You do realize that most people involved in a game do not visit the forums. So they may have the desire to play but simply did not register until the contest. These types of contests usually get the lurkers to register in droves. So the fact that they haven't posted doesn't surprise me in the least.

Boo. It just would have been so perfect if I had won, being as huge a Trek fan as I am. Now I gotta save up to dish out hundreds of dollars for a lifetime sub at launch? Not ideal.

A few weeks ago, we announced that five lucky members of the Star Trek Online community would receive copies of STO and lifetime subscriptions to the game. We had more than 18,000 entries, and are pleased to announce the winners!

Cryptic got the baton, I started saving $20 bucks a paycheck.
So regardless I will have enough saved to be a lifetime member three times over.

This is jacked. Of the 5 who won. Only 2 have posted. 2 have never made any posts and according the the user search function 1 is an invalid user.
Knew I wasn't going to win. Would have been nice to actually see some names I see around the forums though.

Am I the only one who remembers Jack saying that Cryptic always puts it's Forum users first.:mad: Seems to me they should have at least had a minimum post requirement to win. At least 10 or so, that way you know the winners are at least fans of the game and not just people looking for a hand out.
Cryptic really dropped the ball on this one. 1st time I lost a lil respect for my favorite game company.
congrats to the lucky 5. would have been sweet to win, who knows maybe they do this again someday and we have a few more winners. till then I keep checking for the relase date of the game and hope it will be soon.
