I see alot of people throwing the word "lies" around. Now, before you go bashing me, let's try to be realistic, here. Cryptic has every intention of delivering on what they said they would deliver. Because they fail to do so does NOT make the failure a lie. Lies are intentional deceptions. I do not and cannot believe they intend to deceive us. And calling me naieve is not going to change anything. I simply cannot and will not believe that a capitalist venture would misinform people about the product they are buying, knowing they are misinforming them.

I'm as depressed and displeased as the next guy, but, calling these people liars is not a healthy way to go about getting what you want. I also, am not saying to schmooze them. Brown-nosing is not always admired by people on the receiving end of such false praise. That said, let's try to be a bit more honest and up front, and just say "Hey! We want more variety in our ships! The stable looks mighty sparse, over here, and it's really starting to offend us that you are giving so much more to them than to us." Having Gorn, Nausicaan, and Orion ships become available as new ships for the Klingon Faction would be a really nice start, and would inspire the PvP a bit more, too. The Fed players would sit up, and want to fight the Klingons, just to see what these new ships were like. Honestly? Why should the NPCs be the only ones with these ships?

Well, I don't know. Today it seems like there was an intentional deception. The Enterprise J was listed on a poll of what ships people want to see in the future.

It turns out that was an intentional mistake and/or deception. They never meant the enterprise J itself. They meant something else. But never explained that.

Granted, that's a Fed ship. So somewhat not related to the KDF.

    BUT ... there's also a KDF poll.

What if there's intentional deceptions or mistakes in that poll? That no one's explained yet?

See ... last month I might have been more sympathetic to your post. But right now, it's kind of hard for me to support it. It really does look like a lie.

    End of August? Indeed.

Maybe they were talking end of August 2011 when the last of the remaining KDF players are all gone.
And yeah its hard to believe anything they say now. Feds get another ship that has better BO slots than anything we have meanwhile we still have the grand total of 2 added ships ever. The K'tanco T2 cruiser and the new carrier thats not really useful.

I read all those posts before. There's no evidence it's going to be a B'rel. That's my point. :p

So responding to a thread specifically about a fires-while-cloaked B'rel and saying someone was working on it isn't enough because he didn't use the actual name? 'Kay, how about this...

They are definitely in the works, on the schedule and being developed....

The current thinking (that may change) is that KDF will get...
    Vor'cha (at 41)
    Gorn (at 51)
    Nausicaan (at 51)
    Orion (at 51)
    TBD Klingon ship (51)

re: TBD ship... we're tinkering with the idea of a Be'rel that can fire torps while cloaked (I think it could be problematic.. but designer thinks its doable).

    Source.

The B'rel is not a Cryptic design, so yeah, that's another ship on the list, and so is the Gorn ship.

Sadly the Fire while cloaked B'rel ship seems to SCREAM C-STORE to me. It would only make sense as there ARE no Klingon ships in the C-Store yet. And the Chang BoP or something like it has been asked for a lot sorta like the Galaxy-X.

cloaked torp shooting is a complete waste of time anyway when torps do nothing to a ship with its shields up

and what makes you think the torps it fires will do nothing? This ship was able to damage the Enterprise and the Excelsior, and also exposed its hull to space with just a few shots. It's just too bad Chang was having too much fun playing with his prey instead of being serious but then again thats movies for you.

Also please note in the movies & tv shows they have to raise shields they are not all ways up (unlike on this game)

As i said in a previous post the bop that can fire only torps while cloaked is useless unless cryptic change the way either they work or change the way shields are used.

I.e shields have an on off button ... but that again is pointless as the minute anyone enters an arena they would press said button .. & unfortunatly even the TRIBBLE feds can do that.

It depends on what they do with it. It could be something cool, or complete trash. It sounds like it would be something difficult to implement without it being either worthless or situationally broken. If nothing else I look forward to seeing some kind of end result just to find out how it will be implemented (and if it's better than my Hegh'ta... well Hell, all the better...)

They won't change their ways until there are no klingons left at all. Then they will move on to adding the romulans.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't find anything about all sales are final, no refunds.

    2nd (Highlight to read)
What is stopping Klingon players from getting refunds and/or suing Cryptic for contract infringement?

I figure this has about 24 hours before it is deleted by a moderator but it is something to think about.

But they 'fail to do so' alot when it comes to klingons, while it may not be a 'lie' it might as well be. Just recently there was a post showing the nebula's potential abilities (I said potential) and screen shots of what it looks like (and a fine looking ship it is too) now these klingon ships were suppose to have been in the works a while now, and just now we get a post saying we will not be getting them for another 6 weeks? (not even in the klingon game play forum!) We get no word as to what their abilities may be, what class they really are (Or if we do its a heck of alot less then they got on the Excellcer or the Nebula, klinks would kill for that kind of info) or even screenshots. NOT EVEN SCREEN SHOTS. All in caps in case you missed it. The feds can get screenshots of a ship thats not slated to be out for a while, but klingons cant even get this on the ships that were PUSHED back and slated to be out this month.

You have to admit its hard to belive that anything is being done when there is litteraly no proof of anything going on. I'm not saying they are lying or they are not working on 'something' but another 6 weeks past the due date? No word as to what they are to prehaps make it so the klingons put down the pitch forks and torches?

    1) Some of us are lifers who actually enjoy the game, faults and all.
    2) Any litigation on our part iether as a whole or as individuals would be foolish as there is no legal leg to stand on.
    3) Refunds may still be possible through billing, but most of us still here are the last survivors on the old gaurd. We do not wish to leave - we want to be treated with at least a 1/4 of the pandering they give the Feds if at all.

Which kinda makes sense. Just re-skin, re-name maybe toss in a thing or two and exactly what you said. Klingons are gone, Romulans are here. Everyone jumps at new race ... profit made!

Given the time frame of STO ... they can come up with more plausible stories (destruction of romulus/hobbus nova/spock/nemo/etc things) besides the .... federation - klingon war.

To tell you the truth, you are mostly correct. They will move on to another faction in 3.0...Yes sir, they will MAYBE add T5 refits for Klingons and then look at their creation calling it good, then move on. I feel that it more or less beginning to look...well, has been in this stage for some time now....like Federation Online, not Star Trek Online.
There were multiple species that could take on the Federation and could quite possibly win, or make them suffer major setbacks (no, I am not talking about just the borg), but they would not dare bring those factio0ns to life as it would give the whiney feds something else to whine about. I hate to say it, but being a Klingon without the support of the developers SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

Even at the lower levels (LT C) the tide has turned. Federation ships outgun most Klingon Ships. I don't know what has happened but the Federation technology has definitvely improved over anything the Klingons can bring to field. Perhaps if we find a Ferengi merchant roaming the Beta Quadrant!

Since they don't have much of a new homeworld, would they just have a starbase for the new Romulan faction?...I'll bet that it's a carbon copy of ESD...lol...

Really, I wouldn't release the Romulans in that fashion..It's just wrong.
