That sucks Firix. It's like a slow painful death. I'll be sure to say something nice at your funeral. Also, if we ever get the ship emote, I'll hold you an in-game funeral on my ship and shoot you off into space. You will be missed.

I wouldn't have answered and pretended I was out doing something important and 'accidently' forgetting my phone.

There are limits to what employers can ask of me when it comes to my free time hehe. I work to live, I don't live to work. :p

    Naps are good... <3

25 min. till my work day is over, then the gym for a hour and then some grocery shopping after that.
I hope to be home in roughly 3 hours from now. Who knows.. Maybe I'll even get to play the game lol. :p

There was a cool movie coming on tv as well tonight though!

Oi, IM2 is awesome! I can definately recommend watching it. :D

I also saw the Crazies last saturday, I bought the original a month ago in London and that one was pretty sucky, but then again the movie is 37 years old now. The remake was really nice though and had some interesting surprises compared to the original.

Do you like face to face combat? In the MACO division of the 12-th Fleet we specialize in being the best of the best in ground combat situations. It does not matter if you are a science, engineering, or tactical officer. Each of these classes is an asset to the team. If you enjoy the ground aspects of STO and the potential these classes have in the game please join The 12th-Fleet MACO division. www.12th-fleet.com Register in the forums and post an application today!

    Hi,

please consider me regrettably uninformed. I read around on your site and in this thread, but still have not been able to get the gist of what most of the 12th's subdivisions focus on. I understand that Tactical focuses on space combat while MACO does ground combat - but even that does not give me a clear picture (is that about PvP, PvE, Rads etc..).

Beyond that I even feel more clueless. I understand there is a group of folks crafting, but which it is i'm at loss. Medical seems to focus on science players for healing , but what do the other "science" divisions do?

    Etc..

So... is there a concise non-RP description of your goups and what they focus on you could point me to?
Or, failing that, could you at least explain in a few sentences what your division focuses on and what it thinks/expects its members will do?

    Thanks, C

Yes, we are still accepting applications to the fleet. Just check that out on the fleet forums.

Our divisions are not really that important, as the game did not fully implement everything we thought it would. Pretty much the only divisions that may have a requirement of sorts would be medical and MACO. Just go ahead and sign up for a division, and if, for some reason, you don't like it, then you can just transfer.

As described by Ikrit in function most divisions are fluff, though some divisions do have extra functions outside the game. Intelligence for example focusses on keeping the fleet safe from external threat while Jag focusses on internal issues. Tactical/ maco mostly focus on pvp, but this is not exclusive, those members join in with pve too.

Gameplay wise there isn't really any difference between the divisions, it's mostly outside the game in the form of extra functions. People who don't want to perform extra duties don't have to do so though. The higher you get in rank in the fleet the more that is expected off you, but every rank below captain can be considered fluff. :)

Crafting and diplomacy are functions that can be filled by everybody who has an interest in doing these, people stay in their own division for that.
If you have detailed questions about something specific feel free to send me an in-game mail and I'll get back to you asap.

Been a few days since I stuck my head in. Been pretty busy this week and it's only going to get worse. Can't wait till the weekend hits!

Luckily, I've actually found myself logging into STO more recently now that their are phaser options to spend my B'Tran Marks on. So nice to be able to fill out my ships the way I always wanted to.

By the way, for those of you who have yet to see Iron Man 2, make sure you stay till the END of the CREDITS and watch the teaser before you leave. If you're a Marvel fan you will indeed enjoy the snipet.

    Hey Clavis,

Engineering tends to focus on crafting(Engineering items) and flying a Crusier in game. As well as having an Engineering officer as your in game character. In PvP that would put you in the role of a tank in space combat. In ground combat you would be the member who would place turrents, shields, etc... to help out the group in say an STF. If you get a chance check out our forum.:)

What type of phasers did you choose?
