    Has STO gone down again? My fleet has slowly been loosing players over time tonight and now as my fleet team was about to go into a fleet defence wilst the marks event was on i was kicked and cant get the launcher up again like monday? can anyone shed some light on this matter and let us know if you have had the same issue. Many thanks

    Not only is the game down for me but the website as well. Someone kicked out the really important plugs.

    Seems like it might be something on Cryptic's end? Can't get to their website, something with the patcher being down when I try to start it. There's an old thread started in 2007 talking about the same issue. My friend is in game and isn't having any issues, so it's just an initialization problem.

    Pure speculation on my part though.

    I think theres still an issue with mondays STO launcher problem as ive been loosing fleet members to this all night and all im getting is Connection problem come up when im trying to log in? Ive been trying for well over 20 minutes and still no joy.:( Everything was running perfect intill it did this?

    Hello Captain! Please read this new notice, which is different from yesterday.

    We are working with our external routing provider to run a few tests on the launcher so we can try to determine the cause for the outage yesterday -- this may cause some players to have an issue appear with the launcher, but please stand by. We hope to complete our testing ASAP -- it is our top priority. These tests will help us in implementing a resolution so we can avoid the issue from yesterday in the future. Again, not all players are affected, but if you are, please read this post.

    Thanks you and we hope to have you back in-game ASAP.

    which actually is just an excuse for Cryptic not doing anything until the problem goes away by itself.

    That's how it started for me, and when I rebooted the game to try to get back in, it wouldn't let me in.

    Well on a positive note, at least it crashed after the Fleet Event. :rolleyes:

    I was just finishing a Starbase Defense, when the chat suddenly didn't work. Then i couldn't leave the map. I wanted to change character and then i got thrown out...

    I am curious with what excuse cryptic comes up this time, lol.

    That post by Brandon is about the launcher. Everyone ALREADY IN GAME has just gotten hosed as well, however.

    Apparently, and this is from Branflakes himself as I tweeted him. Startrekonline dotcom is tied to the game, so if you cannot get ingame then you wont be able to get to the site on that link as well.

    same here I can log in but not access the game getting this error, never had an issue before.

    I'm one of the lucky ones who's still in game, and none of my chats are working, nor can I beam/warp out of the map I'm in, even for a mission qeue.

    Yep, stuck in ISE after it finished. Think I got the rewards though. Chat server was down and couldn't change maps, but the other players were still flying around.

    Just crashed out, kept on getting

    [Admin] Couldn't get map names from map manager



    and all chat was down and now doing the same thing as yesterday with the 2 stupid boxesin regards to the patch server
