Any chance the Catian Atrox and the Vulcan D'Kyr to get a similar trio treatment, with a console and unique bridge. Those two ships have long been missing a unique bridge layout, and you could easily make the Atrox the Engineer V. and the D'Kyr the Science version of they're own trios of ships.
If you do this there should be multiple packages available in the store, one for 3500 pts for the two new ships, 2500 pts for individual ships, or 5000 for the set for those who don't have one yet.
i just read like 4 bug reports in the forums about these ships and a developer commented on them. bottom line is that these ships are easily killed if you stay away from its 45 degree front arc. sounds like these new ships are squishy. i thought they were going to be better then the vista ships but i guess i was wrong.
Haven't got one myself, but apparently, shields are not showing the full amount, heals are not healing for the correct ammount, wing cannons are not discardable, bad placement of the dual beam bank firing point (fires through the hull if the target is below you, a la Galaxy X firing throught the saucer), and the wing cannon consoles trigger global cool down on the cannon abilities that your boffs have. Apparently that last one might not be a bug, but I don't think anyones sure yet.
Was actually excited about these but now...Waiting to purchase until after the bug fixes....
Broke Shield Healing?
Broke Shield Values?
Possible Issues with the consoles and tac abilities.

WOW. Those SCREAM of avoiding purchase to me. Too bad, I was looking forward to picking it up after work.
Vesta, guys..... Vesta. "Vista" is a completely different word, lol.
Anyways, why is this surprising in the slightest? They are escorts, and they seem to be built specifically for using Dual Cannons. Weapons which are known to have very narrow firing arcs.
I'd imagine if people were smarter in their weapon loadouts, this wouldn't be a problem.
It's not even that they Vest is better than the Kumari, or vice-versa. They are completely different kinds of ships, and both seem to excel at what they are designed for.
The bug is that healing skills are not healing as much as they should in this ship.

Escorts are supposed to be squishy. The problem is these ships have released with Hazard Emitter, EpTS and global cooldown bugs (among other issues).
Check out the bug forum for more info.

For someone without one, you stated this ship's bugs with 100% accuracy.
I also bought this and the numbers match exactly to my patrol escort but the shields collapse around 3x as fast, not what i paid for, hopefully this bug won't last too long.
Everybody can relax, I found the "new ship". Needs some suspension work and shocks. Brakes, brake pads, lining, steering box, transmission, rear-end.
How much?
About $20
Also new rings, mufflers, a little wiring.
On a lighter note, the fluffy dice still work

I know these are bugs, and therefore should be fixed. I won't argue with that.
That this is the way the ships -should- have been designed to be (the lack of ability to take damage and heal), however, I will wish would have been intentional. That is, after all, what a Glass Cannon ship is supposed to be, not a ship that should be trying to sustain damage. That is the job of Cruisers, and the point of having a Cruiser in a mission with you.
But, as we can see by the number of people who are commenting that their Andorian Escorts should tank too, I know expecting this to actually ever be implemented is whistling in the wind.
In news today ESD was set on fire thousands dead. Andorians to recall ships.
In other news, Andorians announce plans to send recalled ships to QA for further review.
In other, other news, everyone who purchased an Andorian ship collectively wondered where QA was before the ships release?
And finally, in other, other, OTHER news, Andoria released the names of the QA panel who will be investigating recent issues with their newest ship product line. The QA team is headed by Bigfoot, with Nessie, the Easter Bunny, and the Chubacabra as associate members.
That's too bad, I'll probably go ahead and wait to see if the bugs are fixed before I get them then. I guess the Andorians are having a pay to beta test .
As much as I like Star Trek Online, I find it shameful just how bad Cryptic's QA team is. I remember last year (and the year before that) where you was apologizing for "another bad release" and insisting you were working on improving the way you did things... It doesn't appear to me that have.
I know you guys really want to maintain your aggressive release schedule, and that's normally admirable, but not at the expense of basic quality. Seriously... How could you release a ship with these kind of bugs? Didn't anyone familiar with how the game works actually load the ship with crew and gear, and play with it? Take it for a test drive? Kick the tires, lift the hood, look at the tooltips, and stats? These bugs seemed pretty obvious and a fix was found in no time, it's not like it was some kind of deeply hidden problem.
Dan, you keep talking about how much bigger the team has got. Maybe it's time you get PW to invest in an experienced Chief Systems Analyst for their new Best Performer Game. Someone with a gaming background and leadership skills who can develop, train, and manage a proper QC Department. Give this person the time to test each build and, most importantly, the authority to stop it from rolling out.
At the very least, if you just can't stop the release, a warning "Known Issues" list and expected fix date should accompany the shotty work.
I work in IT and am responsible for running a lab, testing both software and hardware before it gets to the field. I would have been fired long ago if I allowed these kind of mistakes to repeatedly make it to production.
I can't believe you keep letting it happen Dan. I'm very disappointed.
So sad. Just so sad.
You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.
I've been flying my new Andorian ship around New Romulus systems, doing a lot of PVE...and I have not had any trouble with my ship. I don't have any bugs.
What I DO have is a ton of BOOM BOOM BOOM on the baddies.
Comments
I know the answer to that one....hence my "shame on me" line.
Yup, shame on myself too. Should know better by now that nothing they release has any form of basic QA other than "Can the chimp mash the keyboard?"

Care to elaborate on the bugs?

Andorian ships are better than VEsta in terms of firepower output especially in a massive alpha strike.
Andorian ships are not as good as VEsta at mitigating incoming return fire.

yes they are squishy but their firepower is immense.
