It's been 7 years since Discovery began. Loved it or Loathed it, it certainly paved a way for new Trek. Happy Birthday ST: Discovery.

    Aye, indeed - Happy Birthday!

Whilst I haven't always enjoyed every aspect of the show, it was mostly very enjoyable - something that could be said for any era of Star Trek. (I recall similar comments from fandom during TNG, DS9 & Voyager!)

But without Discovery, we wouldn't have Strange New Worlds, Lower Decks, Prodigy, or Picard - that same could be said where each show has it's good points, and annoyances, but all make for enjoyable Star Trek.

Our favourite game has been richly blessed with content that has come from and/or been inspired by these shows.

I'll admit, the first two seasons were interesting. after that it turned into generic 2000s sci fi with a star trek badge slapped on it

Exactly. The jump also wasted all of the potential of the backgrounds of the characters.

I didn't like it, but some things that came from it. Though I'll never forget the cringey Musk-simping in it - so very dated reference... pig-27.gif

The most worthwhile thing Disco did was pave the way for Strange New Worlds. Other than that it can be safely ignored.
