Steps Between Stars - all black rooms for some players *Resolved*

We've all been thoroughly enjoying our time in this mission I'm sure. To make it even better, upon entering the EV suit portion the entire station, debris field, etc blacks out. This makes the mission near impossible to complete without a great deal of blind luck. To really add some deliciousness to this feast of joy, upon beaming out, all other graphical models become blacked out as well. Ships, stations, people, etc.

    I can get as far as putting on the EV suit put as soon as I step out into space I lose all textures and lighting. I am at the point where I need to investigate debris.

    Anyone else with this issue and have you over come it?

    So when you have to go out of the station in the new mission my screen goes almost completely black. Very little light at all. Is this how its supposed to be? Or is this a bug?

    Getting the same thing. Can just see dark shapes, nothing else.

    Seriously hope it aint bugged.

    Its unplayable its so dark... Cant see what I am supposed to be doing.

    There's no flash lights there mate. Everything is pitch black, except the background with the sun. The buildings, and characters are all black.. Nearly looks like it's not textured, or they forgot to add lights in that part of the mission...

    Sounds like the FE is borked indeed. Getting the very same happening. Everything goes pitch black, can only see some colors that I think are the sun, but apart from that, it's dark.

    My char is all blakc, and so are the structures.

    Did you not QA this mission Cryptic??

    Really bad when the new FE is borked to heck... :mad:

    Is it possible to take some screens and post them here?
    Also what graphic specs are you running the game at currently?

    This is what I'm getting too, as shown in the pic linked.

    Using high GFX settings, no shadows, and a few other setting I can't remember, butI have never gotten this issue before at all, so I doubt it's my or anyone elses settings...

    I have never gotten this issue before at all, so I doubt it's my or anyone elses settings...
    agreed , have used higher settings on other things before , And never had an issue like this

    Had the same problem. After a few mins of messing around with the video settings, switching from high to low settings, I found setting it to direct X 11 fixed the issue.

    I'm running tweaked off around the middle of the range, but I've tried it at minimum and maximum settings as well with no change. Was running DX9, going to try DX9 EX (can't do DX11 because my card doesn't support it)

    Yup, same here. Can't get the "payload" because I can't see the thing! Brilliant.

    I wonder what's going on over in TOR today... :mad:
