the 1st idea i would like to pose, & i'm sure its been sead befor but i'll say it again. Klingons should be able to duel eachother, anywere, anytime, without having to join a PvP que. I feel this would help to build the community greatly in the fact that it offers instent action anywhere, in the great hall or on a space station or what have you. If a system like that is not possible then I suggest a dueling area on Qo'noS. There are what looks to be arenas just outside of the Great Hall that would be perfect for this. Bat'tleh compatisions could be held between Fleets. It could be used to settle disagreements between players. It will help bring life & excitment to Qo'noS.

{Idea 13} stronger bond between captain and bridge officers/boarding combat (short term)
This idea fits in mainly with boarding combat mentioned in earlier ideas and with ship interiors coming soon in season 2 this wouldnt be to far away how it would work is while the player is away from the ship in a boarding party to the enemy ship the players ship is controlled by Ai . Each bridge officer that has a bridge station would have an Ai memory of how the player used him/her throughout their existence (many games use this example soul caliber 2 arcade) that would get more developed as time went on to ensure better Ai play style of the character. the play could have an option to erase the play style memory implemented into the BO for alot of reasons like a set change of abilities that would operate different. Also there could be another BO station and a few changes made to the bridge to better play with this idea like being able to assign bridge officers to whatever station you need them at displayed on the bridge so maybe a lt com console looks a bit bigger than a ensign console. (and the correct BO appears there when the bridge is loaded) The other BO station would be the helmsman station and in its case all this does is the bo you seat there saves how you fly the ship during combat and trys to mimic you when away
SHORT: Expand Exploration Missions.
Expand Exploration Missions to include every mission you've ever done. Just copy all missions and paste them into the Exploratory Missions. It'd be a quick fix for more diversity in endgame for RA5 players.
MID: Advanced Ship Customization
Love my Galaxy Ship but it's a Tier 4. For RA5+ players, give us an unlock option to advance our ship with more additional Device slots and Bridge Officer console slots. For balanced MMO purposes, you can allot a special Registry number or Title so that other players know you're not flying a standard ship, but an Advanced Custom ship that has 50 Beams, 90 torpedoes, and 100 bridge officer consoles on it. They should stay away. I wouldn't even mind paying for an "Advanced Unlock Option."
LONG: Free-For-All-Sector-Space
Create a sector space that's primarily a free-for-all area, meaning every enemy and every player in one place at one time - no ques or looking for entrypoints. Once you enter, it's a free-for-all like an enemy signal contact. Hirogens, Romulans, Klingons, Undine, etc., all in one place fighting each other. Pick a target. Maybe PvP, too without the ques. Let it be a real mess and call it WARPED SECTOR SPACE.
Short term: Rura Pente' in the Klingon empire is just a system to enter but not do much there but get a warning to not approach the planet Rura Pente'. I had an idea that Rura pente' could be used in part of the pvp open territory as a place to put captured Federation and any playable factions captains to where they have to remain until they fight a ground content or pvp match and actually win in order to be released to return back to play back on there home sector.
Mid term : The other option is to set up Rura pente' again for the idea for a place where a captured federation or any other playable race in the future could be placed as a penalty of failing a pvp match/mission or lose a pvp open territory match. To where the Captain that is imprisoned to Rura Pente' has to battle his/her way out to escape and get out of the dome shield that prevents an attempted rescue from their fleet members or friends. In order to be rescued and returned to their home Planet.
Long Term : Option 3 for Rura Pente' is to set it up as a story line for the Federation and Klingon to play as a mission to where if a Federation captain fails any mission he is sent to a Klingon Court and have a trial to where he is found guilty and sent to Rura Pente' to battle on the ground with prisoners of the Klingon Empire in the prison and then has to battle Klingon guards to make his way out of the prison escape from the prison and travel out of the Klingon shield dome that prevents beaming out in order to be rescued.
Klingon story line is to hold the trial of the federation captain that failed any mission and then be the Klingon Commander in charge of the prison and try to prevent the federation player from escaping the prison and to track the federation down to the outside of the shield dome and try again to prevent the federation player from beaming off the the planet of Rura Pente'.
This is just an I dea I had since I had watched the Movie Star Trek VI Undiscovered Country 1986 when Kirk and MCcoy were sentenced and sent to Rura Pente' and had to escape from the planet Rura Pente'.
Just thought this would be a good content for both factions in the game already and make it more interesting game play.
short
add a simple console comand like /intro to replay the intro from spock for the sector your in
medium
move the pivit point back in the galaxy to stop the power slide effect that ruins the feel of the handling of the galaxy
long
might be in all ready and I missed it but q content story mission
Short Term: I want ship board missions. Perhaps, as part of the exploration encounter system.
Mid Term: I want live game events to help make it feel like a living world rather than a static environment. Perhaps, a Borg attack on Earth Station (boarding parties and space) one night, as an example?
First off, I want to address all the things I like that have been added since launch. There's actually a lot of new content to discuss; Cryptic has been doing a pretty good job so far.
Difficulty Slider and Death Penalty- The new difficulty system is spot on. I honestly can't think of anything that would need to be improved at this time.
Memory Alpha- The improvements to STO's crafting system are going in the right direction. What needs improvement- More R&D categories and items available for crafting would be the obvious factor for improving MA/crafting. Also, there really needs to be a separate storage system for data samples so that they don't eat up half of the player's inventory space (especially with the addition of these new 'rare' samples). Speaking of which...
Scanner 'Game'- The new scanner-wavelength system is a perfect example of how some simple puzzle solving action can greatly improve the interactions between character and environment. What needs improvement- There needs to be variety to the new scanner game- in other words, there needs to be multiple types of scanner mini-games. Maybe we could at least have a different type of mini-game for each of the three sample types (physical, energy, technology)? In the long run, I would also like to see this type of mini-game interaction added to all functional objects in the player's environment (ex. consoles and computers).
Off-Duty Outfits- The more customization options in a game, the better. Keep adding more content in this field.
New Mission Content- Same observation as above, what's been added so far is great and I hope to see a lot more of of it in the future.
Ship Interiors- As this is/was one of the most popular requests by subscribers, ship interiors were bound to be introduced at some point. Still, it was a pleasant surprise to see the amount and detail of interior space added with Season Two. What needs improvement-Two things- functionality and customization. We need things to do in-ship besides taking a stroll. At the same time, I want to be able to customize the look of my ships interior. Different general styles like the one's available for ship bridges would be great, and it would be nice to fully change the look and layout of my personal captain's quarters and office (this is where displayable trophies might come into play). Also, I want to be able to click+sit in chairs and on couches throughout my ship.
Diplomacy and Multi-Path Storylines- The diplomacy system is a good start, but it needs to be greatly expanded.
And now, my requests for the future.
Short Term
As always, Bug Fixing- One very important thing here: Stop the AI From Referring to RAs as Lower Level/Upper Level. It sounds awful. Better yet, just make RA a regular ten-grade rank. Lighting needs to be tweaked as well.
Do Something with the New 'Rare Data Samples- I don't know what, but there needs to be something. Detailed info about all the data sample types would be welcome as well.
Yet More Character Creator Options- I would greatly appreciated some medium length and loose-curly/wavy hair options.
Mid Term
Bridge Officer Improvements-
a. Overhaul the BO skill system. It's awful.
b. Allow for higher rank BO abilities on ships. For example, instead of Commander, Lt. Commander, Lt., Ensign, Lt., top tier cruisers should at least have something like Commander, Lt. Commander, Lt. Commander, Lt., Lt. Commander.
c. Special BO assignments- First Officer, Division Chief, Chief Doctor and so forth.
More Social Locations- Do something like the ship interiors I described above for important planets (like Earth) and it should work fine. And more mini-games!
Expand on the Storyline with the Mystery Ship from 'The Maze'-Please. I must know more!
re: Klingon Cultural Databace in game
by Korax ZHantI' Solizarn on Wed Jul 28, 2010 2:25 pm
Qapla Warriors of Kahless,
I have an idea to give Klingons the opertunity to learn of the vast culture we have avalable to us. Klingons have alotta if info on our history, rites & rituals, foods & Drink, songs & games, Festivels & Hollodays, Great Warriors of our past, the formation of Klingon Goverment & Polatics over the ages. All one needs to do it google any of these topics to see what i mean. I prapose the creation of a Klingon Cultural Databace terminal in game, possibly infront banister of the 1st ramp leading up to the higher lvls of the Great hall. It could be set up as the exchange marks terminals are. Catagories would be set up for the different topics for easy access given the wide variety of them. Much like the different weapons catagories are. Placing it infront of that ramp would make it easy to find since klingons are facing that ways when they 1st beem in.
You may ask "what would this do for the game Korax?" Well tell you, it would help to enhance the emertion factor of the game. it would show Klingons where they came from, what our mighty race has acomplished and endored. It would show that we are not just mindless killers out only for blood, but a viberent civilization with meaningfull rites and ritual that help define True Klingon Honor. We talk of singing songs of our great victories in battle. there ARE Klingon songs out there. these could be in the databace aswell to be heard & inspire Klingons. Kahless sead "We Klingons do not fight mearly to spill blood, we fight to enrich the spiret". The Klingon Cultural Databace could help to enrich spirets with the knolage of the proud & diverce people they come from. it would help to build Klingon pride. the community has been asking for more Klingon content & Season 2 has given that in greatly. This is another way to add content, and the great thing is , ITS ALREADY OUT THERE, no long hours thinking up new stuff. just cut, copy, paste and ba-da-bing, you got the Klingon Cultural Databace. Ok, it might not be that easy but you get what i'm saying. A shorter production time since the content already exists, CBS may be awiar of it already so aproval from this might go easyer to. I know they okked the use of some songs already, i've heard them in "Bringong down the house" at the bat'leth compitision at the end of the mission.
thank you for time, Qapla

I have no idea if someone from cryptic is even reading this thread or not, but here are my thoughts.
Short term
- Ship Interior functionality.
- Let us assing our BOs to Chief Medical officers, First Officers, Navigators, Chief Engineers, and so on, and set them on their appropiate positions inside the Ship.
- Let us go to the Sickbay when we (or our BOs) are wounded, and let the Chief Medical Officer tread the wounds, the same for engineering and ship damage.
- From the Navigation Console on the Bridge we could access Sector Space. (Just activate the console on the Bridge to get to Sector Space)
- We could steer our Ships in combat through the Tactical Console.(Just activate the console on the Bridge to get to tactical view.)
- We could Improve Ships performance through some minigames on Engineering.
- Transporter room: let us compose our away team here.
- Hallways/Rooms: lower the ceiling about 40%, you don't have to reduce the size of the floors just lower the ceilings. It's like running around inside a old gothic Cathedral.
- Tailor.
- give us a shininess slider for Uniforms, i hate those leather uniforms.
Mid term
- Remake Sector Space.
There are some really great ideas on this Forum discussing this case.
Sector Space feels like flying inside a shoebox at the moment.
- More options at the Ship Editor.
- Give us lower Tier Ship Parts to choose from. There are some great models there already.
- Give us the ability to Strech/shrink ship Parts for more diversity, and to get some proportions right. Cryptics design is not everyones taste. It would be enough if it would be just 20-30% in every axis. (I would love to reduche the neck of my Galaxy class for some %, to make it look more futuristic.)
- Slow down space combat, make it more tactical.
- you are way to fast dead after you loose shields, so increasing hull strenght about x5 (just a rough guess) and increasing all timers about 3x (again, a rough guess) would make combat far more tactical. A player had to actually THINK about what power he/she should activate to survive/win. So not the one who can spam key faster would win fights, but the one who thinks smarter.
- Get rid of cartoonishness. No more holes on ships (pylons, for example), make ship parts less edgy.
Long term
- More Factions.
Dominion, Borg, Cardassians, Ferengi (free merchants), there are more than enough to choose from.
- More Sectors, we need a bigger universe in a long term.
- More Ships.
Again add more diversity, not everyone likes edgy shapes, or holes on pylons, for example.
- More diverse Diplomatic missions.
- More Fleet Actions and other free co-op styled missions. (not STFs which are resrticted to 5 players only.)
Short term
Vo'rcha refit for tier 6 or as a General's version of the famous battlecruiser. Hopefully make it look a bit bigger same design with a better turn rate than the captain's version. Only reason I say this is the Negh'var turns way better than the current Vor'cha in the game. Even though the stats say other wise.
Mid term
Make the Refit Vor'cha customizable so you can change the look. For example you could change the hull to be like the Negh'Var and the mission pod to be like the Negh'var refit.
Long term
Make the refit Vor'cha or General's version of the Vor'cha have 4 foreward weapons and 4 aft weapons like the Negh'var and have a 3 tactical bridge officer's position Luietentant , LT. Cmd, Commander , Engineering same as the Negh'var 3 Bridge officer position Luietenant, LT Cmd, Commander,
Science with 3 bridge officer position ensign, LT cmd , Commander
Consoles:
Engineering 4
Science 3
Tactical 4
This would make the refit Vor'Cha better as an Offensive and a defensive ship also would be competitive to the Soveriegn class and Star Cruisers.
Make is cheaper to rename ships and characters, and customise ships/uniforms. Its just asthetics, we shouldn't have to pay so much for something that doesn't give us an advancement. (At the very least make if free to edit your NPCs).
Better descriptions so I know what I'm getting when skilling up.
Medium-Term
New ship classes, I want to see some of the cannon ships making a return, such as the Ambassador, Nebula and Excelsior classes. The Klingons need this desperatly.
Tailor options available from replicators on your ship.
Long-Term
An "unexplored sector", that includeds randomly generated systems for you to explore which lead to varios outcomes (discovering a hostile orion base, first contact with a new race, or discovering a damaged borg cube etc).
Scrap the sector system and use transwarp gates in a similar way to "jump gates" inFreelancer. Moving from one system to the next, so it feels like your actually moving acoss the galaxy. The Sector thing seems like a cheat, like you're just skipping so much.
Sort of the bloody scaling issues. World of Warcraft is 3rd Person and the scale is not out of wack on that. If only one thing got fixed it would be this. It just ruins the emergance factor for me.
New playable races. (Romulans and Cardassians)
More fleet options, raids, and guildhalls, i.e. a starbase in its own customisable system. Entry could be made using the Slipsteam Drive (and selecting it from a list of Fleet-Systems). Maybe even "Tier ?" ship classes that can only be used by Fleet Leaders, or at least only built by fleets.
PVP and PvE starship invasions like territories, capture the vital areas of the ship to "capture" the ship. Rewards could be the ability capture your oponents NPCs and/or Starship Equipment
Short-term requests
Make the dabo holo emitters unlimited use (toggle).
Add a delay to the completion conversation wondow of the scan 5x data exploration missions. (The completion window prevents us from completing the last scanning minigame)
Make dabo slightly less time consuming.
Mid-term requests
Add more stuff to Memory Alpha
More free constumes either as loot or completely free at the C-Store.
Add more dabo rewards, but NOT consumables!
Long-term requests
Redo ground combat. It sucks in it's current form, Cryptic needs to make it fun asap.
Romulan playable faction.
More Klingon PvE.
Short Term
- Starship scanning (I want to be able to scan other starships and determine their loadouts. And science vessels should be able to target components, weapons ect.)
- Customization options for the Galaxy-X (I gave 2000 Cryptic Points, I WANT TO CUSTOMIZE IT!!!! A LOT!!!!)
- A more visible mouse cursor
Mid Term
- More Vice Admiral ships (a refitted Sovereign, perhaps? Or a refited Luna?)
- More ships! Always lots of ships! GIVE US SHIPS!
- More diplomatic missions.
Long Term
- Add shuttles to the game. A ship could carry several, based on its size and crew. There would be several types of shuttles, like that DS9 runabout we can buy. There would be shuttle missions, meaning that some missions would require the player to use the shuttle: dogfights with other shuttles and fighters for klingons, tricky flights, even races, like that race in a Voyager episode. Finally, you could give players an option: land on a planet with a shuttle (minigame) and receive several bonuses ("a permanent" base on planet) with the risk of losing the shuttle if they die.
- Add boarding actions, not as ground combat, but as a simple strategy minigame (it would take at most 1-2 min to complete). If you lose shields on a side, the enemy can board you. You have to deploy your security teams to destroy boarders. He can either destroy the ship, sabotage components, or kill crew (obviously it is for PvE mostly).
- Add the Romulans. PLEEEEEEEEEASE!
the ui interface to be changable with different styles of inbuilt ui, the curser to be changable and possible made bigger and smaller through option.
Mid term,
gaming periferals fully intergrated into the game to allow the use of g boards, z boards, gaming mice and flight sim style joysticks for in space combat and piloting.
Long term,
sandbox planets, upto 3 planets fully roamable and able to build upon them, to incorperate playerhousing and fleet housing, player created ground quests and towns and citys including outpost made and upheld by players, 3 types of planet, klingon, federation and pvp. the pvp planets to be buildable on by both factions but also destroyable by the other faction, protection provided by modified ship weps and shields.
a neutral faction neither federation nor klingon, can be any race, mercs if wished. options to have scrapyard ships, they can pull parts from killed ships to build ships of there own to there own design, limits are hull mass, crew size and console slots, you can only use so many of each and the warp cores will only allow a set ammount of power to be built into the ships, if to high the ships have a chance of blowing up in combat and destroying some of the parts used to create the ships. this is to stop inbalanced ship design.
this is to be a fully pvp faction and shall only be able to build on the pvp planet but will be able to raid the other 2 factions planets, this faction is hostile to both federation and klingons with only a few select people from each faction willing todo buisness with them, section 31 offers quests to them for dirty work that isnt to be blamed on the federation and some klingon dude who hates everything but wants the war to go on to do his dirty work too.
Mid-Term:
* Costumes from all series/movies: Enterprise, TMP, Future/All Good Things, MACO, Dress uniforms (all series)
* Races: Denobulan, Talaxian, etc.
* Lower the ceilings in ship interiors
* Ability to select uniforms for generic crew members aboard your ship
* Ability to assign BOs to stations (Chief Medical in Sick Bay, Engineer in Engineering, OPS, CONN, etc.)
* Ship interior functionality/missions on board the ship
* I would like to see a reorganization of mission contacts. I'm tired of always clicking on the same old contacts just to see if there is anything new. Perhaps you could toggle contacts on/off or be alerted when there is something new.
* More non-combat mission variations/more variation on cluster missions.
All-in-all, I am VERY impressed with the job the devs have done. Keep up the good work!
Short Term:
1. Fix as many of the typos in the various dialogues as you can
2. Add the option to remove trails from starships
3. Make Quantum Slipstream Drive a toggle instead of a 30 sec burst
4. Reduce Mk XI gear emblem prices to reasonable levels
5. Remove the possibility for some NPC medics to revive someone who has been vaporized, cause, yeah, I'm pretty sure you aren't coming back from that.
6. Freeze NPC AI during transport. It kills immersion to see my officers moving behind me before they're even done materializing (or to see them pull out their tribble as we beam out, which then hovers there for a second after dematerialization finishes)
Mid Term:
1. Make a pass at polishing Exploration missions - some of them have races behaving in ways that don't make sense - example: the Borg would never covertly build a base to observe and manipulate a sentient species, they would just assimilate them or ignore them
2. Scale down ship interiors to proper sizes so I don't feel like my ship was designed for people four times as big as I am
3. Add customizable crew uniforms
4. Add the hallmark red-yellow-blue light streams to the sector map when you're in motion - doesn't feel like warp without it
5. Allow us to assign positions to our BOs (First Officer, Chief Engineer, etc) and have that affect where they sit on our bridge (or elsewhere on the ship; the Chief Medical Officer should be in Sickbay, not on the bridge unless you have him assigned to a science station). I don't want to see ensigns sitting in the First Officer's chair on my bridge.
6. Give us long, loose pants textures that actually match the uniform tops we have, please
7. Redo the kit art so that the high level kits don't make you look like a borg when you put one on. I'd like to show my kit, and the Mk I-II kits look awesome, but it all slides downhill from there.
8. Allow us to turn off the blue holograms on weapons. Or better yet, allow us to pick what weapon model we want to use - some of the phaser rifles (phaser pulse rifle, for example) don't look like Starfleet technology at all.
Long Term:
1. More non-combat missions for Fed PvE, please. I'd like to see more missions like Quarantine, actually, where you have to solve a problem, but really, any non-combat mission is a good mission.
2. Reduce ground health values across the board (both players and NPCs) so that 1-2 shots when your personal shields are down will incapacitate someone. It doesn't make sense that I can shoot someone 20 times when their shields are down and they still keep coming.
3. Redo the interior of Earth Spacedock so that it feels larger - add more rooms, add more doors that go nowhere, change the layout so that it actually feels like the major hub that it is, etc
4. Add more ship interiors and give them functionality as several others have already suggested
5. Add a system to enable us to decorate our quarters in our ship
6. Give Tier 5 ships Lt. Cmdr stations for non specialties. For example, a star cruiser should have one commander engineering station, one lieutenant engineering station, one lieutenant commander tactical station, one lieutenant commander science station, and one ensign science station.
I only have one request at the moment so I can't do a top 3... and I don't know how soon it could be done though I would expect that it's probable to be done short term, that is to add the ability to switch characters without logging out and logging back in.
Add a delay to the completion conversation wondow of the scan 5x data exploration missions. (The completion window prevents us from completing the last scanning minigame)
- Captain Var. "Bomberjacks" and/or Dress Uniforms
- TMP Uniforms, ENT Uniforms, "The Cage" Uniforms
- Keep away team in uniform. I hate seeing them in body armor. Esp. when I've used Cyp Points to get
them looking the way I want.
Mid Term
- Adding Excelsior, Oberth, Nebula, Ambassador, Souyz, New Orleans classes to playable statis
- Ability to move 90 degrees up or down when in space combat
- A "hotkey" to target next closest target
Long Term
- A reason to actually walk around my bridge (and want to spend C-Points to change it)
- Assign to a Science Office to Chief Medical Officer, and specialized Training in that field.
- Able to go to my Quarters. Decorate how I want, and see my status and achievements,
First of all, at this point I would like to say I regret buying a lifetime membership. The direction STO is headed is not where I would like to see it go. That being said, on to goals.
Short Term:
Change sector space turns back to the old way. The longer turns are nothing but a pain. Why did my ship suddenly stop turning quickly in sector space? Should I space my helmsman? Or should I go do a strafing run on that starbase that I just put in at for repairs? There has to be some reason my ship suddenly can't turn. Maybe I could see it if I was traveling faster or something. Why not make the turns suck when you are going at ludicris speed instead of normal warp?
Mid Term:
I would like to see the STFs go to a difficulty slider like the other missions. People in fleets, with a communications system (like vent, or team speak) who have decent gear are going to blow through STFs. Get over it. Casual players are never going to match the builds, gear and organization of the more hardcore player base. There are people who have never finished an STF. With the new changes they never will. Set the normal, advanced, and elite slider for the team leader to increase or decrease the difficulty of STFs. Its not fun when STFs take longer because they are harder. I enjoy a challenge, don't take this the wrong way, but, for me to try and help fleetmates get upgrades, and now have to deal with Borg who suddenly are more powerful, faster, and everything else just doesn't make sense. Have the old STFs as the "Normal" settings and go from there for the different difficulties.
Long Term:
More to do. More to do, more to do, more missions, more missions, more missions, different missions, different missions. Make them FEEL DIFFERENT. It seems like the same TRIBBLE, repackaged over and over and over and over. You have made a beautiful game, and have ruined it with flat 2d feeling missions and lack of content. Put in quality content and more of it please.
- Keep away team in uniform. I hate seeing them in body armor. Esp. when I've used Cyp Points to get
them looking the way I want.
If you right-click on the armor in the status/equip screen, you can "hide" the armor. That way, the characters will still be wearing the armor, but you won't see it.
Fix the level scaling of Deep Space Encounters. I don't like getting instantly vaporized in a DSE that's supposed to be my level.
Increase the amount your stats raise by getting better equipment (for example, moving from a Mk II Phaser Rifle to a Mk IV Phaser Rifle will increase your damage by more than the 3 DPS it currently raises it by). Same applies to your ship's systems.
Add the ability to have your ship automatically circle its target until you cancel it or the ship is destroyed.
Mid-Term:
Add playable ships for both the Federation and the KDF from member species (for example, the Vulcan Ring Ship for the Federation and an Orion Raider for the KDF).
Time travel missions. Maybe you could add missions that allow the player to go back in time (or simulations that allow the player to do so) and take part in missions from all five Trek series (or maybe all of them excluding Voyager, as we would have no means to get to where Voyager was in the Delta Quadrant).
Change it so ships can travel, and turn, faster.
Long-Term:
Add an Admiral rank (four-star Admiral) with more ships to choose from.
Allow the player to select which rank type they want to be referred by. For example, Captain (Naval) or Colonel (Marine). This is selectable at character creation (although existing characters can change it once) and cannot be changed afterwards.
Display an on-screen warning whenever an enemy is near you that is much stronger than you are. I don't like Klingons pulling the Picard maneuver on me and vaporizing me before I've got any idea what's going on.
1.more story based missions for both factions, alot more
2.a ferengi faction with ships and ferengi story missions
3.new grownd weapons, especiale mele weapons, even an old branch is a good weapon..lol
First off id like to say that STO is a great MMORPG and is by far the best one i've played. STO's graphics is stylish, unique, and really brings the Star Trek universe to life. Furthermore, character models have unprecedented life-like appearances and animations that you can't help but stare at them in awe. Missions in STO are diverse enough that i have yet to begin feeling bored and battles are intense and challenging both on ground and in space. Really, if all games were made this way, the world would be a better place. Nevertheless, as a hardcore gamer i always expect more from my games and lucky for me STO has a place on the forum for me to voice my suggestions, which shows that they are willing to listen to the players to help improve and grow their game to be the ultimate Star Trek game. So here are my suggestions:
1.I'd like to see a more dynamic universe. This means that players can fight each other and claim planets/systems/sectors for their faction, be it the Federation or the Klingon Empire. This will certainly add new meaning to patrol missions where sending fleets and ships to patrol borders are essential to the well-being of the entire faction. Players will then have a real sense of danger for fear of their territory being overrun by the opposiing faction. The result is an ever changing dynamic universe where territories are constantly switching hands much like how it was in the game Starfleet Command.
2. I'd love to be able to command my starship from the bridge. To be able to issue commands and watch your crew react to them is what being a starship captain is about. Additionally, every mission should begin at the bridge's view screen: as in the case of most Star Trek episodes, a problem arises, the starship is being hailed, and the matter is brought to the attention of the captain on the bridge. This is not to say that we should forego the tactical view but there should be the option to choose which view point you want to do missions/combat in. In my opinion, doing space battles from the bridge is entirely possible and can be really fun. Although the view can be a little limiting, but with the aid of auto-targeting there should be nothing that you can't hit with a good sense of timing.
3. More computerized voice-overs. I am finding myself turning on the combat suggestions just to hear more voice-overs. However, i am not so sure that by giving every bridge officer a voice-over would not be annoying, as they would likely become repetitive after a while. However, the monotonous voice of the computer doesnt seem to be intrusive and adds wonders to the immersion factor, so i suggest adding more of those. By the way, the voice-over of the Dabo girl on DS9 needs fixing as it doesn't appear originating from the girl but instead has a omnipresent quality to it. Please fix it so it originates from the girl and preferably with matching animations.
4. I'd like to see more puzzle-solving missions like "Quarantine". I think i've spent nearly an hour solving the puzzle in quarantine just to create a cure for my infected crew and i can still remember the steps i took to solve it. A good mission should be memorable like this, even though there were no action/battle i consider it time well spent. So more puzzles please.
4. I'd like to see more mini-games. There is something about mini-games that makes a game more immersive. You are playing a mini-game inside a main-game and when you come out of the mini-game does it make the main-game more of a reality? Works for me, but id like to see more games like the Dabo game or the scanner game, if nothing else they serve to add more variety to the game and keep your wits sharp and reaction quick.
Comments
Mid: native lifeforms prevalent on planets, with side missions and encounters.
Long: STO lasts for years to come.... with frequent episodes and seasons.

That's all for now.
Love the game.
Just thought this would be a good content for both factions in the game already and make it more interesting game play.
add a simple console comand like /intro to replay the intro from spock for the sector your in
medium
move the pivit point back in the galaxy to stop the power slide effect that ruins the feel of the handling of the galaxy
long
might be in all ready and I missed it but q content story mission
Medium: A private HQ for fleets
Long: More civilizations
Mid Term: I want live game events to help make it feel like a living world rather than a static environment. Perhaps, a Borg attack on Earth Station (boarding parties and space) one night, as an example?
Long Term: I want a playable Romulan faction.
What needs improvement- Two things- functionality and customization.
Expand on the Storyline with the Mystery Ship from 'The Maze'- Please. I must know more!
Long Term
My previous long-term requests still stand: http://forums.startrekonline.com/showpost.php?p=2322199&postcount=1190

- Tailor.
Mid term
- Remake Sector Space.
Sector Space feels like flying inside a shoebox at the moment.
- More options at the Ship Editor.
- Get rid of cartoonishness. No more holes on ships (pylons, for example), make ship parts less edgy.
Long term
- More Factions.
- More Sectors, we need a bigger universe in a long term.
- More Ships.
- More diverse Diplomatic missions.
- More Fleet Actions and other free co-op styled missions. (not STFs which are resrticted to 5 players only.)
Thank you for reading.
- New food item: Celular Peptide Cake ... with mint frosting.
Medium-Term
Long-Term
* Fix the typso, er...typos.
Mid-Term:
* Costumes from all series/movies: Enterprise, TMP, Future/All Good Things, MACO, Dress uniforms (all series)
* Races: Denobulan, Talaxian, etc.
YES YES YES
Decorate how I want, and see my status and achievements,
Short Term: I want a Chase Masterson pin up for my ready room.
Medium: I want to be able to fish for exotic fish on Risa and be able to beam them into the aquarium tank within the ships ready room.
Long: I want to be able to pilot shuttle craft onto and off the ship.
Thanks
If you right-click on the armor in the status/equip screen, you can "hide" the armor. That way, the characters will still be wearing the armor, but you won't see it.
Mid-Term:
Long-Term:
2.a ferengi faction with ships and ferengi story missions
3.new grownd weapons, especiale mele weapons, even an old branch is a good weapon..lol
1. I'd like to see a more dynamic universe.
