Can someone confirm if this is a glitch or a reality?
I bought the tribble and borg officer from the c-store but it wants me to buy it for each damn character I have.
I thought once something was unlocked in the c-store it was unlocked across the account.
If this is a new trend, that items may only be unlocked on a per character basis.. I'm going to be royally ****ed off.

For example, you'll note that costume packs have "Note: Purchase of this option unlocks these costumes for every Federation character on an account." attached to them, meaning you only need to buy it once and it will unlock for all your characters on an account.
However on other characters they are only free to claim under "Special Unlocks", if you try to get them off the "Featured" page it will charge you again.
It's probably a bug.

Just like rename and respec, they might need to be purchased multiple times for multiple characters.

Any chance of a refund on my 120 cryptic points i wasted purchasing the "Pet Targ" when i was on my fed toon?
Because if what you says is the inteded function then it should be impossible to buy a Pet Targ on a federation character.
Oh, I didn't expect to see a scenario like that either, quite surprising indeed.
I am beginning to suspect the "Featured" page is broken, as two people have been claimed to be able to buy the Targ on their Federation Character from that page. Yet under "Special Unlocks" it clearly claims you are not able to do this.
I would pass this on to your co-workers who do the c-store to check.
What about the Federation Borg Bridge Officer?
Just done some testing, and confirmed that Borgarella can be claimed on multiple Federation characters after purchase.
Is this intended? If not, could you let us know when it's getting fixed so I can make sure all my characters have one?

To be specific, are you asking if it's a bug that purchasing it once allows you to claim it on all your characters?
I think the concern is that neither the website nor the UI proclaims whether most items purchased are available to all toons on the account, or just the one it is purchased on. It would be helpful to put a notation with each description, so that people will know.

Could use confirmation that the Federation Borg Bridge Officer is a single purchase for all Federation characters on an account. (And likewise for the Klingon one)

Anyone got a character name that had this happen? I need a guinea pig for some logsearching.
On my fed toon, the targ shows as "Restricted" on the "Featured" page.
However, there are some quirks if you own items that you have not claimed. For example, I've not claimed the Bloodwine Emote which shows up under "Featured" for a 20 CP purchase. If I go under "Special Unlocks" and "Miscellaneous" it shows as "Claim Free Item". Folks are going to make mistakes. You might as well tell customer service to expect an increase in volume.

Since this is so problematic just make everything unlocked for all characters and be done with it.
Ironically, the reason behind not having C-Store functions on Tribble is to keep people from accidentally making transactions. Well, for a different reason anyhow (buying stuff on a test server vs. buying stuff for the wrong faction).
The problem is with their new "Featured" page. I bought the Best Buy Tribble on one character which automatically claims it and puts it in your inventory. I switched characters and noticed the "Featured" page wants me to buy it again. However, once i looked under "Special Unlocks" for the Tribble it says "Claim Free Item".
The Featured Page (ERRONEOUSLY) wants you to purchase any unlocked item that you have NOT CLAIMED on your alts.
If you've purchased it on any character, simply go to "Special Unlocks" to claim it. YOU DO NOT NEED to purchase it again.
CRYPTIC: Please fix the Featured page to say "Claim Free Item" once you've purchased an item.
Ok, perhaps my original claim was false. I will re-check with the developers again. Fortunately, it looks like even though the Featured page has a Buy Now link, you get an error message if you try to buy something you already have.
Good to know about the error message. I wanted to test that but didn't out of fear of not getting a refund.
Correct. Eventhough the Featured Page says you can buy it, the system knows that you already did, and won't allow you to. The Featured Page just needs to be synched up with the others. Possibly letting people know where to find the purchased stuff would help, too. Some of us know, because we have claimed stuff off of it from the old interface. There, it only had 2 tabs. This one has a few more, and may need some explanation to some.
Friendly advice; Never give a definate answer if you're not definately sure it's correct.
