Dear Devs: Romulans are OP, nerf romulans!

Little heads up! Feel free to add all the QQ once it becomes relevant so that we can keep contructive feedback in one place.

reason why rommies are OP:
1) They have more style, please introduce mandatory design classes at starfleet academy

2) green>blue

3) They make wheeeee sounds, instead of targ grunts

    The QQers are already in full force in that other thread. :D

    We can't even enjoy the thought of this faction without moaning over power creep. I wonder why they even bother playing this game in the first place. :P

    That ship has long since sailed. Power creep is now a part of the game and will increase with each iteration of content that Cryptic releases.

    I even heard rumors that some eng cruiser scored a kill. I mean if that is proof of hax, what else could it be

    2) Romulans have stolen the KDF uniqueness of cloaking.

    3) Romulans are not even available and they are already getting more Dev attention than the KDF!!!!!!!

    To think, what little attention the KDF are getting out of this is only made possible because of "splash" attention - that "splash" from the attention the Romulans are getting.

    The KDF got attention, they have to start from L1 instead of L20.

    1) Romulans have their own main webpage.

    2) Romulans have a nice girl with a D'Deridex, not a tripping elvish T'Bossom.

    3) Romulans have nicer ships.

    Well, at least KDF can go from 1-50 now. ;) And your first toon can be KDF.
    TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
    Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

    Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

    Great thread mocking the groaning and whining already taking place in some corners of the forum. I was LoL at number 3 : Wheee!. I've waited since beta for a Romy faction and I'll take it happily, bugs and all ! There is only one, true, Empire in this galaxy and it doesn't like targs...:) Mnhei'sahe !

    Funniest thing about this thread...is how it reads like the folks defending the way Elite Fleet Shields worked, the chain critting Tric Mines, the calculations for Particle Gens being off for TBR...

    ...heck, any of the my cheese is fine don't touch it threads...

    ...hrmmm, kind of takes the mocking the other way, eh? :)

    Aft: Sweat Sorrow
    Consoles: Too Many
    Boffs: Nemesis
    Doffs: Cruel

    Special Bonus: "terminate now" button. (Visual effects include like a gazillion cannons unfolding from every nook-and-cranny of the ship, a ram-horn sound signalling the four-riders to the apocalypse, and the involuntarily muscle relaxation of your target's warp core)

    This is an average, run-of-the-mill Romulan build. Nothing special really. One of my healer, engineer cruisers builds I dug up honestly. You should see my TAC.

    My OP Rommy Raider:

    Enhanced Phased Cloak. Like the Karfi console (untargetable) melded w/EBC can shoot guns and torps!.

    25 Sci, 42 Tac and 1 Eng (ya know for balance;)) consoles

    Commander, Ltc Commander, Ltc Commander, Lt Boff.

    8 Device Slots

    42 base Turn, 200 base inertia.

    10 Forward Weapon Mount Points, 2 Rear

    Sensor Analysis, Tssx3 built in.

    15.75 shield modifier that stays up while in EPC mode.

    500k hull. (EPC aside better to be safe than sorry).

    Perma green EWP console that doesn't shut down EPC.

    Charles X Psionic Boosting Console (kills all enemy crew on map).

    Super Transporter Console, bypasses shields allowing you to transport captain into space. The players ship turns into the captain who then dies of exposure (unless Undine then you still have to shoot them before they board you and take over your Charles X Psionic Boosting Console).

    Romulan ships will all come with a new energy type: Thalaron Weaponry..

    Thalaron Energy weapons will have a Proc chance 2.5% Kill all crew and reduce healing by 25%
    Thalaron High Yield Torpeodes will always kill all crew.
    Thalaron Mines will always kill all crew.

    Hrmmm, wonder if KDF will get Kill10 Rom missions. It will play out like glitching to get the Kill10 KDF.

    Fly around a juicy Fed target, wait for the Rom to decloak, and then drop the boom...

    Yeah, but now the Klingons are going to be crying along side the Feds. Or, the Romulans will.

    Speaking of the Borg in Ker'rat... it is funny to drop a high Grav low Part GW on a group of Probes and then fly off. They'll get pulled in without getting killed. When that GW wears off - those Probes shoot out of there after you like they've popped APO, AtD, EM, EPtE, an Eng Batt, etc... those Probes zoom zoom!
