    Dear Heretic, I love you and I love the Doff system. My BO3 'celcior demands that new Energy Weapons Doff variant. And the Tuffli sounds like a must have for any addicted Doffer. I have no complaints about this. Bring on the new Doff packs!

    A freighter, eh? That's actually pretty neat. Useless, but neat. I don't see anyone scrambling for those that isn't a hardcore roleplayer, but I certainly wouldn't argue with getting one by chance if I open a pack.

    Say, will these new packs also come with a guaranteed 10 Lobi?

    That freighter is pretty cool and not just for RP. It's should be great for leveling doffs

    "We want to add things like crafting to ship interiors..."

    Evidently, these things quite simply AREN'T POSSIBLE on existing interiors, you need to invent new interiors, which can only be accessed via "dropboxes" or similar devices.

    I really don't need any more duty officers, even if they have new passive abilities. Can't the duty officers be packaged separately within the reinforcements pack? Like:

    Reinforcements Pack:
    1. Duty Officer Pack (bound)
    2. 1 of the following:
    - Gamma Quadrant commodities
    - Gamma Quadrant consumable
    - Alien Artifact
    - Random MkXII console
    - Tuffli freighter

    Either this or create some sort of "overflow" roster for doffs. Some players in the game really are MAXED OUT on Doffs and would have to trash or sell some just to make room to open a Doff pack. A horrible oversight with the Doff system that has been ignored too long.

    Because it makes perfect sense that some old freighter can craft anything it wants on board, but the newest Federation carrier escort cant...

    Perhaps add these abilities to the regular ships, with bonuses of some sort for using them on the freighter?

    There's no monetary gain to adding these abilities to the regular ships. PWE/Cryptic needs to make money, so they attach the abilities to NEW ships, which you must use real money to get.

    Grinding 680'000 Dilithium (current price is 340 Dilithium/point * 2000 pts) for a single C-Store ship, is not really much of an option to "most" people.

    True, but there's monetary gain in not annoying players by placing sought after convenience abilities in C-store ships.

    True, some people will pay money for it, but they sure won't be happy about it, and in just the thread for the announcement alone there are two or three people unhappy about it.

    the advantage of 3 blue or purple new energy weapon officers is a line that shouldn't have been crossed. the active roster, if it wasn't already, is the single most important part of your build. more important then your weapons, more important then your equipment, more important then your consoles. so much for the doff system being in the background, its taken over the actual gameplay, and has invalidated the cooldowns that are the foundation of the space combat system balance. a good active roster might even be more important then skill now.

    You should clear up the lines that don't have anything to do with your comments. It'd make it easier to read, and it would be more clear that you are placing comments in the text and not simply copying and pasting the news article to be a spammer.

    I'm not so sure that's true. I've had the same DOFF layout since maybe rank 35 at most (Rank 50 now, been so for about a month and a half), and since then I've changed ships 3 or so times, and weapons/shields much more than that. I can honestly say the weapons/shields of my ship and the power layout made for a MUCH larger impact on gameplay than any DOFF ability I had.

    I find this blog to be a bit humorous... a non-combat ship, possibly OP new Doff powers (are we going to get them in random assignments as well, or only in the Reinforcements pack?), and a chance to "pay-to-win" on getting a Mk XII VR Console (though honestly it's only marginal improvement, PvPers are always trying to squeeze the last drop of performance out of their ships). I prefer this over the prizes from the lockboxes.

    Unless the ship is intended to be available in the C-store now or later, it's just using the DOFF packs instead of lockboxes as an online raffle ticket, though it avoids the spam of unopenable (if you don't want to buy keys) boxes, which is a big improvement. It's very cool to hear about the new DOFF powers though.

    I'm REALLY likin the new doffs, I'm likin some of the rewards and I'm REALLY pumped about the freighter !

    The only thing is, what about lobi crystals ?
    I find their omission troubling.
    I'm guessing they are now just with the lock boxes ?
    So, am I to assume that there will be a lock box event ON TOP of this promotion as well?

    I hoping I've got this wrong.

    Are there plans to INCREASE these games of chance promotions being offered on the
    C store ?

    I for one would NOT like to see multiple lock box like events running simultaneously.

    Can you ONLY find the new Doff powers in this pack? Or can they randomly show up on in game acquired Doffs?
