You are lucky. I already lost a day on Friday when they went down and now it looks like I will miss today, which sadly will make completing this event for me impossible. Thanks alot Cryptic. EPIC FAIL!

They did extend the deadline. You should be able to make it.

What is up with the server being down, and all the time outs. I thought that PWE had the problems solved. The techs who worked on the servers before should be fired since this is a constant thing and new ones should be hired.

Keep in mind the techs are in a rush to get the servers back up, so its not there fault. More then likely its a problem with the back bone the servers are connected to causing the issue since it seems to be a regular happening. Also concidering it takes 2 hours to do routine maintnence, im guessing they are using multiple servers on a multitude of platforms which complicates diagnostics. My two cents. But yes this is rather annoying. Two days of up time and another crash usually does not look favorable to investors.

Just went green again.. you know, I personally don't have any problem with problems whatsoever.. whatever can go wrong will go wrong. But Sirius-ly, why do they not even through the smallest piece of information in our direction. Even after a few hours of downtime there is not the slightest hint that the problem has been acknowledged or anything.. that I don't get.

and lagged right into a disconnect..again.

gonna take this as a sign to call it a night.

    http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/visual-tracert/

the route trace I ran using this site identified hops 5 and 6 as cogentco.

    I searched using patchserver2.crypticstudios.com [208.95.185.41]

Having issues with my connection tonight also. If I can manage to get a character logged in, I get no control response, and after a minute or so I'm kicked back to the log in screen. Same thing happens with Champions Online. Just started this evening.

My internet connection seems fine otherwise and no problems with other games. Not sure what to do as it seems to be effecting only a few people, looks like plenty of people playing just fine in game.

Yes I connect from Verizon. It's either Verizon or Comcast and I don't like Comcast as much.

I haven't had any connection problems with ESO so there's that.

Edit: Never mind, safe mode doesn't help. Must have been a coincidence that I tried safe mode right when the network issues cleared up. Still getting unplayable lag from 7pm til well past 2am cst. Not that anyone cares.

these articles on the diagnose lag thread..if they're true? certainly explain things..

    http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2014/02/netflix-packets-being-dropped-every-day-because-verizon-wants-more-money/

if this is the case..verizon is making the case for me to switch back to optimum.

It's not just Verizon. Cogent is fighting more than just one ISP. Netflix alone is responsible for a lot of the traffic and demands for these ISPs to upgrade their networks.

I don't blame any one party here, but I'm happy with Verizon except for the issues with STO (strangely enough no issues with Netflix) and so I'm more apt to be upset with Cogent. They need to get off their high horse, accept that they're sending way more traffic than they're receiving and negotiate a fair price. That increased traffic means increased costs to run the network so they're not going to get away with this forever. They will eventually pay something. It's already starting with other ISPs so eventually Verizon will get something too.

same issue here, i am from asia region.
seems like this issue only affects users outside US.
I'm also from Asia. Same problem. Can't login until today. How's your connection to STO now?

    I am from Manila, Philippines.

If I am lucky, I get a 45 second lag time when I play. That's enough to get my daily dilithium refined.

Right now, the damn thing isn't even getting past the character page.

I've been getting a lot of disconnects and "Server Not Responding." It's only started since the recent patch (3rd April one) and I live in London, UK. I'm on ethernet and I rarely have connection problems :(

Getting "attempting to connect to controller tracker" when clicking "login" on the launcher, and it just sits there.. If I start the gameclient.exe and try to log in, it just times out. I just don't seem to be able to establish a logon connection. Very odd.
    Anyone else getting this too?
