Problem communicating with steam?

The launcher won't load. It comes up with 'There was a problem communicating with steam, please try again later.' Any one else have this problem? and how is it fixed? I'll try launching through the .exe and update.

I think I kind of solved it. I tried launching the game through the .exe it asked me to login again, I did and it worked. Try that then log back in and it should work.
