Unable to Chat, See Chat, Friends, or Custom Channels *Resolved*

All my friends, all my chat channels, and chat generally are all invisible for me right now. I can neither chat nor see chat.

I have already tried "/whitelist_chat 0" but that did not work.

Any ideas?

    the chat has gone blank and no longer works also with social tab i cannot use search function or see what friends are online Hope i give the heads up to the devs :)

    Got the same problem. No channels work for me either.Friends list and Search is blank

    All I did was change character, now I can't even pm let alone talk in channels

    I can see my fleet's roster, but am unable to send a PM to anyone.

    It all started when i tried pm'ing a buddy. I was unable to pm him but i could still talk in fleet chat then I restarted the game and now no chat and no buddy list lol

    At 1st I thought there were only a few people having this issue (fleet members and ventrillo helps here :D), but this seems to be very big.

    Yeah it died for me the instant I cancelled my sub. I was thinking WTF?? lol

    is chat down for the moment or im having an internet issue?
    cant see any chat and cant see the channel and even all my friend list are gone?

    Im not sure what i did ... :(

    Update: im able to talk in my fleet global channel but my buddy list is still blank

    I can run around and see people, but I can't actually talk to anybody. No local, zone, whispers, or anything.

    there is something wrong with the chat system, friends list, etc etc.

    Same here, if Season 8 would've been released 4 12 hours ago, this would have been perfectly normal.
    I would love to visit this star in-game...or maybe this one!

    You can add mail system to the list as well.

    It seems as though this may be affecting the mail system as well. I was on the exchange selling piles and piles of keys, and despite getting the EC notifications, I was not getting any of what should have been dozens of mails. Then when the chat came back up, I got two (timestamped half an hour previous) which I couldn't delete for several minutes.

    Same here, looks like the servers are going bonkers for the... let's see... I guess I've kind of lost count.
