Well doing a tracert in CMD, it is NOT in my country where the problem is. but beyond that.

    CMD screenshot

It seems to hang itself AFTER this ISP location:

    ISP near Bern

All routes differ however, each route takes a different route set and each differs.

So, apolagies to Cryptic. But I have a feeling my frustrations about this incident plus the past days of problems can justify Cryptic being pointed at. Just hate to see my day being ruined by problems like these, the few days I can actually game I preffer to game instead of doing someones job for them.

Do we get compensation time for the mirror event? I already lost a few days and was running tight, but would've made it if I could log on today.

    Lol

    node: atlas.cogentco.com

Some People and the cryptic game in 2011 have with the same problem and older games from 2007.

    Search on internet, Google it.

Node is located in the North America.

So the problem for EU is not in the EU but part Of the USA. So they have to fixed at There end.

Odd, that stostatus website is located in the USA, yet it still shows servers are offline. Now I do not know how this website gets their information, but it is at least 'odd' that only the EU seems to have problems while this site being non-EU also shows there is something going on. Anyone know the details on this perhaps?

Everytime I've gone to that website it always says it's down so I stopped paying attention to it.

having the issue as well.. still using the old launcher and it won't even start because it can't reach the patch servers, so the "mirror" idea s not an option..

i manage an irc chat network and we also had connectivity issues between our main US hub in Chicago and some of the servers located in europe, so it's not just STO that s affected.. but since I can control the way it links & routes traffic we managed to work around it by using a route that doesn't go through that faulty node.. just wish i could get the launcher to start, then maybe i could configure a proxy using a different route..

for a routing issue this big, i'd have expected them to have ifixed it by now, or at least divert traffic away from that node/route.. :(

Welcome to buggy online. I haven't bought any zen for the last year because they fail to make the bugs go away. The interface is screwed, the e-mail system sucks, the fleet and friends section is nuts. This is a game from the 80's. I'm out when Star Citizen comes out.

My car won't start. Since I was mad at my dog yesterday and three days ago, clearly it's my dog's fault, and I should yell at him until the car starts again!

Have looked on the world wide web.
Read from over the years that cogent still have problems.

Best thing is that Cryptic make sure that they reroute the pacthservers to bypass the cogent isp.

They have to that or the will lose lots of money from Europe.

Getting patch server down in Australia as well.

Reading posts from last year when cogentco.com's fibre optic cable was cut. maybe that problem has not been fixed correctly. This service from cogneto.com is where the main patch server gets its hop from.

Its not Cryptic that is down, but its the main feed in. So at present I think this issue we are all having is beyond PW/Cryptic control.
Maybe PW/Cryptic should look at another server for their feed. Just a suggestion.

Can you all try again? Our Amsterdam office is able to connect now, so the regional ISP issue may be resolved.

That's not how the Internet works. They have no way of controlling the route your ISP takes to their servers.

But like I said earlier, bashing Cryptic is a popular sport around here.

I'm in again. Then again, located roughly 10 Km from A'dam so i cannot confirm or deny for other locations.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
