Error 13577077

When I change Ground to space or Space to ground I get this error along with this.

I took a screen shot cause it was easier.

Fatal Error: Direct3D driver returned error code (D3DERR_INVALIDCALL) while creating a texture.

    Technical Details: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL while creating 2D texture size 4096 x 2048 (1 mips, RTEX_DXT1, usage 4, Mgyd Y, GS N) ATI Radeon X1250

    New Error Code ... 13577077

I find it very hard to believe that this is related to a bad chipset on my end, as this same system ran ST:O fine, in 1920x1080 mode while a second monitor ran normal windows functions up until Season 8 launched.

So if Cryptic is going to tell me that my Vram is bad, or that I need a new driver, then I am going to be pretty unhappy with their technical support knowledge.

Or you could just post your dxdiag here and we can save you the time and tell you the drivers need replacing/or re-downloaded :D

I just got the same crash, but I have a different chipset.

After mission in Gamma Orionis, transwarped to New Romulus. Crash came while loading in the new zone.

Crash dumped me directly to windows, with a windows error box which reads:

Fatal Error: Direct 3D driver returned error code (D3ERR_INVALIDCALL) while creating a texture.

    Technical Details: D3ERR_INVALIDCALL while creating 2D texture size 4096 x 2048 (1 mips, RTEX_DXT1, usage 4, Mgd Y, GS N) ATI FireGL V3100

But hey, after missing a month with the last bug, at least I can play now. Silver lining in that Gravity Well. ;)

as far as my understanding goes the 3der error is caused when the program sends what your driver thinks is invalid or bad info.

it can be fixed 2 ways i know of.
1, cryptic can change the graphics parameters

    2 a uninstall and reinstall/change drivers

Considering they closed the other topic, I think they are simply passing the buck because they don't want to fix a mistake that they created. It's obvious that there are still problems and they have nothing to do with our end.

    Hi Captains,

If you're still crashing, it is most likely not related to a graphics issue on our end -- these have been resolved, and this this thread is now being resolved.

The recommended course of action is to file a new tech support ticket, including your crash number and system information. They should be able to help from there.

Hope to see you back in-game soon!

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

this worries me. i think this a "computer says no" scenario, you may be here a while becouse as far as they are concerned, its not their problem

Is this another persistent officer deal? ...I see a couple of familiar posters already LOL. For me the error happens randomly... first map loads fine, then it doesn't, relaunch it works again. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when the map crashes. This is especially annoying when I'm just hitting the same system for EC... ugh!

I too have the 13577077 error after about 15-20 minutes and I am confused. Why is all of this happening now? Before season 8 launch, I could stay on for hours and not experience a single issue. And I cannot update my graphics chipset any further as I checked and there are no more updates for it.

Ok after about 50 or so crashes I am noticing something.....(Yes I can be a bit slow...)

The texture that is causing the crashes is on the loading screen. Nothing to do with gameplay.
The Season 8 Sphere add loads fine but some of the others are causing the problem. Keep your eyes open on the loading screen and let me know if I am not alone in seeing this.

Any one get the "material files reload" constantly in the bottom left of load screen? It would seem the 'persistent' fix is a rinky-dink override of the files that crash load screen, not a rewrite. I get the crash about 50/50 just leaving Sol space dock.

    Welcome Back, Persistent Officers!
    So Error 13577077.
This is what I have noticed on my end.
Once I load into the game I have exactly four map changes/loading screens/character changes, before I crash to desktop and getting
--> Fatal Error: Direct3D driver returned error code (D3DERR_INVALIDCALL) while creating a texture.

    Technical Details: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL while creating 2D texture size 4096 x 2048 (1 mips, RTEX_DXT1, usage 4, Mgyd Y, GS N) ATI Radeon X1200

Seriously after a month of waiting to play again, I login only to get derailed loading into different instances. I noticed a lot of graphical improvements on my end but it all kind of got spoiled when I keep crashing after every fourth loading screen I encounter.

So here is one example checklist of how I can replicate the error 100%, starting from character select.
I spent the last few hours doing this on purpose to find a pattern in the crash.

    [*]Selected character.

    [*]Initial load in to game.
    First load screen.

    [*]Join any STF.
    Second load screen.

    [*]Finish STF.
    Third load screen.

[*]Now join different STF or wait for cool down.
Fourth load screen will load to a random number or crash right at the end of the warp out cenimatic.

Anyways I think I'm going to stop purposefully crashing the game and go read a book or something.

after fishing around other forums, i found that champions online had the same issue. the consensus was that, champions started running on DX9 and many of the cards couldnt support that.

im sorry to say you may either need a DX update or a graphics card update. i am looking for a fix, and will share when i find one

Yup I am also getting this error. Pretty sure it is running at the 4 screens and then crash.

Worked fine before season 8. Cant be our end or is Cryptic passing the buck....

And I agree there are some familiar names on here.

so far i have tried to force small textures, but it causes the launcher to crash, will keep looking

i have tryed using a batch file to emulate new parameters. again causing crash.
(this usually works on normal pc games)

ahh i seee. im afraid i cant do anything as a user, cryptic don't like you messing with their files. sorry

I see you log on, but that'd explain why you log off immediately... sigh...

Also, ya, this bug, it's kinda random but worse in the wonderland, so I left Q's because it was pissing me off...

it's not a map error, if I die, I can respawn a few times, then it comes up, at random, but only during a map change or a respawn.
