The Vault Klingon ending

I got through the Vault and it says to "stop the enemy Ship" I killed it but it didn't explode and now there's nothing to do. After 45 minutes flying around I exited the episode. Now it won't set me go back to the Haakona System. Anyone know how to complete the episode?

Doesn't just affect Klingons. As far as I can tell there's no way to finish it, you just have to wait for a fix. I've seen a couple people say they had been able to finish it, which if true would suggest that it may be an intermittent (albeit still frequent) problem, but I haven't had that happen after several attempts.

I will say though, that it hasn't given me any trouble in re-entering the Haakona system. Logging out then back in resets the mission back to where you've exited the Vault and are getting ready to confront the Warbird, but it's the same outcome every time.

Some research suggests this is an older bug that has returned as it was being reported in 2019. I really gotta wonder how this even happens with such regularity. Their version control system (which they must have in some form if reversions are happening) must be a nightmare.

Same problem for me with a Federation character, this hasn't happened to me previously so perhaps one of the recent updates caused (or re-introduced) this issue.

It is an old bug that effects all factions, I kept running into it in 2018 for instance and they seemed to have fixed it sometime after that, that has come back again.

Having the same problem with Federation faction. I destroy all the scorpion fighters and torpedoes and the bird of prey remains at "0" %. and you can't destroy it.
