It was not better ESTF wise, unless you were going for a very specific build with full -threat consoles for the Mogai alongside with plasma dhcs.

The 2 eng slots were a horror survivability wise. Now the most escort looking ship behaves like a patrol escort. Nice.

But then again, Romulans should really have dedicated science vessels, not only sciency escorts.
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

Not COMPLETELY new...they all start with the Ha'- prefix, like the Ha'apax, so I'm guessing they're variants on that.
That's a good point too :) Can't wait to see them
    Was named Trek17.

Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.

    General:

Updated Temporal Ambassador to remove an errant reference to a Tholian Recluse.

I'm glad this is fixed. does this mean that both text and voice references are changed?

Looks like a lot of good changes and additions! :)

So, this hair update, I suppose it is a graphical update? Kinda hoping for some new
    hairstyles

I am also not too happy about the switch of the LtCmdr Sci slot from the Mogai to
the Dehlan - I really like the Mogai and wanted to fly that with the old boff seating :(

2 is all you need... I don't know what your talking about especially if you use cloak and the singularity powers right... why not use threat- consoles when you are damage.. ? If you want a warbird tank use the d'deridex sure its turn rate is bad but it can survive alot.

I'm curious about the hair update, hoping romulan females may have access to long hairstyles.

No, no, no, no. You ruined my shopping list! Why did you change the LtCmdr Sci slot for the Mogai/Valdore with the Dhelan?
Who cares for the Delan. I want my Sci'y Fleet Mogai *breaksoutintears*:(:(:(:(

To be honest, I was rather disappointed in that as well. The awesome T5 Mogai build I had now has to be crammed into an escort. Also very disappointed that all the lighter warbirds lost their third device slot; not only was it a nice little perk to help distinguish them from escorts, but I've been going through a lot of batteries courtesy of the power reduction (not as a general counteract, mind you, but for when my few healing powers REALLY needed to work...).

That being said, I loved the Dhelan design, so having an excuse to fly it kinda takes the sting out.

The Bridge Officers Tovan, Satra, Veril and Hiven are now customizable.
    • They retain their unique starting appearance and each has a small selection of unique parts that only he/she can wear.
    • However, players will also be able to fully customize these Bridge Officer costumes with all the body scaling, face options, hair options, and clothes options available to their parent species.

YES!!! Thank you so very, very much! I'm much to keep them on my crew now :D

question any word on if the annoying facial expression change when you ally with KDF has been fixed?

I'd like to know about this as well. Soon as I picked KDF my Romulan got REALLY pissed at me apparently and never let it go.

This is an interesting update, now the only thing left is testing it all up. Sadly I can't do that now, the only day I came to work without my laptop, then you guys go and patch the servers haha:D

    • Added beeps to the Singularity power/progress bar.
    • Added some new music tracks for Romulan ambience and combat scenarios.
    • Updated every ship in the game to resolve an issue that caused black textures for players using DX11.
    • The default setting for VO from contact windows has been updated, so that closing the window will end the voice over.
      • This matches the behavior currently seen on Holodeck.
    • Reman parts are now no longer available to players who haven't unlocked them.
      • Tsk tsk for trying to pull the sun down, though we admire the endeavor.
    • Romulan and KDF characters should no longer be so jittery or have seams on their necks during character creation.
    • Hair has been updated.
    • Mine Trap event: Updated rewards to give out a Mark pack that gives you a choice of Romulan Marks or Fleet Marks.
    • The Crystalline Entity queued event is now available in both Normal and Elite versions.
      • Completing this event awards items and Dilithium, plus a box that grants you your choice of Nukara or Fleet marks.
        • 25 marks for Normal, 40 marks for Elite.
    • Cutting the Cord: Added VO to cutscenes and elsewhere throughout mission.
    • Foundry: Went through ALL costumes and renamed them to remove all incidences of duplicates.
    • Foundry: Resolved an issue where sometimes the shields on a ship would be reported as 1/-1 while previewing.

    Romulans:
    • The Bridge Officers Tovan, Satra, Veril and Hiven are now customizable.
      • They retain their unique starting appearance and each has a small selection of unique parts that only he/she can wear.
      • However, players will also be able to fully customize these Bridge Officer costumes with all the body scaling, face options, hair options, and clothes options available to their parent species.
    • All of the Romulan missions are now available for those players in the closed beta.
    • Updated VO and text in all the missions to resolve instances where the two didn't align.
    • The Romulan Lore Master now looks as mature as he sounds.
    • Romulans who have allied with Starfleet or the KDF will now play level up FX and audio correctly.
    • Remotely contacting New Romulus Command for Bridge Officers gained by ranking will now properly display the officer on New Romulus who handles Bridge Officer recruitment.
    • Romulans now unlock Duty Officers upon completion of the mission Neutral No More.
    • Romulan NPCs should no longer be walking around with Federation weapons.
    • Hooked up new Kits for the kit rewards in Gasko Blues.
      • Changed the science reward from a Sonic Pulse to a Medical Tricorder.
    • Updated Cloak and Dagger:
      • Bridge Officers won't get stuck in the central area of Delta Corvi.
      • Updated some contact windows so they will not pop up while the player is in combat.
    • Landscapers have visited Crateris, and the starting spawn area is flatter than previously.
      • Bridge Officers should no longer be inclined to jump around like people dancing to popular hip hop tunes from the 1990s.
    • Updated Temporal Ambassador to remove an errant reference to a Tholian Recluse.
    • Removed the option to transwarp to Bigger Picture.
    • It's a lot less windy inside the Flotilla now.
    • Updated the Mail and Bank consoles on the Flotilla so that they can be used by more than one player at a time.
    • Updated the map for Virinat so there are no longer black squares all over it.
    • Updated the Romulan space tutorial so that the player's camera is no longer facing the wrong way at the start of it.
    • Romulans who have allied with the KDF can now replay Enemy Action.
    • Updated Enemy Action so that Romulans allied with Starfleet will no longer see text intended for the KDF.
    • Gasko Blues: Bridge Officers will no longer slay the station commander.
      • Players will now have to do their own dirty work if they want him defeated.

    Systems:
    • Mirror Warbirds have been added to existing Lock Boxes!

      • It is now correctly displaying as a Vice Admiral ship.
    • Resolved an issue where Romulan-allegiance Alien characters could no longer select Traits after choosing to ally with Starfleet or the KDF.

        • It may take up to 24-hours to gain access to creating a KDF character.
    • The C-store is disabled.
    • Players on Wine will need to use a workaround in order to play.

Sounds like a lot of bug fixes. It is pleasing to see bug feedback on the forum has been useful. I have a question about a bug I noticed last night. Tovans tactical slot was filled with a Starfleet officer. I refused the Starfleet officer reward and he wasn't in my inventory, but there. Later during the mission "sleepers" I received a call from my ship, it was a Starfleet science officer. Don't know if this has been reported.

I really didn't want to buy into the whole " cryptic hates cruisers" jargon, but with this, I really have no other explanation. After all of this feedback from tribble, and the other 3 years worth of feeback, how have you guys not gotten the message that low turn rate cruisers are not fun to fly? No love for the D'D, and you made the other one just worse overall.

You guys really really do want cruisers to stay in that "sit over in that corner not turning and don't do any damage" box, don't you. We don't need a 15 turn rate or anything but 8 to 10 or else its not only not functional, its just not fun to fly. 5 turn is still just god awful and not worth my money.

So I can't make a Liberated Borg Romulan (either sex), yet I can make a Liberated Borg Human or Klingon? What's up with that? I had the ability to make a male libiborg Romulan before the patch.

Tholian Lock Box has a chance of containing a Mirror Universe Ha'apax Battle Cruiser Warbird
Temporal Lock Box has a chance of containing a Mirror Universe Ha'nom Guardian Warbird
Dominion Lock Box has a chance of containing a Mirror Universe Ha'feh Assault Warbird
Can we please have some general info on those three without having to copy boxes and keys and then hope to win a lottery? At least what warbird types Ha'nom and Ha'feh are and which stations they've got changed?

Also, kind of bummed with Mogai focus being switched from science to engi. I think the Lt.Cmdr. science really fit the ship, while it is the Dhelan which I personally think should be given more of a Engi treatment, not the other way around.

Also, does Fleet Ha'apax Advanced Warbird still come with Cmdr. Science? Cause I see many "multirole" possibilities among all the changes, but no true science-ish vessel of any description.

So I don't recall every getting a Closed Beta invite, yet after wipe/update I can create Romulan toons now.... I know they mentioned Open Beta but was thinking that was later on towards release? Unless I just completely missed it in the notes :o

Great...there goes the Mogai...and who specifically demanded the change on this ship? I dont recall a massive thread for this change...put it back...( i feel like han solo telling chewie to put it all back together right now) personally I ran energy siphon 2 in that slot for my escorts and i rather enjoy that ability. what to use with a ltc engineer...hmm nothing beneficial to the greater good of the team...

I didnt see any note on the massive doff issue either..you know...the one where you are sitting with almost 15k points in science or development and you still are not allowed to progress past tier 0.......

Mirror Ships....not sure on this one....since um...the romulans are supposivly all dead in the mirror universe according to ds9.....

Hard to test cstore stuff when its locked and i think we need to unlock it to test the stuff we should have with only 13 days left to figure out issues and fix em....

Well, lots of nice changes here (customisable initial Boffs, some bug fixing, mirror warbirds, ...).

However - and this is a VERY preliminary first look - it looks like you buffed those warbirds that needed nerfing and nerfed those that if anything could use a little buffing (poor Ha'Apax).

And most importantly: Why do you touch my Mogai?! It was just perfect before, the ship I wanted to have ... :(

    Now let's go testing again.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

Want the new equipment for your newly retransfered toons?

Too bad! Better get to grinding!

It seems the test item vendor on ds9 no longer gives out anything, did you guys move it, glitch it, or simply delete it?

Also, there are only two new hair styles (for rom male only (didn't test female), my fed didn't have them) and they both look like they belong in an anime.

prolly ripped from neverwinter or something.

fyi none of the other hairstyles were updated at all, so it looks really out of place.

Was there a tribble character wipe with this update? I seem to have lost all my characters and it starts me with the option to create a new one.

Its an escort, as it should have been to begin with. It looks like an escort too.

With the -40 power drain, putting a lot in AUX would drain its weapons.
But the 4 Eng consoles will give passive resistence, and the eng abilities will give EPTX abilities that help to overcome this big powerloss.
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

Im not so sure I like the color changed made to the standard Romulan IU, it looks too foresty dark...the grey doesn't look very good either...please look to this for reference:

lighter greens and various greens could be used, even salmon colors for highlighted buttons.

Mirror Ships....not sure on this one....since um...the romulans are supposivly all dead in the mirror universe according to ds9.....

Actually, it's according to DS9 that they are still around. It was thought they were defeated by the TE until that DS9 episode.
