Just wanted to add that if the OP is so desperate to get te Galaxy X why doesn't he just pay the money, start 5 accounts, sub them up and keep quiet?

All this 'convince me you deserve a 'free' game' stuff smacks of excessive ego and crying for attention.

I really thinkt hat the GMs need to delete every one of these referral offer posts it really sets a bad tone for the forum to see what amounts to real money trading going on on the front page of the most read forum..

If you think these posts aren't real money trading then you'r sadly mistaken.

hang on Mr Superior. This guy is offering to buy your game in return for you buying a subscription. This is cash value and not trading in game items.

As for education? When you argue with such poor grammar and spelling it might serve you well to be a little less vocal about such things.

I think most of the negativity is based on suspicion. Cryptic has made this crowd critical and skeptical of everything and I don't really blame them.

Cryptic has offered an item which, for collectors, is hard to come by. Buying 5 box's and giving them away to a fan isn't something worth getting riled over. It doesn't break the EULA because he isn't selling them , making money from them or using them in a promotion of any kind. As far as the 10 Euro, I'd simply offer the one that won't put you out of pocket.

There's nothing wrong with this idea. I'd pick 5 random friends and have them use the acct. but this is the next best place, I guess. :D

I got yer back on this one. GL

BTW, this thread made me remember this woman I had worked with that was an actual Klingon. She went through Klingon school/college and could speak the language. Scary woman. I forget which movie she was in.

Well #1 have to use the RAF key first, then you need the retail box and to pay for a month. There's no mention of the RAF key from the OP as any condition and not even sure if it's implemented yet.

comprehension not big on your list either?
What the Winners need to do:

    1. Send me a PM with your E-mail adress, wait for my Referral Email, klick on the Link inside it and create an Account (i need to see you as refferal in my Account!)

    2. When i see you i will buy and then send the Retail-Code to you, (this may take one or two days, wait for it)!
Enter the CD-Key that i will send you, play the full game with 30 free days included.

    3. most important: Subscribe for at least 30 more days! (you know because of referral bonus and all that...)

Remember: To subscribe to the Game you will need a PayPal Account or a Credit Card! (or get some GameTime Cards at Amazon or ebay or wherever you can find one.)

This is not a refer a friend program. It has now become a "conscript a stranger by any means or enticement necessary."

Can I ask how, what the OP is doing, effects you as an individual in anyway? Why you feel so moved to try and stop him? And if you succeed how will your experience here be improved?

It's detrimental to the forum to have people begging people to join the game and enticing them with real life cash value in return for them spending their money. In terms of repeat threads and just that it's an underhand way for cryptic to behave by condoning it.

You can ask all you like but you know you won't like the answer.
Regardless, we are in for another weekend of mayhem because of another Friday piece of nonsense that Cryptic drop in out laps and leave it to fester.

My experience is improved by not seeing the forum flooded with threads begging people to 'be my friend, spend your cash, get me a big ship'

Well I can't speak for them, but I know I will be much happier when I don't have to look at players spamming their advertising in game and on the forums for referral give aways.

That happened because the players have taken it upon themselves to make it happen and cryptic have condoned it by inaction.

Although I expect that's not the question you meant to ask. However, with me being so ill-educated it would be rude of me to second guess you.

so u mean grammar is important rather than understanding it so thats what u have... i get you now lol

I dont mind saying or i admit i have poor grammer cuz i know alot of medical terms so at times i really do mess up on ordinary words and even doctors make mistake on that too seen it all the time but comprehension is very vital. u should know that than grammar.

this is going off the topic (seems your angry lol)

I have no interest in doing this as a lifer but I would warn the OP that he has the potential to get scammed quite hard by this. Remember that each CD Key can be applied to an existing account for 30 days of gametime. So there is the possibility that a disgruntled player (you think there are a few in this thread?) or someone looking to save $15 might create an account to accept the referral and then apply the CD Key to an existing account for a free month of gameplay. That's why this is a bad idea more than anything else and why offers like this should be made to people you trust and not just a general forum community.

There was a question? The point was that your question becomes redundant once you understand the meaning of the statement.

I'm having difficulty understanding your language but I'll answer your question : Yes he did.

Again, if you don't know what "what you NEED to do means, if you can't comprehend what a statement of terms is, if you can't understand what a stipulation as part of an offer is then please stop arguing with me over something that is quite clear except in your mind.

I'll take one for my roommate.

I want a Galaxy-X but not THAT badly.

He'll stay for more than 30 days because I'm a lifer and both his brother and several of his high school friends play. He was a loyal MMO player but he's been putting off buying a copy and I didn't plan on dropping $30 just to get him to play right now.

If you have a shortage of feedback, I'll take one for my best friend from high school too. He was a loyal Warcraft player for years but has been shifting more towards console action games.

Not the funny kind of reply i had hoped for but your on top of the list.

Send me a PM with the e-mail of your *room mate* and he is in!
(i will take you by your word that you make sure that he keeps playing for a while ;) )

As soon as i see him in my account i get a Code for ya and we will see if the process works like intended.

About your Warcraft player.... mmmh i have a friend who is into Warcraft and he didn't like STO in Open Beta much.
Little more convincing needed there ;-)

    STOP SPAMMING IN MY THREAD!
...make your own anti Thread if Life pi**es you off so much!

This thread is just another example of the SNAFU that Cryptic's Marketing Department has created.

Just like the Advisory Committee, this whole Galaxy X idea should be scrapped......Common sense should have told someone that it was illconceived from the get go....but I have seen no indication that Cryptic's Marketing Department has any common sense.

I wish the programers, who I believe are very skilled at what they do, would just tell the Marketing Dept. to bugger off and keep their foolish ideas the Hell away from STO.

Only the Developers will bring more players to the game, by improving the game and continuing to roll out new content. "Suits" and Marketing Dept. (dunder) heads will only destroy it!!

Please Cryptic Devs, take control of your game and keep all others away......Its a good game, its getting better, don't let anyone else TRIBBLE with it.

This is what happens when you can find the game in the bargain bin. Essentially, you pay $100 bucks for a stinking item in a game. It's absolutely mind boggling, really.

No offense OP, but this cunning scheme of yours is just begging for someone to burn you to a cinder.

It's unbelievable that players have no shame and are actively attempting to bribe new players with in game items or actual cash value rewards just so they are able to get a game reward themselves. It's even more pitiful that Cryptic are allowing this to continue.

It's pitiful and ugly to see.

    Agreed 100%.
