Personally I think the "After 5 o'clock" tech got a prank phone call and the person told him that pressing Alt+F4 will make him a hero to the entire company. :P

I've never had so many disconnect issues before the new Romulan launch...I love this game and am willing to put more money in, but it's discouraging when I can't even play it due to constant lags and numerous disconnects per day.

PWE should write a book and make this a chapter in it called "how to alienate your players". Would be nice to get a response from them, it's been a few hours already.

    The plan is working...

Whatever fertility doctor Cryptic has the shard going to, it's not helping. No amount of Viagra in the world seems able to keep the server up.

    Server Problems:

I would be happy to come work for pwe and do what your company has failed to do.

    1. Setup Mirror Servers Worldwide(Cloud For Non-Techies)
    2. Fire the patch writers / Network Admins
    3. Trash the crappy launcher (big problem)
    4. Trash the pando media booster (bigger problem)
    5. Spend money made on infrastructure upgrades
    6. Dont nerf or punish members instead reward them for dealing with previous company fails.
    7. Dont release new content until other issues are fully fixed.
    8. Move from file based databases that require lots of file locks and defrags to MYSQL.
    9. Dont BS the memberbase.

Anyone else wish to add to the list?

2 and 1/2 hours down time. Not good.

I supposed I'll have to completely redo the mission I was in the middle of transitioning from one area to the next when the server crashed. I'm not a happy camper.

This doesn't necessarily have the hallmarks of a code glitch. I'll admit, it could be software, but there might be hardware at fault somewhere too. Without seeing what their engineers can see I don't want to say it's one or the other. If Neverwinter was down too, I'd be more inclined to agree it was code.

These outages happen way too often to be a hardware problem.

So do we know what happened yet, did the engineers turn off the server and turn it back on yet, or hit control alt delete? what is going on here? Here I know wave an ancient bone over the server and go boga boga boga, ha ha ha, that should fix it.:P

Maybe they did hire new it guy and he did us all a favor and threw the server out the window???

ACTUALLY, IT IS WORSE THAN THAT.

*Hint: It has something to do with why we can't get any of our characters.*

*Bigger Hint: Go to here and see what it says: http://sto.perfectworld.com/community/tribble-test *

*Tip instead of Hint: In the Local Data Folder all of the local game files except the one are missing.*

*Helping Tip: Try using the live server now all it will do is freeze and not do anything, except show logging in or whatever.*

All my game files are there...
