Embarrassment is the Cryptic tech who downloaded the virus that the thought was that latest Jesse Jane porno, taking down the server farm

I'm just throwing this out now, that TRIBBLE has also come up...

It'd be nice if Cryptic could not share servers between games. This just seems so unprofessional to have your whole system designed to crash everything at the same time. Proverb about all your eggs in the same basket comes to mind.

Actually, what it means is they have all their servers in the same farm. It has nothing to do with professional. There just isn't anything that can be done otherwise. You have to have the servers in a centralized locations.

guess somebody has to wake up the guys in india. BTW servers (especially the microsoft ones) are quite expensive. IF I had to pay I'd share too, but then I would never run a MS server. RedHat

"We've replaced Scotty's Dilithium Crystals with Folger's Crystals... let's see if he notices."
"Susse-thrai" had been the name bestowed upon her, half in anger, half in affection, by her old crew on Bloodwing; the keen-nosed, cranky, wily old she-beast, never less dangerous than when you thought her defenseless, and always growing new teeth far back in her throat to replace the old ones broken in biting out the last foe's heart.

Well this certainly sucks... me thinks a large majority of the hamsters cryptic/PWI uses to run the servers decided to kick the bucket or go on a very long coffee break >.>

Ha ha ha thats a good one, made me laugh. :P Keep hanging guys and check the server status link provided once in a while, and cross your fingers.

Uh huh... I guess I must have been playing some other game named WoW then.

There were very few servers at launch of WoW that didn't have downtime, VERY few. And if you happened to be one of those servers, consider yourself lucky. One particular server literally had all players refunded a full month game time because it was down for more than 2 straight weeks. This is all common knowledge to people were were actually there for the launch of WoW back in 04, myself included.

Somehow I don't think Cryptic or PWE has ever heard of Scotty or macguver. LOL.
Otherwise they may not have these issues.

Maybe the A-team can build them a new Server out of a Rubber, An Elastic band & a Pencil that will work better than there current server. LOL.

Interesting that the perfectword site says the server is online while no one can connect,
and mmoserverstatus says that everything except for the "Error Check Server" is offline.

Gee, and I was just realizing that my Tholian Orb Weaver pretty much sucks when the server blew. I thought trying to web a tactical cube had blown the server with the sheer awesome.
