For over a thousand years, Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of a triumph - a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpeters and musicians and strange animals from the conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conqueror rode in a triumphal chariot, the dazed prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children, robed in white, stood with him in the chariot, or rode the trace horses. A slave stood behind the conqueror, holding a golden crown, and whispering in his ear a warning: that all glory is fleeting.

Well, either he's watching Patton, or he's reading the quotes page at IMDB.

I thought I would stand here like this so you could see if I was really as big a son of a "Gun" as you think I am.

I don't know why, but the image of a bullet coming straight for my nose was more horrifying than anything else.

i tried eve, and while its mildly entertaining, i felt i spent more time in dock waiting for the skills i needed to fly that ship i wanted to lvl up as opose to doing anything =/ it made me sad panda coz i would rather pew pew stuff then sit around waiting for this one skill to lvl... i hate that about eve how you lvl up via time as opose to anything else... essentially speaking i could max out ever skill in the game without ever leaving dock.... and some of those skills take DAYS to lvl up.... to me it's just a huge pointless money sink while i wait for things to lvl up.....

Yeah that was an issue when I first played it.

Basically I stopped playing and decided to wait for STO when it came out. My nerdy friends and I were super excited, yet soon we found that Cryptic had released a game that was essentially an open-beta in terms of content. We all maxed out in level and found no content on the Klingon side so we just stopped playing. I've busied myself with the RPG ever since lol.

If there's one thing STO has going for it it's an astoundingly friendly and articulate community, something which I find gravitating. EVE is not so friendly in those terms. I remember my first experience with EVE gameplay was to find a random crate full of goodies, which I took foolishly, not knowing that some evil person with an assault ship was waiting for me to do so in order to blow me up. That guy chased me through five systems lol.
