    Wouldn't that tell you it might have something to do with the server going down? As in they may have reset the server.

    first got it when trying to change map on a mission, so i re-logged and now i cant even get ingame. Server issue ur my client is bugged?



    EDIT delete.. for soem reason the other thread didnt shpow up for me for a while... until i posted

    same here, unluckily I'm stuck in a foundry

    Ditto. Was in DS9 space, trying to land. Switched toons and go the same thing. Restarted the game, and again the same thing. This is in addition to two other issues STO folks have yet to help me resolve.

    It started with this message ingame when i tried to warp from one sector block to another. Then I logged out and it would not allow me to log back in saying the same message.

    Obviously this is a somewhat widespread issue judging by the additional posts.

    I was in game and could not leave an STF map because of this error, tried relogging and getting the same on all toons

    i was playing fine. now when i log in with any character it gives me a message saying: couldnt get map names from map manager.

      Maybe the devs are trying to force us all out of the game for some quiet time.

      Yep, looks like an issue with the map manager.
      Laws of thermodynamics as applied to life: 0 - You must play the game. 1 - You can't win. 2 - You can't break even. 3 - You can't quit.

      I don't have the login problem.

      For the past hour I can get beyond the character selection screen as the 'Couldn't get map names from map manager' error.

      Does anyone know a a solution?

      Just got that error leaving Kerrat. Then got booted to the log in screen. Can't restart STO. :(
      My Romulan Liberated Borg character made it to Level 30 and beat the (old) Defense of New Romulus with the skill point bug. :D

      That's not how they do it.

      I'm having the same issue as well. Probably something to do with the bold red text up above.
      Number one on my wishlist: New FED transporter effect

      At least it's just not me...good they are fixing bugs...bad it was unnanouced but at least they are working on it :)

      COME ON GUYS QUIT TRIBBLE with the game and HOT patching wait for the update time. ran infected just before then ran a KA and now i got the same message and i cant get back into the game at all

      who pulled the plug.. -.- this just caused yet another issue for me my last free character slot dissapeared after i tried loading in with the previous one i was working on..... why is it when they 'fix' something they break something else which causes even more hassle... i say its time to take down the server for a month or so and fix things properly -.-
