True enought but this is long even for sto, only time i seen it take this long is for season releases, which we know isnt happening, must be something major wrong some where, it would be nice though it they take 5 minutes and say hey we have grimlins in the server where trying to get those buggers out ,lol or what ever is wrong some brief explanation, would be nice .
Well... they've announced the Vesta - and much like the 1000-day ship, why announce it if you can't sell it? Strike whilst the iron's hot and all that...
does seem like some one had an "oops" moment and messed something eles up i was so bored i actually made 1200 zen doing freebies hoping to kill time just to find out its gonna be down atleast 2 more hrs.......
Could the good folks at criptic once in awhile consider doing these while the euro's sleep as opposed to during the day time? I mean just once in a blue moon would be fantastic.
Other than that i'am not worried about the odd extended downtime, and i dont expect season 7 since it hasnt even had time to air on tribble yet.
Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, we've needed to extend our maintenance timeframe. The new ETA for the servers being back up is 12PM/ noon PDT.
Sure wish you guys were in the Eastern time zone. Then I could subtract 1hr instead of adding 2. Wonder who'll be up first, STO or Blizzard w/ their logon server 'busy' issue.
Come on people!!! I'm trying to avoid doing homework, and both my games being down isn't helping!
Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.
Maybe they're ninja patching the switch character feature early, but it's not Christmas yet. We can only hope.
omg ya know what from all the canges and stuff this feature is the one that most people are looking forward too lol, its funny something so simple makes so many happy lol
They have already said that a Season 7 Test weekend is coming..
They won't put it to Holodeck before that.

Season 7 is not launching today. We have not even had our Tribble Test Weekend yet As I mentioned previously in the thread, the extended downtime is due to technical difficulties. It includes Champions Online, too, as you can see on their page: http://co.perfectworld.com/
Ground STFs have gotten MUCH harder since their patch a couple weeks ago. I haven't seen the Infected ground optional since. I planned my workday around being HOME AND DONE when the patch was up today. Now it is extended, and I can what, look at TRIBBLE for the extra three hours? How many times can I sit and talk to the wife or walk the dog or eat Halloween candy from the kid last night? Hell, I would appreciate (as I have said for years now,) 24 hour notice of the patch time and length. That's pretty fair, and hardly unreasonable. If the patches are to fix issues in the game, then they are to HELP us. Why then are the STFS so much HARDER now? I still need my 12 sets completed along with the accolades.
Here's an idea...Since I know a LOT of us are sitting on a LOT of dilithium ore we can't refine (I make more than 9 or 10K a day on my toon) because it stacks up when u play the game right every day, how about an amnesty day? Like the local library when they waive all fines if you return the book you owe on that day, can't they have a day like that once in awhile on STO to bang out all that dilithium orewithout hitting the cap? Not EVERY day, not even once a month...How about once every three months, you give 48 hours to flip it into a USABLE currency and not unrefined...Or maybe you would make it so that the ore is acceptable in fleet contributions towards the starbase or upcoming embassy. It won't COST anything, so PWE hasn't thought about it because they are about making a profit...But it would HELP a LOT players like me and do a LOT towards goodwill. I don't like feeling I have to contribute to their money-machine whenever something new comes out. I have put in my time, more than enough money, and effort over the years. A reasonable response to why this idea won;t happen would be nice, unless of course it makes too much sense and you decide to implement it. I am sure that we ALL would like to know why.
so it's 4 hours this time ? , why the increase compaired to the last few patches ?
actually... looking like 6 hours now... which does look a lot like a new season coming out... and yes I know they have said that is not happening at this time, but they said that about season 6 as well...
A few KDF toons and you can be rolling in dilth, contraband, resources, and TRIBBLE to sell or discard for ec. On my avg KDF toon I can get 10k dilth per day with just a hour total time invested doffing. It's actually disgusting how much dilth you can get rolling KDF - funny you never hear many KDF players whine about getting dilth.
No you just hear us complain about a lack of new KDF content and ships... complaints that are still falling on deaf ears...
