STO muted when attempting to use TV speakers

As the title illustrates, STO refuses to play any sound over my TV's speakers, despite me using it as my main monitor. I have set the TV's speakers as the sound output device on both STO and my laptop. There is nothing wrong with my TV, as it plays sound for videos and other games just fine.

Any idea as to why STO refuses to play sound over my TV speakers?

    EDIT: I set the speaker volume to 0, reopened the game, set the volume to max, and Star Trek Online volume settings appeared, which were set to 0 for some weird reason. I set them to 100. Soblem prolved! 😁
