With all due respect, u seem to be the bigest part of the problem. u and ppl like u. want more for free. yes i paid for it, but i have a lot of friends and family that play and dont pay for it and dont convert dil. They do just fine without zen purchases. lol. u expect way to much for a free game. so i feel u r a main part of the problem. if u r gonna just complain, then y be on here? just uninstall the game and go on with ur life. no need to be a child and call names on the forum. lol.

480 unrefined dilithium for each mission (Based on http://www.stowiki.org/Daily):

Rescue Deferi captives (Breen series, Deferi Sector Block)
    History 102 (FED)/Learning the Lore(KDF)
    Emancipation (Deferi Sector Block)
    Satellite Repair
    Sh?mar ? Distress Signal
    Defense Contract
Total of 2880. Assigned as A variable

1440 unrefined dilithium for each mission:

Chart the B?tran Cluster (This is a Vice Admiral daily)
Explore Strange New Worlds (Best to do this with the one above)
    Aiding the Deferi
Salvage Dispute (only if you collect and keep the computer core fragments from ?Defense Contract?, requires 10)....now compare that to the kdf 3 dailiy defense missons at 1440 each, and the kdf sota missons all 5 on repeatble 30 min timers...and wht do you have a whats that a UNBALANCED GAME OH MY GOD REALLY ...yes you are as stupid as you sound go play with yourself now as i said your not helping people like you little sheep who lay down and agree with everything for the sake of the game are the problem you ignornt little newb.

...its not free [Redacted]...you either buy zen or convert dilithium...makeing this not free... [Redacted]

You have two options to advance in STO, you either can pay out money or you can invest time. The choice is up to you, there is nothing that forces you to pay out money, nor do you need dilithium to advance a character. It is useful in obtaining high end gear, but you don't have to have it. As for the STFs, Cryptic listened to our feedback and the new rewards will be 480/960. On elite you gain one Borg Neural Processor per run. Turning in 5 of these you get 1000 dilithium. So rewards for elite runs are now 1160, higher than the current rate. (Thank you for that change by the way Cryptic.) At tier V reputation there will be an option to convert omega marks to dilithium, further increasing the rewards. As for the explore missions and dailies, you may not enjoy them, but there are many players (including myself) that find them quite enjoyable. While the exploration generator can make some bad storylines (one storyline where I had to review borg personal logs comes to mind), there are also some very interesting random missions. If you don't enjoy these, nobody is forcing you to play them. This is a free game, play what you enjoy and be thankful Cryptic is very lenient in what they allow free to play players do. They could have set a cap on how much content playable in a day/week for free players, they didn't.

Lol are you serious, maybe any of this would make sense if they raised the Dilithium cap per day. But they haven't.

And the whole lot is time-gated and dilithium sinked to force more F2P members to buy Zen, why do you think they did it? to lose money on development time by making something that doesn't generate them more profit?

    "Oh you have a choice"

Many people don't many people have families, jobs and real lives, in order to get anywhere in the game those people will be paying through the nose to do it.

whether you agree with the business model or not, it is what it is. There's no point trying to argue that it is not, either defend it for what it is or don't.

@resistance9: How about you just stop talking about how much you hate the game and just go away. We don't want you here, you're being a troll and a flametard and really you should just leave off. If you hate the game and the developers so much, just stop replying here, you won't win any arguments anyway, and go away and never come back. Those of us who enjoy this game, despite the flaws, and who appreciate the effort the dev team and everyone else at Cryptic put into this game all the time just don't care about how much you hate the game. Just go, leave us in peace and never come back. We won't miss you.

My personal opinion is that you're flaming the game, other players and the developers because in reality, you spend tons of money on STO, you probably own every ship including the lockbox ones and are really simply venting your own annoyance at yourself for being addicted to STO. eh. maybe I'm wrong, (and regardless of whether I mean, you'll tell me I am while telling me how low of an opinion you have about me, and probably my family and whoever else you might come up with). Frankly, I don't care one way or the other about your opinion of me, or this game -- what I do care about is that you're abrasive and rude and are imposing that brash foolishness into my awareness.

So. I say again. Leave off, go away, stop playing. Now - come get your last spiteful word in, so you can go about feeling all pleased with yourself that you beat me down or oWnz me or whatever the kids are calling it these days, then get off my lawn. seriously. go.

The sad thing is that is exactly the type of player Cryptic want.

He's a more valued customer than you and I... no matter what he does on the forum :D

His demographic would be exactly who the Vesta-God-Ship is for.

A few KDF toons and you can be rolling in dilth, contraband, resources, and TRIBBLE to sell or discard for ec. On my avg KDF toon I can get 10k dilth per day with just a hour total time invested doffing. It's actually disgusting how much dilth you can get rolling KDF - funny you never hear many KDF players whine about getting dilth.

a few? Why not 200 toons and 3 chinese gold farmers working night and day to play this "Fun" grind for you.

I'm going to call Troll on the "STF lower Dil" post. No way someone is that upset to loose dilithium on the missions. If a person had been playing each mission exclusively for months I cant see how they would be hurting for Dil to the point they are crying fowl. I'm end game and all I really use Dil for is to make EC for the MK XII consoles so I am not sure what the panic is in loosing some.

In my experience, the best way to stop a troll is to troll them right back. That or booting them for a while (and permanently if they continue in failing to learn).

Failing that just stuff his pants with quadrotriticale and set loose a pack of tribbles.

Resistance, really, who died and made you lord of the forum? What right do you and anyone who acts like you have in coming on here and calling anyone names? I could tell you what I think about you, but then I would simply be lowering myself to your juvenile tantrum throwing behavior. I will simply repeat what other more mature than you- players have already said. In short- Don't like it- Don't play it and make everyone else's life more enjoyable by your absence

Correct, but each maintenance is different and requires different amounts of time depending on what needs to be done.

Except the fact that it is against forum rules, and it's lowering yourself to their level.

It is in fact correct, that if you don't feed the troll, it starves and dies...

If no one bites the trolls hook, it get bored and goes away, because no one is feeding their childish need to get attention.

Remember, they are usually 45 year old virgins living at home with their mother, or some other kind of person who is not interesting enough for someone to bother visiting them, so they go online and provoke other people...
