Guardian is Invincible

Issue: After getting the information from the data mainframe and talking to Worf afterwards we go down the hallway to fight the Guardian but after draining it of its shield and health the guardian would not die.
I have tried restarting the client, dropping the mission and starting over again, tried changing instances but there's only one, and I did the mission on a different character and they did it just fine.

Update: I believe due to my low level the game bugs out and for some reason makes the enemies invincible because I changed to a different mission and the first group of enemies are invincible

That sounds like an old bug that sometimes crops up, gets fixed, then breaks out somewhere else that has been rattling around for years.

Last time I saw it, it broke the mission Smoke and Mirrors because the heroes run into a blockade where they have to fight their way through, but the enemies would keep fighting after their shields and health were gone so that mission step would never end. Whatever the devs did to fix that mission would probably fix that guardian in Sphere of Influence.

It happened on another mission at about the same time, and others before that somewhere else, but I don't know the details since I didn't happen to play those particular ones at the time, and from other's comments at the time Smoke and Mirrors was bugged, it has cropped up from time to time for most of the game's life. Usually, it is fixed within somewhere between a few weeks to a few months, and I usually just do some other mission string (or did, the map change dump bug has got so irritating that for the last year or two I have only been doing the events and particular missions that have the gear I need for a particular build) until they get it fixed.
