Normally you would be correct, but Jenseits is a strange word that causes the subject it modifies to fall into the genitive case, which is the situation here.

Yeah, it very well be mich as opposed to mir here.

    Frieden is masculine.

Ah, thank you for the corrections. And I'm not sure where I got the impression that Frieden was neuter, I just looked it up, and you're right (of course ).

    99 Duesenjaeger
    Jeder war ein grosser Krieger
    Hielten sich fuer Captain Kirk
    Das gab ein grosses Feuerwerk
    Die Nachbarn haben nichts gerafft
    Und fuehlten sich gleich angemacht
    Dabei schoss man am Horizont

It always cracks me up that such an upbeat tone is used to sing about the beginning of World War III.

I plan on waiting for the technological singularity, when strong AI allows us to perfect cybernetic enhancements. With luck, I can get the parts of me that begin to decline or fail replaced with cybernetic or mechanical parts. As many as are needed to keep me alive forever.

Yes, I plan on either 1) achieving immortality through cybernetics or 2) dying before I hit 40. :D

You people and your foreign languages... I really need to pick up a third language. Everyone speaks English these days, and my limited Spanish can only take me so far!

I'm in the same boat. My Spanish is basically limited to "Hello" and "Where is my mother's pencil?" and my French is even weaker than that. You can take all the classes in the world, but if you never really have a chance to use the language regularly, the skills fade.
