Great work guys, it's not often I am impressed with this game but I do have to say you did well. The likeness of Worf is spot on and I'd love to see him again maybe in a time travelling mission or something.
It's a shame about not being an account unlock, I'd think many people would love that, myself included as we often delete and create characters and not being an account unlock means only some characters can use it. Perhaps add it in with the TNG uniform pack after the event is over would be a way around this. Got to be here for the event to get it free. I'd also would like to have seen a skirt added, but still quite happy with what my few Feddies now have.
My only real disappointement is nothing unique was added to the KDF, like Gowron's Coat, unique armour or something. Once against the KDF misses out getting the scraps from the Federation.

Meow, I really luv the new Season 1 TNG uniform, especially because the female versions have no clipping issues at the shoulder-arm borderline. I really hope the normal TNG uniforms can sumday be fixed accordingly. The male uniforms are fine anyway, just the female ones have that issue.

Am I the only one that is disappointed? The 25th Anniversary of TNG, which all together lasted 7 seasons and 4 movies. I was a fan of the original series and grew up with TNG in high school and college. If it weren't for TNG there wouldn't have been DS9, Voyager or Enterprise.
All we get is a couple of costume pieces? I admit the first thing I did was log on with my Klingon toon and add the beard. The sash is cool too. But still, I would have thought they would have done more.
now if only the appropriate TNG + TNG Movie Badges wouldn't clip into the uniform on every bit of movement... for males
and on slightly increased - maxed out Bust Size sliders for females even on default stance...
in this mirror universe of greed that has been sto of late thank you for putting out something we have asked for and free.....account unlock would of made it perfect.....more unlockable baldrics, tng early and later admirals uniforms and yesterdays enterprise uniforms?
I have tried with two of my toons that are level 1 and both cannot recieve this mission to get the uniform. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a minimum level that they have to be to complete this?.. hoping to find out so I can get them up to speed.
makeup has nothing whatsoever to do with likeness rights
Paramount owned the makeup design. In almost all cases where an actor appears in makeup, it had to be sorted out who got the rights to the character in makeup. In almost every case, it was Paramount. There are a handful of exceptions, generally negotiated by an actor. But I understand that there was a standard arrangement where if you appeared in makeup, Paramount owned the version of your face as it appeared in makeup unless you were able to negotiate around that.
It's not entirely unrelated to how James Doohan got a cease and desist for playing a vested engineer with a Scottish accent.
Paramount owned the characters' trademarks and made sure, in most cases, that they owned the actor's faces as they appeared in makeup, from what I understand from talking to licensees.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson probably got an exemption to that. Alaimo, Shimerman, and Jeff Combs and others had been down the block so much that they may have gotten similar clauses added eventually for later characters they played although I think their clauses would probably be for approvals, which might not directly pay -- but they could hold up on approvals as a negotiating tactic. (Ie. "Well, you've got the face right but the hands are all wrong. They should have a check in them.")
I've heard before that it was central to the whole idea of creating Odo that they be able to re-cast without consulting Rene A. so I'm pretty sure the Odo likeless is flat out owned by CBS now. (Paramount felt burned by Tasha Yar's exit and Dax and Odo were conceived in response to that as characters who could be recast without needing the actor's permission.)
Worf was intended to be a walk-on. I'm not even sure if they initially planned for him to have lines. As such, I'm pretty sure that's one case where Dorn signed over full, perpetual rights to his face (as it appeared in makeup) as soon as he signed the contract.
If they were to have Worf turn into a human or Romulan or even a Talaxian, I think Dorn would probably be due for a cut. As long as he appears as a Klingon roughly based on how he looked on the show (changes in ridges and hair not withstanding, "based on" loosely), I think CBS probably has perpetual rights to his face in that form, under contract.
I think the Undine plot would serve that urge nicely. The dude wants to do low budget stuff as Worf.
Cryptic should get him on speed dial.
Actually I think it was brought to Dorn's attention when people got the Dabo girl to do VO work. Then a lot of people brought it to the attention of other former Trek actors and Dorn was at the top of the list since Worf is still around in the game.

Lifetime no longer gives a forum title. That should be updated on the Lifetime page that mentions what you get. PMing the CSR doesn't work neither.
I seem to be having an issue with this. I tried to do the quest, then my toon just radnomly dropped it, now I can't find it again?
That's because I believe it just ended. Really wanted to get this unlock, but haven't been able to get in the game for the last 10 days...apparently it takes longer than that for PWE to respond to a ticket...

Yeah, my bad. I wasn't looking at the time and thought I had more then I did.
My 'puter died that weekend... (Total melt-down of VISTA..., had to go out an get a new hard-drive and Win-7)
I missed it also.
We can only hope that perhaps these free items will become available in the C/Z-store at some point in the future.
OR...
Perhaps during the actual anniversary week that TNG premiered (Sept 28th 1987), They will give those of us that missed the July time period, an opportunity to acquire the items also.

2 years and counting...
...but anyway:
YAY finally some TNG from the TOS Fanboi Studio again
We appreciate such and iconic uniform from one of our favorite characters
also the collar as also been removed and looks just like it did on the show.

Michael Dorn is trying to pitch CBS on a low budget Direct to video movie about Worf hunting terrorists...

I don't think he's aware of STO or its plotline.

Thanks for the free unlocks Cryptic.
