I LOVE THIS GAME AND THE ONLY BAD THING I HAVE SEEN IS Ungrateful PLAYERS
Most startrek fans have waited for this game for a while play games like eve till this cam out.
when it comes out people arnt happy.
i missed my life time sub due to the fact i liver in australia. our pre order key came out after the deal finished.
i was in the beta but still missed out. and what realy gets me is i saw a post from a guy trying to get a refund.
very poor form there i will say.
there are many out there who would like a life time sub.
these people need to wake up and realize that they got a good deal.
or just get lost.
if you dont have any faith in the game why did you buy it.
lay off cryptic its not like these people could dont a better job.
there quick to ***** about anything.
and have no love for the game.

Well honestly I'd say the one bad thing about this game is the exploration content, such as it is.

Other than that I love it.

Ungrateful people are par for the course in any game, but especially in an MMO and double especially in an MMO based on a well known IP.

This is just our chance to rise up against internet 2.0 and tell the world. NO! We don't want to hear your comments, you are all insignificant and unspecial.

Actually the best way to enjoy the game is to stay off the general forums. The profession, and gameplay specific areas are more constructive and uplifting. Also your post wont disappear in less than a minute.

I crossed the road the other day and I wasn't run over so I was grateful.

You must be grateful to Microsoft for selling you that operating system too, and very grateful to your ISP, oh, and super grateful to the good people who made and sold you your monitor, don't forget that nice credit card company, be grateful they allow you to buy a sub!

Whilst I appreciate the points that the OP is trying to put across, unfortunately the post does not do the points justice.

The fact remains that Cryptic and Atari are not doing us all a favour and releasing this game to keep us happy, it is a commercial enterprise (excuse the pun).

We pay for the game, and also pay monthly to play it. In return for our side of the contract, we are entitled to expect a return on investment, or services in return for money. If those services are not provided adequately for whatever reason, then people are entitled to complain. Ungrateful is the wrong word to choose for this thread, OP, as it is a business not a non-profit organisation.

This makes me happy. Earlier there was pretty much nothing but trash talking. It's refreshing to finally see the people who actually LIKE the game speak up. Perhaps it's just the crabby people are just sleeping and will have something negative to say later when they wake on the wrong side of the bed per usual. It's one thing to be mad about getting kicked off the servers and have to wait in a queue (which was REQUESTED by customers, not implemented to **** us off as it seems to be thought), but an entirely different thing to start ragging on the game because someone thinks Cryptic should do it the way that they think it "right".

Anyways, keep up the positive outlook and maybe the negativity the other forum users give off will be negated and won't cause a black hole of negative energy which consumes and destroys the game.

    I'm tired... night all.

Ungrateful? For a product I paid for? You damn well better believe I'm not grateful. Gratitude applies to gifts, not services paid for.

I agree, why should I be greatfull for a game I pay for. Its not like Cryptic when desiding on a game said: Oh lets pick Star trek that should make the fans happy. No they picked it to make money.

No, but I am profoundly crotchety.

Still, it is utterly absurd to expect gratitude for a service simply rendered for payment. There is a point at which going above and beyond reasonable expectation for the compensation provided engenders gratitude, but right now Cryptic doesn't even have to duck to limbo under that bar. There are goods specifically listed in the terms of sale that have not been provided to me by the time promised. No, gratitude is not even remotely appropriate.

in fact i have never seen a game with such strong moraity and freindship.
most missions you have help we are all federation or klingon or both.
we will never have a world like this as we look for conflict in everything.
    even a forum.
or a game we waited for.

Your right... I'm grateful that I paid almost $300 to stare at loading screens every ten minutes.

Let's hope Cryptic realizes that they have to invest some money back into the cgame If they want to keep making money on the game.

Most missions are "kill them before they kill you" maybe 1% are ones to help. Yesterday I did a mission were you got tricked by the undine to massacre a romulan sience station.. and you dont get punished or anything.. whats the morality in that?

I think the game is ok (in space), really lazy developers though out to make a quick buck. The graphics engine is awful and the ground animations are disgusting to say the least. It is fun but its the year 2010 we can have looks and game play.

    Gameplay(in space) 8/10
    Gameplay(ground)5/10
    Animations 0/10
    Graphics 7/10

Overall imo 7/10,would be 8/10 but those animations are dreadful! but wont stop me playing I just try to avoid exploration missions.:D
