Unable to login via Steam

Today I tried to login via Steam to do my daily run of the red alert. And found myself unable to. I was able to play yesterday without issue.
Receiving a message of unable to authenticate. I have attached a image of the resulting message.

The pc server is down for maintenace from 5AM to 10:30AM PST time.
No maintenace notes given so no idea yet what is actually hapening.

Every month or so (it seems to be every month based on past month) the servers go down for an extended period for back end maintenance hence no patch notes.
