Glad that the loadout active doffs got included into the build but very disappointed that the feedback for dumping items from loadouts into the inventory was ignored, swap a couple of loadouts and your inventory is full even if you have extra inventory slots...
Why can't the system place the old gear when switching loadouts in the slots where it s pulling the new gear from? There'd still be cases in which it has to dump some stuff to inventory, for example when pulling a DBB from a cruiser, it couldn't put the DHC it s replacing in the cruiser's weapon slot, but at least it would prevent most consoles and shields/engines/cores from having to be dumped to inventory..
The dumping to inventory kind of makes this whole mechanic useless.. if I change to a laodout specific for CE for example, I'd appreciate not having to fly all the way to a starbase just in order to get a few free inventory slots by dumping stuff in my bank or on other ships.. might as well switch gear manually..
Sure the overflow bag will ensure I don't actually lose gear when the inventory is full, but I won't be able to pick up loot anymore either... if switching to another loadout means 10-20 slots in the inventory will be taken up by the old gear, it won't be saving me many trips to a SB anyways..
The above issue is a deal breaker for me.. without a solution loadouts is useless..
Assuming that can be resolved.. selling 10 loadout slots per character?!
Seriously, this either needs to be shared across an account (preferable) or (at least) allow me to split the loadout slots across multiple characters before binding them to a char..
A single loadout purchase option or maybe an option to buy just 2 would work around this, but this is something that really belongs on account level in my opinion..
btw.. any chance of vets getting a couple more then the 2 standard slots per character for silver players..
As per my feedback on tribble regarding the dumping of items into inventory. It makes the loadout and item switching systems worthless.
Please can we have a toggle to turn them both off?
It actually makes swapping stuff out slower than the old way...
Are we able to activate loadouts on "inactive" ships without having to switch over to them?
For example, I normally keep the Adapted Borg set on my Tuffli (speed-ship). However, I would love to one-click the set over to, say, a Vesta, for touring the galaxy. When done, I'd re-loadout to my combat spec, and want to put the Adapted set back on the Tuffli.
Could I do that via the loadout system without pulling the Tuffli as the active ship? If so, this system might have some use for me, otherwise, it's going to wind up being a bit of a waste for me as I usually don't have multiple setups for most ships...
Well, outside of the trays finally remembering the power slots based on ship, and not "generic slotting setup"...
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

Well, I for one am glad to see the KDF mining restriction lifted although it really took you guys a lot of time. I hope in the future these KDF exclusive glitches/bugs get regular attention.
Oh and while we're at it, how 'bout them costumes? I know it's listed in the known issues, but it has been a known issue for a lot of time, plese do somthing about it soon.
Also any news on a fix for the Seson 8 graphical glitching/bug yet? To not have it even mentioned is disenheartning to say at least.
fix the dyson armor for the Caitians, we can not use the costume with out it cutting off our tails. nore can we show the dyson armor cos it also cuts our tails off
HELL YES!! The best patch ever!
One of the most annoying bugs gets killed today. Bye bye power tray mess.

"Each ship has 2 free loadouts and a maximum of 32.
Additional loadout slots can be purchased in the C-Store in sets of 10.
Use them in any order on any number of ships, and discharge a ship to have the slots refunded to you."
Huh? So if I have a loadout slot on my lockbox ship, in order to retrieve the loadout slot I need to DELETE THE SHIP??
Wow - that seems drastic.
Don't get me wrong, I've been waiting for the loadout option for a long time, very excited to see it coming to holodeck. But between the 'dump to inventory' issue and the 'just discharge your ship', I have to say that it really does look like these features are only implemented as a way to try to force more purchases (inventory slots, loadout options)

Changing a build takes any gear currently equipped and places it into your inventory or Overflow bag.
How long before the first rage post when someone blindly vendors all the stuff in their inventory only to discover half of it was their own ship's equipment?

Dont bother.. its reported months ago. As well for the tier 1 maco armor. I love caitians but seriously.. sigh.
Again, a really dumb patch. The only thing they added, the loadout system (that will carry millions of bugs, if not, just REMEMBER my words). No important bugs fixed, again. "Good" job, cryptic. But well, everyone seems to be happy as long as they receive new content. At least the tactic is working..
I have a toon that cant change costume at all, he's stuck running round like santa!
this has been a "know issue" since the beginning of December any idea when it might be fixed?
As I stated before you can create two new slots for your Klingon, so you have 3 working ones again. The frozen slots remain stuck however. You will have 5 slots then of which 3 are working.
You can still transfer the looks of the frozen slots with the load/save costume feature.
I hope they fixed the EV suit bug. I really didn't like my romulan in her EV suit with only the legs showing, rest of body in uniform, and walking around headless.
It's not Halloween yet, is it?

The above issue is a deal breaker for me.. without a solution loadouts is useless..
I've been saying this all along.
The way loadouts should be implemented properly, IMHO, is as follows:
1) 'onUnload' -> First check *any* valid open positions on any other ship; and, if available, use those. Won't this mess up other ships? No (See under 3).
2a) If other ship slots can't be used (not meeting class requirements), dump to inventory... but NOT to Overflow Bag! If Inventory is full, and needed, simply don't replace anything (with some sort of warning).
2b) Perform a 'smart,' recursive off-loading to other ships. Which is to say, when the only open ship slot exists on a ship that can't hold the DHCs you're trying to 'get rid of,' don't just give up, but find another ship that *can* hold DHCs, but has none loaded (or other weps). Then create room on this ship by switching weps with the ship that did have the open position (but didn't meet class requirements). Then, lastly, use the ship that can fit the DHCs.
3) When switching to a new ship, perform a default 'onLoad' of the current chosen loadout. That may seem redundant, but is done so temp-stored items in this ship (under the Nr. 1 and Nr. 2b paradigm) will be cleared again.
This system makes temp-storing off-loaded items onto other ships entirely transparent: you won't ever notice they were there, switching ships. And it will significantly reduce the need to use inventory (almost reduce the need to 0, really, when 2b is implemented properly).
Glad that the loadout active doffs got included into the build but very disappointed that the feedback for dumping items from loadouts into the inventory was ignored, swap a couple of loadouts and your inventory is full even if you have extra inventory slots...
Exactly! I believe that is what the swap system should do! Replace the items you have taken from one ship and put back in empty slots of the ship that not in use.
The same should go for ground equipment. Ergo the term SWAP.
How long before the first rage post when someone blindly vendors all the stuff in their inventory only to discover half of it was their own ship's equipment?
This...^^^ is exactly why I won't be using the load outs, I only move 3/4 pieces of gear
anyway, and it vomits them back into the mix of my inventory where I have to move them
somewhere out of the way so as not to get sold off, so I have to move it anyway....useless
As for the dumping into inventory issue. Just keep your eyes open before you sell something. The stuff on your ships is bound. The only exception I can think of are the rare mk XII polaron tac consoles.
Tyr shall give me strength! For the glory of Tempus! I am the hands of Shar! Flames of Kossuth, protect me! Oghma, grant me knowledge! Lolth commands, and I obey!
Will have to see how the load-out thing works... Haven't tested on Tribble with the stupid grind thing going on. Not sure, but the ships on my main toon all have individual loadouts (beams for cruisers, cannons on escorts). The only things I would need to swap out would be the open spots in the consoles for the universals... I'm hoping that by switching to a new ship, things that can stay on the ship stay on the ship. If they don't stay and everything goes to inventory regardless, then ship-swapping will be more of a pain than a help...

That's all well and good but I'm sure we both know there are plenty of players out there who, even if Cryptic put up neon flashing warning signs all over the screen, will still end up vendoring half their equipment.
Even those who pay attention may still get caught out. Say someone changes their loadout and 2 consoles get dumped into their inventory (one of them a Lobi one). They then decide to do a foundry loot farming mission. When they go to vendor the drops they're in a bit of a rush and suddenly there's the potential that a Lobi console has just been vendored.
I hope they fixed the EV suit bug. I really didn't like my romulan in her EV suit with only the legs showing, rest of body in uniform, and walking around headless.
I've actually been enjoying this. Running around as a headless klingon with a ripped Khan shirt rather than looking like a bogstandard EV suit certainly made last weekends Dilithium mining grind more entertaining.
It's entirely cosmetic, but it bugs me that the Intrepid-class warp nacelles don't lock into warp mode when you fly through sector space. No mention of a fix for this in tonight's patch, can I at least assume the team is aware of this problem and are working towards a fix for it sooner rather than later?
I noticed this too the other day, it is strange. But maybe too difficult for them to have a ship with a different model whether in Sector space or a regular map?
