1. There is a new Expansion out.
2. It is a US Holiday weekend.
This means that everyone should expect a much higher than usual load on the servers, log in times, lag, etc. because there are going to be thousands of more players trying to all get into the system because of 1 & 2 above.
This also means that issues that normally wouldn't happen with the fewer log ins are manifesting themselves, and the techs are having to deal with them frequently. (the down times and ER maintenance).
A royal PITA, yes, but most certainly not unexpected.

That's because as far as they know the charge was disputed because the paypal, credit card, what have you that used to buy it was stolen, and the rightful owner disputed. Its also something that can get fixed, might require some proving who they are, and some work, but its that or they potentially let someone use their game to run rampant with someone elses bank account.

Riiight When PWE starts mass murdering it's player base, than you can compare, till then pick up a book and read up on the guy, and how censoring a privately own forum is not the same at all.
Considering that a lot of the posts in the forums lately has been harsh attacks on Cryptic, the devs, threats against them with respect to lawsuits, or that they should essentially commit suicide, and such, I can understand them removing such threads. The Forums truly show the WORST in people.

Except it's advertised as a feature to have priority login for gold and lts members. Not abiding by that is a breach of consumer laws due to false advertising. Whether it's the right thing to do to put f2p players second is another matter entirely.
From what I can see on the LTS section, haven't checked the "Features Matrix" yet. But I think they may have removed that feature as it's not advertised there.

I'm up to about 946 (Golden) days subbed so far (I started back in Jan. 2010 but I took a few months off for another game).
It takes me about 30 seconds to log in.
We did have a short queue today due to so many players logging in to play, but players were getting in fairly quickly. Gold members (LTS and subs) have Priority Login, so while you were in a queue, you were placed in the front. :eek:
That's been an issue since the launch last week. I'm a lifer and not supposed to have a queue, but we get stuck too. Usually it doesn't last long enough to even read the numbers. Not sure if I'm getting priority login or not. But if you had a significant enough of a wait to write a forum post, it could be a ploy by PWE to get you to pony up some cash.

okay this is really getting old , this que BS is for beta TRIBBLE , STO IS NOT BETA , so pwi get your TRIBBLE together stop being so cheap and buy another server. i regret spending money on the game now seeing how poorly PWI is managing the game , and to even think at one point i was even considering getting a life time member ship , well seeing how things have been since the new stuff came out , i don't think so. ill go and give my money to a company that isn't having multiple issues every single freaking week.
