Well, when I stated it was trying to patch, it was actually the engage button, so I am now in the game. It's takes about 15-20 minutes but if you let it sit there and load, it will eventually allow you to log in. If you see the patch button sitting there for awhile, it's actually the engage button.
Ok not to get trolled but this seems like a case of no one seemed to care to bother to think that:
"Hmmm open beta of neverwinter something that people might just be interested in... Lets take care of the server so that our other games won't suffer or so we won't have problems on launch day.."
But wait that makes too much sense.. So I'll just go ahead and ask this question..is this what i'm should expect on LoR day? because if so i'll hold out on giving you my money for my Legacy Pack....I don't want to wait a day or a week or so before being able to log in and use it......
Thanks and right when i thought you guys were on the right track.. -.-
~ A frustrated beta tester who really wanted to get on tribble -.-
The bolded part is so true. Have to wonder why they do not seem to ever consider that this would of happen. This is why dedicated launchers is a good idea, and not one shared across several games...
In a few shorts weeks, there is going to be a huge rush on the server.
Everyone and their dog, cat, aunt and uncle is going to want to play LoR.
Today, the launcher is running like someone whose legs have been unexpectedly amputated, because the log in server is experiencing more load than usual because of the NWN launch.
Please cryptic, please put some effort into considering wholly predictable rushes on your systems.
Its totally predictable that there'd be a lot of people trying to play NWN today. If there wasnt then something would have gone horribly wrong.
Its also totally predictable that on LoR day your entire player base is going to want to log on, patch up and trot out their first holodeck romulan.
Please dont get taken by surprise on that one too......
The team is continuing to work on this issue -- it's affecting all Cryptic launchers, and we hope to have it resolved ASAP. Thanks for your patience and we'll get you back in-game ASAP.

All well and good Bran, but we are now very worried about what will happen when LoR launches. If the same thing should happen then, I think you should look at dedicated stand alone launchers for your games, since the current one seem to be a cross game launcher, so when one launcher gets problems, the rest will most certainly follow suit...
Hmmm all Cryptic launchers eh? Why am I not surprised. Because we don't prepare for the obvious... How about we all learn from this and expect about twice as much for LoR... How about we get dedicated account servers and launcher's for each individual game. Since now i think it should be more than obvious that running them on the same plane just isn't going to work anymore....
But wait that makes too much sense...
Once again for everything good you have one major facepalm moment -.-

I was just about to post the same question. I shudder to think.
That's what happened to me anyway.
you all should be working! Or in School! .. Is school out? I really have no idea lmao.
Hope its up and running... 5 hours from now.
Your Javelin deals 125417 (89066) Disruptor Damage(Critical) to Tholian Recluse. > lol

Though, I do have a huge problem with the game crashing. Usually happens 1-2 times a day... and I can't run the game outside of admin mode.
"Working as intended"... 1 year later they "fix" it.

they blocked all games for a open beta and you ask for predictions? lol
I say they should upgrade that dial up modem...you cant keep few mmos running on a (thats 1) dial up connection
