    Mr know it all here folks. dont need 3 brels at all, all u need is a breen cluster crit and you are dead......anyone is dead. they crit at 90k every time. romm boffs, tach converter zero point, TRIBBLE mod and you have base 13% crit chance. use tac buffs and u will crit ALOT. so please take yur nose turning somewhere else, maybe you just bumped into a brel noob.

    To the op. try this. breen 2 piece will boost transphasics alot including the cluster.....get it.

    i use the breen 2 piece and fleet elite axion deflector. 2 breens, hargh, regular mkxii tranny up front. tric mines in the rear to troll spawn reset (especially handy when fedscrubs think its fun to camp outnumbered klinks).

    key to the torp boat: release cluster bombs within 1km of target....immediately tractor if omega is down and whatch half theyre health pop or with a crit, obliterate them.

    you should never fire youre breens from a distance, they are slow and easily shot down. basicly you are widdling youre target down until u get that nice breen crit!

    gl and if you have any questions, ask me ill check the thread from time to time.

    oh and equip an ams to really TRIBBLE them off. leech console dosent really work with torps.

    oh that reminds me...u dont need weapon power with all torps. put power in aux (for better stealth) and engines.

    90k is a far exaggeration for a cluster if it comes to pvp a avrg hit is 15-20k for BoP and 25k for fed escorts through shield . In pve on gates 110k + but who care about pve ;) especially if your KDF

    There is a lot of BS in this thread already lets not start a train.

    You can go 3 builds for torp bombers

    1. old school. ( decloak BO, psw, quantum ( use to be tric before the nerf) Pop
    2. ALL Trans, I found using fed escort work 100% better than BoP with this.
    3.Plasma burn. ( decloak, Jam sensor, boarding party, SNB,burn baby.) = I win in 1v1


    ;and if you fight a trans build in a BoP just bend over because if you try to cloak get rdy to take multi trans torp (13k+) even with a kin console 6k and there are 3 other on the way. Trans eat BoP, decloak to save yourself and still getting hit for 3-4K.

    Trans build shouldn't even be called torp bombers. Its should be called I sh%^ death from my behind. Dpb3 6k x16 = 96k 80% bleed though = 76k if you can build it right.

    Yes, because obviously having a maked Starship Projectile Weapons Specialization and lucky strike is OBVIOUSLY A HACK.

    Really? Then why the sam hell does my Odyssey Tactical cruiser has 57,704 hull HP and 10,544 shield HP, and why I have been hit for well over 200k damage from those damn Borg Invisi-torps?

    Correct, it is a hack, because it's impossible.

    I would love to see a pic of even a single mine dealing 35k damage.

    Purpose built torpedo ships (usually Quantums, but Tricos can be used) flown by Tactical officers packing 4 or 5 Torpedo consoles, the 2-piece KHG/Adapted MACO set bonus, 3x Superior Romulan Operative Boffs and Tachyokinetic/Borg consoles with all buffs running and at least [CritD]x2 weapons can easily hit in that range.

    Spending 5 hours on youtube yesterday watching torpedo boat videos for escorts, and bops. not one had anything beyond a 7k crit.

    Then you're looking at people flying terrible setups. Any torpedo boat (hybrid or pure) worth it's name is going to have a base projectile damage near or above the 7k level.

    Unbuffed (IE: just autoattack) I'm easily hitting for 13-15k on crits.

    Here's some simple maths for you:

    A 5k base torpedo (for the sake of simplicity, my base photon damage is 5.5k) with all tactical buffs + APOIII running will have a bonus damage value of 165% (60 from APA, 50 from GDF, 25 from APO, 30 from TFII), a 285% crit multiplier with at least CritD x2 torps (50% base severity, 15% from 3x Superior Rommie operative, 9% from Borg console, 8% from Tachyokinetic console, 25% from Projectile Weapon specialization, 40% from APA and 40% from CritD x2) and an enemy resist debuff of 30% (FOMM).

    Tally all that up, and you get a median damage value of just under 50k (49.1k if you must be specific). Damage variance will vary that by about 5-10k depending on your luck with the RNG, and any additional targeted debfufs (APB, Sensor Scans, additional FOMMs, disruptor breach, etc.) will push the number even further into the stratosphere.

    Swap to a higher base damage torpedo, and add additional consoles and you can easily see how 80-100k numbers are easily attainable.

    Thebest hits I have seen from trics are when you use Dispersal Pattern Beta III where each mine hits 35k damage (35k X 4)

    According to the sto wiki, if im understanding it right, mark 12 tricobalt torps have a base damage of 14300 per hit.

    I've never been big on pvp since im terrible at it, but i know for a fact that plently of cruisers get over 50k hp, heck, my escort has 40k, so im not doubting with the right build that its possible to crit 80k or so, then again, its possible those who have had it happened experienced a glitch i suppose.

    As a side note, tazurensavulen, thats an awesome loadout your ship has, though i dont recognize the eneregy color of your weapons, mind if i ask what they are?

    they would most likely be phased polarons, since he's using polaron phase modulators, so i know they deal polaron damage but the icon of the beam arrays doesn't match that of a plain polaron beam array

    8x Phased Polaron Beam Arrays [Acc] [Dmg] with 3x Rare Mk XII Polaron Phase Modulators, I have gotten crits of 20k+.
