Official, Romulans Can Pilot Ally Ships......

.....However Federation/KDF cannot pilot Romulan ships. :rolleyes:

    Of course Id like to see them limited to Romulan ships and the Defiant (available to all factions please so we can get some equality)

    Romulans can only pilot special lockbox ships from their ally and fleet ships.

    this means you aren't going to be seeing Romulans leveling up with federation ships.

    so stop crying you babies

    Romulans have access to other factions fleet ships as well!??!! SHAME ON YOU. :mad:

    It makes sense. More stuff getting purchased just like romulan lockboxes for feds and klings.

    But yeah sure pretending the decisions have anything to do with story is laughable

    I must have around $300.00 worth of C-Store ships. The fact that I can choose to use them with my Rom seems like a good deal to me - and makes those purchases seem like a lot less waste of money. :)
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    Pssst - as a Romulan character you're not forced to fly a Fed/KDF ship. If you don't want to as a Romulan, then don't.

    Even WITH all those Romulan toys rom ships are junk. It's a constant across all trek games ever made.

    Unless Cryptic reboots canon and makes plasma torps more efficient and as fast as everyone elses torps. Some of us have been laughing at Romulan ships since the dawn of computer gaming, cryptic is in no position to change history, or canon.

    I think it's great, I can delete my Fed characters without losing out on the ships I like. That cloak trait Romulans will have... would go well with a Fleet Defiant. :D

    It's fine.

    It is not what i would have done, but who cares what another player does with their gameplay. its not like we have no all been flying galors and jem'hadar ships around for a while is it?

    its not like you wont be seeing and teaming with feds and kdf anyway, so how will you even know 99% of the time who is flying what.

    it also fits the story of them acquiring tech to rebuild, and is even canon in some instances.

    if people dont like it, then no one will fly these ships and there wont be a problem. if they do want to fly these ships then it would seem to be a clever move.

    The alternative is yet another starbase grind for Rom fleet ships. Pick your poison. I for one prefer it this way (and welcome our new Romulan overlords).

    How else will Romulans get access to the dev-favored ship? The Fleet Excelsior? Duh!

    Well it give those that want to fly their Fed or KDF ship able to. But I for one have stay true to my Fed characters. I fly only fed ships, and I intend to fly Romulan ships for that toon and nothing more.

    I assume I will just be buying some C-Store Rom ships at some point. :)

    Wait, Cryptic is letting you play with ships that YOU'VE BOUGHT WITH YOUR MONEY on another character and you are saying they're trying to take your money? What kind of logic are some of you playing at....

    This is a great decision for the players and is perfectly understandable with current lore.

    Mmm stahl did say somewhere that there would be a Romulan Lockbox somewhere down the line. Don't worry non-Romulan fed players, you will get your D'deridex eventually.

    I seem to recall the Romulans using Klingon battlecruisers, so shouldn't they be able to Oh I don't know get some.

    Yeah Cryptic, shame on you for adding loads of stuff that doesn't detract in any way from people's ability to play existing factions as normal!

    I hope you're feeling actual shame now! In fact, I hope it eats you up inside just like it eats away at people who feel shame for committing actual murders and stuff!

    I, for one, fear change and hope that all this cool new content we're being promised is just an april fool's trick gone awry!

    So long as Romulan cstore ships are able to be used my federation and KDF, I would have no problem with it...

    Also, I'm glad that others get the chance to fly FED/KDF ships on their Romulan character - I for one am only interested in captaining the D'deridex and maybe the TOS bird of prey. If I want to fly my FED/KDF C-store ships I'll just log on to my FED/KDF toons period. I really don't have a problem with it, but his argument really sickens me... you can buy bloody timeships from ferengi smugglers in this game!!! TIMESHIPS!!! Yet Romulans loaning/sharing command of their vessels with their newfound allies is bordering the unimaginable. Seriously?...

    Like the Feddies and Klingies before them the Epohh tagging Rommies need to fly a JHAS anyways. It's the only logical choice.

    You didn't assume it included Fleet ships when they first told us they'd have access to ally faction ships?

    No, I had hoped it was just the T1-T4 ships. This....... is stupid.
