Oh no...someone has stolen the illudium q-36 explosive space modulator!!!!!!

And apparently planted it in the PWE servers.
"Susse-thrai" had been the name bestowed upon her, half in anger, half in affection, by her old crew on Bloodwing; the keen-nosed, cranky, wily old she-beast, never less dangerous than when you thought her defenseless, and always growing new teeth far back in her throat to replace the old ones broken in biting out the last foe's heart.
Romulans: left one homeworld, lost another, third time's the charm?

    You know what?

I think it's a good thing that the server crashed (and not because it forces me to stop procrastinating on work).

This way, the servers actually get the attention they have needed for the past couple days (server lag, disconnects galore).

Keep telling yourself this and one day it might actually be true... Power of positive thinking.

I am an optimist. I am completely optimistic that nothing will be learned from this and such BS will continue to happen regularly...

a weeks worth of holodeck issues from crashes, to latency, to patching the same week Neverwinter goes to open beta. Coincidence? Doubt it.

    Oh, god help us.

Maybe if they like, I don't know, separated NW and STO servers? Or maybe that's what they're doing?

Or perhaps they're all over on FB laughing hysterically for us for thinking they'd post on the official forums instead of Facebook, or at least before they posted on Facebook.

    Facebook is evil, Cryptic.

    Wait...

    This explains EVERYTHING!

Why not just put Neverwinter inside of STO and have the players access it via the holodecks from the academies or the starbases? It would give some use to our lifeless holodecks.

well this proves that sto and neverwinter is using the the same login servers. as D&D went down exactly at the same time and gives exactly the same error.

It'd be nice if Cryptic could not share servers between games. This just seems so unprofessional to have your whole system designed to crash everything at the same time. Proverb about all your eggs in the same basket comes to mind.

Now we just need the forums to go down so we can all be completely in the dark about this...
Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

    STO: Into Darkness

Don't worry folk, it's just a promo for the new movie.

There were reports of STFs acting flaky all day. Maybe the 6pm PST fleet event triggered something larger.

This is as regular as clockwork. Lost count of how many times the servers fail on the same day they applied a patch...

Ummm... My "straw man" was presented in the form of a question, sooo... Not really seeing that as a fallacy... I'm sure someone could, but I'm going to be dismissive to that... As for ad hominem, I'll just call you a tard monger and be done with it...

Based on what I can tell from looking at various public internet records, startrekonline.com is hosted on the same network as crypticstudios.com, which is down. However, perfectworld.com is still up (otherwise we wouldn't be able to use this forum).

Gotta go back to a thing called "real life." :(

See the problem with "real life" is it often sucks.
Speaking of dead servers, I guess I will go play dead island like I should have done in the first place.
