The British Starfleet Corps, part of the BSC Gaming Community, is proud to announce the opening of our brand new Star Trek Online branch!

Why join us?
  • Gaming community established in 2002, with branches in multiple MMO's.
  • Events commonly run in GMT time, but not exclusively.
  • Branch leaders dedicated to their MMO.
  • Mature members from all over the world, ranging in age from 16 to over 50.

Enough! How do I join?
The best thing to do would be to sign up at our community site and post in the Star Trek Online section! You'll find the link below. You can also send me or Zap-Robo a PM, or leave a post in this topic detailing why you'd like to join us.

We also now have an in-game chat channel! Open up your chat tab, click on Channels, and then type in BSC to come and have a chat if you're interested in joining, or just generally hang out with us!

    Rip-roaring start last night! Good to see so many old and new friends... and can't wait to get out of the Miranda-class into a proper starship!

    Nice to see the Ventrilo server under heavy use as well :D

    I joined BSC during Open Beta and played with them until the end of it, and had some really great times.
    When the headstart launched I was just sitting on Vent waiting eagerly for the game to launch so I could play with my new friends there.
    They are all a nice bunch, firendly and helpfull, and I allready feel like I have been part of the communtiy for a long time.

    Had some great fun with you gys last night, and everything went smooth for me.
    Looking forward to more fun.

    Hehe yeah, we had a great start to live STO last night indeed! Upwards of 20 people on the Vent server even if some could only listen in, plenty of jokes, a lot of laughs, and discussions about Ladies TV and our Dear Leader... You really had to be there ;)

    The fleet is looking good already, might try and organise a fleet screenshot today!

    Well, we're going for a Fleet Screenie @ 1900hrs today - and if you're not a member of the BSC, then you're unlikely to be invited!

    We're a great friendly group of gamers, with experience across a wide-range of games - I was with the BSC back in Earth and Beyond during its inception as a guild, for example.

    We've had a great number of new and experienced players join us since we've opened up a Star Trek Online branch and I reckon you want to be a part of it.

    Because to not be part of it... well it just wouldn't be British!

    Well, the fleet picture last night was a great bit of fun considering we timed it perfectly with the server instability... Still, we're having another attempt tonight and if you're interested you can see the results of last night by clicking here.

    We've had a great start to the... umm... headstart... and I'm so pleased with how well everyone is getting on, BSC members old and new mingling together like we've all known each other for years!

    Now I just have to kill you all for out-levelling me... Some of us have to work you know! ;)

    Oh, and Daevian, why are you looking in the wrong direction? You know left-mouse drag spins the camera without spinning you? Maybe you can face front this evening!

    I'd like to join the BSC fleet. Sounds like a very good group and that joining it means I can get the most out of the STO experience and can help the fleet out in any way they need.

    I am also British so the name got my attention first :) you also have a cool insignia. One more thing, is it an RP fleet?

    Zap, I didn't realise... I'm used to holding down the right button to move the camera. D'oh!

    Minty, we have members who are interested in RP so I'm sure some will go on, but we're not a dedicated RP fleet. If you'd like to join wander over to www.bsc-portal.com and post a hello in the STO Recruitment section :)

    Ok, so our second attempt at taking a fleet screenie didn't go according to plan because of server problems and queues, so that's going to get re-scheduled. We're still happy to accept applications from yet more nutters who want in on making a silly screenshot at some point and having a laugh in fleet chat! I've had some good times on the Vent server too.

    I'm so happy with the way things are going for the BSC. All you guys who have joined recently are above my wildest expectations and I'm proud to call you my fleetmates!

    Im from the uk also, and have been looking for a UK fleet to join. From what ive read on here, I would like to join you.....if ever the server gets back up lol!

    Well, due to the server problems the Fleet Photo MkII didn't take place... but that means that if you join us now you get to put your face into it as well!

    As he said though, fleet screenshot take three will probably be this weekend so if you'd like to get yourself on it just let us know ;)

    Well, its been an up and down time with the impromptu downtimes of the server, but at least with the BSC you can relax on our forums (which don't die with an inlux of people looking for dev posts) or on our Ventrilo server (always plenty of BSC Members to gripe about the downtime with!)

    Looks like we'll be running our first Fleet event - a Fleet Action this Friday. Not long for you all to sign up with us and get on our forums to reserve a spot!

    Only one more day to sign up for some BSC fleet action. If you're already a fleet member, what are you doing on the recruitment thread? It you're not a fleet member, what are you waiting for?

    Have to say guys, that fleet pewpew was a whole heap of fun! 40 of us just invading two instances was amazing! I just hope Cryptic add more ways to "lock" an instance to a fleet if we can keep this sort of thing up, just to make it easier to get together :)

    Membership is climbing quite nicely... If anyone wants to check out how many members we have online when they play, all you have to do is open up your social tab (default key O) and in the search bit do a quick search for British Starfleet Corps. That will pull up a list of everyone who is online at the time, giving you an indicator of how many fleet members you'll have available to relax and have fun with.

    Our leadership structure is finally geting into place and one of our Fleet Events guys is already planning some stuff for next week, so it's a great time to join the BSC!

    Do you have exclusively British members? I'm looking for a fleet, I'm British too but I prefer the idea of an international kinda fleet... it's always good to meet people from other countries and stuff.

    Also I really enjoy RPing, I read that you have some guys who are into it but I'm not sure if it's that prevalent or anything, would be great if you could clear that up a bit :)

    It sounds good though, I have a (British) friend also on the game who will no doubt be interested in joining too ;)

    No, we're not exclusively British :) The name was picked by a vote in the community, and despite us mentioning it most of our american cousins wanted to keep with the British name too. We have people from all over Europe and the Americas with us currently.

    As for RP, we definitely have people into it (I dabble myself) and I envisage organising some RP events for those who want to take part, but at the moment the majority just seem concerned with learning the game and trying not to get too frustrated with server problems so I'm holding off on that right now!

    cool m8 im currently looking for a fleet to join cos my War Guild isnt coming to STO :(
