Spheres/probes being stuck in TFO Battle of Wolf 359

Twice now in my experience, the TFO has taken far longer than it should have because one of the Spheres was stuck in the Cube, sticking out just far enough to track and even target but not far enough for any of our direct weapons to hit it. Only Area of Effect could hit it, meaning we had to wear it down very, very slowly. On the second occasion, which occurred on the morning of Feb 5, one of the Assimilation Probes was similarly stuck, and in fact left the area with the Cube when we finally reached the end (about half an hour later).

For clarity's sake, I should point out that I only run the TFO once per day, to get the event points.

I have seen that happen too. In that particular case it had several gravity wells cast on it (and I added my own electric-and-spore enhanced well to the mess), and it eventually died but it did take a while.

Just had this bug, an Assimliation Probe was stuck inside the Cube, visible roaming around one of the Cube's faces, selectable, but not able to fire weapons at. This seemed to have blocked progression in the TFO as no more Assimilation Probes were being produced (19 destroyed at this point).

Fortunately one of the team had the Badlands-ion-storm-thing and was able to kill it, after which more Assimilation Probes appeared (outside the Cube) and the TFO continued as normal.

Just want to post to confirm that I saw this bug where the spheres are stuck inside the cube and not taking damage for long periods while stuck in said position just 10 minutes ago so bug persists as of 02/14/2024

Plasma storms, if anyone on the team has the ability, seem to suck them up just a touch higher where they will flicker in and out of targetability. And the mushroom gun fires through the surface of the cube and will catch spheres too, even if you cannot get a lock and they are still somewhat commonly equipped (and many people have some of the other no-lock-needed AoE abilities like Jonsills mentioned).

Still, it would be best if the devs fix the issue rather than having to use those kludges.
