Joking of course, I imagine this bug has been around for years. But please remove the bundle it's not fair to cheat people who want a bridge that isn't bugged. Just remove it.
Enough people want the bridge even if they have to put up with the seating bug to leave it on the market, but apparently not quite enough to actually go back and try to fix it. So it hangs at the very bottom of the bug to-do list and will probably still be there in the same position on that list when the game "sunsets" in the (hopefully far off) future.
At some point in the past, the base floor level in all maps was lowered, which has led to this bug.
It's not massively noticed due to actual floors or ground being present for our characters to walk on, but seated NPC's often sit relative to the 'new base floor' instead of the seat they are sitting on.
The 'new base floor' is quite noticeable in the mission "Coliseum" as you currently have to jump to make the interact button appear to escape through the sewer pipe in the Romulan Base, whereas you used to be able to just walk up to the pipe and the prompt to escape would appear without having to jump.
Folks may also notice that the floor level in that pool is definitely lower, necessitating the jump.

Interesting! I wondered why that bit in Colliseum was then only bit in the game that you have to jump then press the button.
