I'd love to know why all of you think that NW players aren't paying. Zen store is open, Astral diamonds are flowing, Founders packs are being sold, and P2W is in full effect on NW beta.
Still, a 3 year old game that people currently sub to VS a game that is still in beta testing. I think STO players have spent a bit more than anyone has within NWO, currently.
That said the game is now up, so I will go play a bit before bed.
imagine the worst cough medicine you have eva had and multiply by a factor of 100, it is some nasty ****, but used to be the shot of choice in the bar at Milford Sound, NZ.....
That sounds rough. Have you ever had Buckly's cough syrup? http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckley%27s That stuff is so awful they even have ads with tag lines like, "Buckly's. It tastes awful, but it works."
Brilliant. Seriously I bet you could solve all the issues for us and so called them (The Developers) that have just installed some so called "Brand Sparking New Hardware" that will lead us on to the Next Century of "Your A Sucker!" profit system..
Ok people you need to stop this thread lol, if you actually read your user agreement it says they don't have to give you anything.
In fact, if they wanted to they can close the servers for good and delete all your toons an just leave a nice "Thanks for playing but were fed up of whiny kids asking for free junk" on the sto website.
So i would be happy that your getting a FREE game to play and just go outside and maybe get some sun or speak to a person in real life, do something other than moan about something that is NEVER going to happen.

it is know for games to make gestures of some kind when the server(s) keep crashing. I've known games to give free sub time if they was offline for more than a day. or even switching on double rewards or just double xp. the later is the only thing I could see sto doing. they would roll out the big chair and Q would buff you for xp. I wouldn't expect any major gestures unless the servers are offline for days after LOR goes live.

Believe me, I'm not excusing it, but you have to understand the idea behind what you just stated:
Spent. They already have our money.
NW is the new shiny, so they want to wring as much cash out of it as they can, too.
I have been compensated, I get to read all the hilarious posts in the threads that have sprung up since the servers went down.
Some of it is comedy gold, if that's not sufficient compensation then I don't know what is :P
Hahaha, quite right. The forums are never more entertaining than when the servers are down and there are a million GIVE ME FREE STUFF BECAUSE I COULDNT PLAY FOR A FEW HOURS threads. Whiny self-entitled kids throwing their toys out of the pram because their favourite game is having server issues. Brilliant.
It depends, a monthly subscription payer is having their paid for time removed by this so THOSE people should get something like maybe an extra day on their subs but only when it happens frequently and for long periods.
The rest? Well technically I have a lifer sub but games break, servers go down, meh I'll just do something else for a bit...oh hey the sun is shinning, and a cool breeze, *dons sun hat* ciao!
Explain to me why an indie developer can do both but PWE cannot. Not sure? It's because PWE simply doesn't want to. Nothing more or less. That ultimatum is a fallacy.
TRIBBLE like this reminds me of my time in the Military. Trying to fix a radar or weapons system that went down, and having people that know nothing about it asking what is wrong every 2 seconds. First they have to figure out what went wrong and then they have to fix it. Maybe what went wrong is just too complicated to explain in a few lines and they don't have the time to write it all out. Let them work, and if in the end you decide to stop giving them money, please do so quietly. We don't all need to know how much you spend on the game.

When ever a major would wander up to me and ask me what I was doing, I would say "the rotator coupling on this flux capacitor is no good, and Im waiting on a hyper spanner link to fix it." Usually made them go away.
Btw servers are up.

this is April 2010 all over again. Can we get something like we did for surviving pre season 1 problems namely constant server problems such as lag, disconnectes, rubber banding. I have my Shaka emote and badge because of that event this feels real similar to me.
Sorry to our friends in Europe. I tripped over the power cord. I plugged it back in but nothing is happening. Help?
Did you remember to turn the switch at the socket on? You would not believe how often that is the cause of a none working piece of tech
However on a serious note given the time difference we do tend to get hit a bit more with these things and the maintanence shut downs are in the afternoon to us, but hey ho that's the way it goes.

This is the last thing I will post.
