Im sorry that you feel that way... but when the Tholian Lock Boxes go poof and mirror ships start disappearing from the exchange... and the prices start going up... you'll see.
Its the law of supply and demand... right now theres a huge supply so the prices are low... but when the supply shrivels up, the prices will rise.
Cardassian lock boxes stopped dropping 3 month ago. The galor class ship is still worth 110M only, though. And it was told that there would be re-runs of the former lockboxes eventually, so there is absolutely no point to stockpile useless MU ship you won't sell for more than 4M even in a year or two, even if we have no rerun on this. The market is already full ; we reached the 400 MU ships on the exchange in less than 3 days. If it has to last two month, like the former ferengi box, there is no doubt the market will be flooded by 10k+ MU ships when the event is over.
The price should be decent in two or three years, maybe, if there is no tholian lock box rerun, but this is doubtful, and there are many other more profitable investments to do in the meantime. Investments which can give you millions a day instead in millions a year. This is why trading something for a MU ship is worthless, unless the stuff you traded for it had really no value.
If you intend to make huge profits in games, the n?1 rule you shall not break in any circumstance is to choose short-term profit. You want your profit asap, even if it's slightly less profitable than a long-term investment, because the market can collapse anytime.
I have 2 star cruisers, 18 standard and 16 gamma mini doff packs from tholian boxes. Looking to trade for a ferengi ship or one of the freightor things as they look cool too

Have: 150+ contraband, stacks of 100 of each of the Gamma Quadrant Commodities, Federation Combat EV suit, 20 Heavy Phaser Turrets, possibly some common doffs. More stuff that I'd have to log in to see.
Yes, I realize that thats a particularly bad trade EC wise, but, maybe somebody needs stuff for their Fleet base... or doesnt want to spend 7 bucks on an EV suit...
