I'm a lifetime not a gold member which means I coughed up the $$ at the start with the same expectation that the servers would be up most of the time. It would be cool if they gave every player at least an accolade for the wait something like "The Fonder Heart" because of the patience we have to have while we are wating.
However to be clear being in the U.S. we are not being compensated just like europe.

Installed the game last night, but it was too late to play. Was really looking forward to spending Memorial day playing. But, somehow, you guys are dumb enough to patch today. Really? Uninstalling now. Back to RIFT/SWTOR. Ciao, morons.

-Come on, stop complaining...its just a new daily released with LoR...called maintenance....duration: 2h, cooldown 22h. 100% Critical failure, so come back tomorrow & try again

Whine whine whine whine, whine whine, whine. More whine sir?

Get a grip, its a 2 hour downtime. To that nerdrager on the first page who almost broke down and cried while abusing any cryptic staff that happened to read the post, seriously get over yourself. Last i checked, you didn't represent the European STO community.

I for one, don't mind a 2 hour downtime. Ok yes, its slightly annoying, but its cool. Stuff is getting fixed. Thats all you need to know. The mail is broke, yes. Is it a game changer? No. The PVE queue is annoying yes, can you still queue for STF events? Yes.

You want real problems, having to queue with 25000 people to play. Is that bad? Yes, very. Did they fix it? Yes. Server lag, is it a gamechanger? Yes. Did they fix it? Yes. So toughen up. Here is a handkerchief, now wipe those tears away.

Just chill out and stop being the stereotypical college student who hates the world and hates every symbol of authority they can come into contact with....just because. Even video game staff. Do you think they are lying about server downtimes? They just pop them in for a laugh at our expense? They dont need lots of hormonally emotional young adults griefing them up on a forum over their job. Especially as half of the people gobbing it off on here, probably dont even pay a dime to play and support the game.

Everytime i look at these forums, its filled with 80% whinging, whining, arrogant, stuck up, selfish, small minded, first world problem hoarders, that have nothing better to do than make other people feel miserable reading their crackless chatter on here. I really am tired of it. It wont even change anything, it just makes you look like a child.

The only thing worse than that i have just described, is these absolute losers who have signatures on this forum that say something bad about cryptic or PWE......that is the definition of needing a life, seriously.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK CRYPTIC, THE EXPANSION IS GREAT.

The only gripe i do have is that your customer services is shockingly terribad. Like really. It might as well not even be there. Sorting that out would make people whine less i believe, because then they would actually know what was going on with their problem rather than waiting weeks for a response and getting an automated email, saying thanks for nothing.

    tbh priority for me is:
1 Server load stability (keeping lag lo and connection drop outs to a minimum.
2 Fixing peoples login and char switching problems.
3 Fixing Pve que auto disconnects/warp outs

imo those are the biggest prioity as they are major game bugs effecting a lot of peoples ability to get ingame and enjoy the vast majority of content and thus will keep paying cryptic and keep it free for those who wont or dont feel the nee to pay

rest are low priority ingame bugs...mail whilst frustrating is hardly game breaking priority.

patience is a virtue im a uk player yes its irritating 2hours a day in prime playing time however if this was everquest 1 or 2 infact there would have been days of no play or 4-5 7-8 hour patches and still a broken game irrelivent of game and population so just be happy its only a 2 hour interupt in playing a game.

Game will be down for two hours, hmm. I guess I will go get a coffee, mow the lawn, feed the cats, change the litter box, and do a few other things, and then when the game comes back up exclaim to me wife, "Look hun I just did all this work so I am going to go play STO for a few hours ok."

It's all about taking lemons and making some hard lemonaid, and while I am not a LTS member, I have a paid gold membership and am approaching day 300.

Wow, thats heavy, emotional stuff dude. I bet the PWE command centre just went to DEFCON 1 red alert because you said you arent going to play this free to play game anymore.

I would be on standby for an actual phonecall inbound, asking you to come back and continue contributing absolutely nothing to this game except whiny posts on the forums.

here is a very small violin playing just for you. Enjoy SWTOR, great game......*cough*

I am a gold paying member, in europe, the losst of 2 hours per day in a week means that there is gone 10 hours of game time. That means that I have paid for game time that is not being compensated back to me in any way shape or form.

If this had been US and you had shut it down then you would definately come up with some kind of compensation for the lack of gametime.

I am serious fed up with the bull that is coming out of cryptics mouth and I do not believe a single word thats said about "server stability" and jackshiiit.

Poney up the missing amount of hours and I might be kinder.

Sorry dude, even in the US, with US based companies this happens, and no user is given, nor are they entitled to, compensation of any kind.

It is laid out in the ToS.

    http://www.perfectworld.com/about/terms

    18. Interruption of Service

    (a) PWE reserves the right to interrupt the Service from time to time on a regularly scheduled basis or otherwise with or without prior notice in order to perform maintenance. You agree that PWE will not be liable for any interruption of the Service, delay or failure to perform resulting from any causes whatsoever.
    (b) You acknowledge that the Service may be interrupted for reasons beyond the control of PWE, and PWE cannot guarantee that you will be able to access the Services or your Account whenever you may wish to do so. PWE shall not be liable for any interruption of the Services, delay or failure to perform resulting from any causes whatsoever.
    (c) PWE has the right at any time with or without reason to change and/or eliminate any aspect(s) of the Services as it sees fit in its sole discretion.
    (d) PWE is not be obligated to refund all or any portion of any Account fee (if any), by reason of any interruption of the Services by reason of any of the circumstances described in paragraph (a) or (b).

Everyone clicks that they agree to the Terms of Service, but 90% or more never bother to actually read what it says, then they rage later on.

From a CS Standpoint, it is really sad.

This is not a moan in any way as I do enjoy playing but I think it is time for some account refunds/gift I know this work has to be done but ask urselfs how many times as the server been off this week alone, as one guy pointed out right in the middle of Europes prime game time, As a company You now have to dig deep and offer some sort of refund its only fair or I feel you are in risk of losing gamers as its now getting out of hand. I would rather the server be off once all day if it solves the problems but not over 3 days if not more.

^^Yes, you are both right. My best friend is British and we've been laughing at all the whining going on.

We chat all day long, even when we're playing STO. She bullied me into joining and then bullied me into a Romulan when LoR was released.

(I was replying to the Brits asking what time it would be down, page 17)
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.

Why is another maintenance necessary, and why at this time?

We do understand that this time is unfortunately inconvenient for some of our players, though in this particular situation we have server-side maintenance tasks that need to be performed ASAP in order to ensure a smooth play experience for everyone. We will do our best to complete this maintenance as quickly as we can in hopes of keeping the downtime to a minimum.

Thanks for your patience and support!

-Dezstravus and the Star Trek Online Team

Did not answer the question. There was maintenance YESTERDAY. Why were the issues not fixed YESTERDAY instead of TRIBBLE things up and TRIBBLE your customers out of more play time (that many of us pay for) TODAY?

Do not give a party line BS answer, simple tell us how someone could be so incompetent as to require 2 unscheduled downtimes for shard maintenance in a 24 hour period.

But even if we all understood the eula how many people would actually go,Oh hang on i don't agree nope i wont play this game... we just hope for a nice gaming experiance and when it doesn't happen... Q.Q -.-

True. One would think that people would understand that you don't get compensated for a company making a game better.

Maybe this will help those people understand their chances of compensation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5QGkOGZubQ
