'rel

Romulan: Dyson science destroyer (it looks like the DD had babies with the vet 1000 day ship - plus I never tire of those flip-out dual cannon (although considering the barrel size, they should be dual beam cannon, but thats just me)

It does look a little bit escorty at first glance.

Oh, best looking ship. For me, romulan Valdore hands down.

Orion Warbarge Dreadnought for me. Combines style and brute force really well. Too bad it isn't a player ship.

Hard to decide. I like my personal LRSV kitbash.

I also can't deny that i really like the Defiant (and Sao Paolo, or a kitbash of the two). Particularly with the Veteran material with the Dyson Sphere lighting.

D'Deridex, Mass Effect and the Whitestar (Babylon 5), you mean.

If you look at a distance, the secondary deflector removed or not seen from the perspective, and squint a bit, it really looks more like something along the lines of the patrol or tactical escort. I think you only really get that effect with the Nimbus saucer.

    In no particular order, mind:

Avenger-class, for looking functional. It looks tough and beefy, like a ship built for war, which is exactly what it's supposed to be.

Tor'Kaht-class. I just love the wedge-shaped outline and bird's beak nose.

Daeinos-class. Easily the prettiest of Cryptic's original warbirds.

Galaxy and D'deridex among canon ships.

Nova class..There is NOTHING I would change about that design. My drop dead favorite ship, and the fantastic design is only one of the reasons for that.

There's something I'd change about the in-game design: I'd give it the proper, Intrepid-style deflector dish.
You're right. The work here is very important.

My favorite ship is the Risian Corvette.

Perhaps, but it doesn't bother me too much to be honest.

That's fair - we all have our pet peeves.

I'm also a fan of the always-controversial Odyssey class, and I like the design of both playable Orion ships.

    A hard choice.

Probably go with the classic BOP shape of my fleet Norgh. The pattern on it and the shape both fit together well to make it quite nice looking. Well, it was until I earned the borg tech stuff :( It wins because it has a trek tv/movie iconic look on top of the nice lines. Now if I could just remove the red interior lights for some nice whites...

I kind of like the kdf peghqu destroyer a lot as well.

And for exotics, I like the *opened up* look of the gurumba.
