Ok, who keeps a cheat sheet?

I like a clean desk, but i always end up wasting 20 minutes when the endeavor is 150,000 XXXX damage, because I can't remember which girl has the TRIBBLE weapons on a ship, and if i remember it's Minerva that has the polaron ship, which ship IS it??

so how you do keep track? or do you fumble around searching like I do?

It helps some if you have faction weapons on some of your matching characters - Fed/phaser, Rom/plasma, Jem/polaron, KDF/phaser...but then who has the antiproton and tetryon??? :)

I remember some energy types but some I have to go character by character to check.

I really should make that cheat sheet.

I used to do that, but most of the time it's just easier to bolt on a random weapon of that type (usually a mk xii left over from Reputations) or swap a hangar out (if ship has one) for 50k and 150k, and I can usually get it knocked out in a single TFO. The 300k I can usually get by with doubling that to two weapons.

I actually use a spreadsheet for my 50+ characters.

For me I have my main toon that does a bit of everything. For the others I typically try to keep them set to a specific energy type as a fun theme element, but change it up depending on needs. For my main toon I usually just keep a few cheapo beams I keep in my bank for when I need to do energy specific stuff. Just depends on the situation I guess. Funny enough sometimes I'll forget where I've got certain things and then discover it again months later. I've done that with box ships, promo ships, lobi, weapons, you name it. So I guess i'm an organized disorganized mess XD

I have a ship flavoured on each weapon bar Proton on my main. Don't need a sheet for that though. All my other toons just have one main ship flavoured for their faction weapons.

I have enough ships on my main to have different ships devoted to specific weapon types.

I just swap at the shipyard and I'm off to the races.

I've chosen certain account unlocked ships to devote to each main energy damage type across all my characters so I can 'endeavour' freely on any of them. Same goes for all characters having at least one ground weapon of each damage type too.

I do keep notes about various other things though. Like a new character things to do/claim list, an Exchange item search list and keeping track of those consumable Research Assignment missions. Which Rep/Lobi items each has already to hopefully never buy the same item twice on the same character. Laptop notes instead of on paper though.

I sometimes think I should start a spreadsheet!

Regarding damage type, I just remember it.

Now, with items, it's a different story. I can waste well over an hour to find that one training manual infinity box. But that's STO's fault, they should be binding to one's account on pick-up, not to the character. :)

For the most part I remember it as well, however my main does have at least one ship per damage type, and after that old event that gave the Cyclic Modulation guns, ground damage endeavors are a non issue on any character.

The other events have also provided many of the weapon types. I can easily reclaim the anti-Borg gun (with polaron and tetryon damage), some nano-disruptor dual pistols and mirror phaser dual pistols.

That covers most of the weapon types. Plasma and AP are things I use on multiple characters.

Space is trickier. But it helps that I have a toon that uses all sorts of different torpedoes by default. Phaser, AP, disruptor, kinetic, polaron are all covered by the same toon. I think I have at least three others that have the trait that deals plasma damage in a shockwave upon killing something.

Tetryon is the only damage type that I rarely use, but that makes it easy to remember where I do use it. Most of my drain toons have at least the console from the Mirror Nebula, which deals tetryon damage in all directions (besides enhancing drain abilities).

Usually it's sufficient to queue for a private Cure Found, wait 15 seconds for the briefing, put your ship underneath one of the cubes and then click that console. The endeavour generally completes within 2 seconds.

I have so many characters and the new things that need notes have gotten complex enough that I should probably use a spreadsheet, but I have so far just added things to a Writer document that was originally meant as a quick reference for the RP and build ideas that went into the characters along with the direction I wanted to take them role and gear wise.

It covers most situations more or less, except for finding objects, which can take a while. I do have a character with a "merchant" background on both of my accounts that I use a lot of the bank expansions from events and whatnot on, that are sort of a mnemonic place to put the overflow from the account bank, but I am a bit sloppy with doing that because of time constraints on some days and items get lost in the inventories/banks of other characters sometimes.

A kind of sidenote to the faction energies, while in STO Orions tend to use disrupters they actually use phasers in the shows so if anyone needs a canon user of phasers in the KDF there is one.

only thing with using the main is they get all the boxes. I try to use newer recruits, the rep drops are very helpful for the Competitive rep

each of my characters uses a specific weapon type. So thats easy to remember.
and 1 character has every beam weapon ive every collected in their bank and another has every cannon weapon Ive every collected. So its easy to find what I need.

Honestly, I do have a spreadsheet as well for my many...toons. I started it years ago when I needed to keep track of finishing events on 15-20+ toons and all of their progress. I've ended up using it since to help track set-ups, alien race sections, themes, career/set-up goals, present and past names used for toons, etc. By this point though I do remember which energy type each is focused with though.

If you're still looking for Endeavor Perks (and not just looking for extra structure to play or just the reward boxes,) it's worth noting that tomorrow on PC the Klingon Recruitment starts, which gives you extra Endeavor Perks for completing Endeavors on that character. While the account wide percent boosts to Endeavors shouldn't stack, the extra whole Perks should be grab-able on each you start up. It might even be worth considering making more than one during the Event to switch to after getting the first one through (keeping in mind you can complete the tasks whenever, not jut during the Event).

Klingon Recruitment is what stopped me from really having to keep track of who had what and on which ship, as I wanted everything on that character anyway, until all the bonuses unlocked. It turned out that just having a solid build (based around Disruptor in this case), I could switch out a weapon or two that was kinda sub-optimal and still be fine, so I just did that instead of full builds for all weapon types.

I have a notepad beside my computer. Which has numerous things written down which I cannot recall immediately. It is nearly full. All of the pages are worn and covered in coffee stains. Learned a long time ago searching through all of my chars to find that one Console I want to place on my newest ship is slower than riffling through my notepad.
