    i know its not a ddos attack but it sure did remind me of the old days of skids booting people from private servers in other games.

    Damn it Cryptic. Good job completely TRIBBLE up today. I spent more time waiting for the problems to be fixed than I did playing. Only got to run the new FE twice!
    Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

    The problem with network issues are they can be time consuming to fix properly. I am guessing with as many issues today, they don't have the necessary equipment to fix the issue correctly and have just tried to patch it together. Unfortunately that never lasts long at all especially with the amount of traffic they're having to handle today.


    The 4th anniversary event should have been seperate from the release of Season 8.5.

    FAW still isn't properly fixed. FAW crit rate is still WAAAY lower than autofire. Someone on Tribble suggested it was an acc overflow issue.

    It's obvious they will give everyone a free Special Requisition Pack - Borg Tactical Cube as a sorry for all the downtime. :)

    Well extending the event time wouldn't be that unreasonable. I can't quite recall but didn't they do that for a previous event/season release which had a similar case of exploding-network syndrome?

    Blame their network issues, not Cryptic. Cryptic did the best they could in order to prevent this, you can't always be perfect on preventing this from happening.
    I would love to visit this star in-game...or maybe this one!

    Bugga... now I have to spend time with the family.

    I went out and sat in the lounge room with everybody else, and the room fell silent... no one knows what to do now.

    I'm thinking of getting a t-shirt made up to wear on these occassions...

    Agreed. I have seen it happen loads of times and its not anyone's fault...it just happens no matter how hard you try to avoid it.

    I find it interesting that all Cryptic games go down at the same time for maintenance (as if on the same network) yet this "network issue" only affects STO...
