I think a single Miracle Worker Variant for each faction(including Jem Hadar) would be the most pragmatic way to implement T6 Dyson ships.
While Miracle Worker may not be the most ideal primary spec for science vessels, it does reflect the pioneering transformative nature of the ships and gives people the most options without having to sink resources into building 12 new ships for every variation.
The big questions are what to do with the fused guns and console set from the T5 counterparts.
(I'm also all for anything that finally gets Jem Hadar characters their first ship with a secondary deflector.)
Wouldn't it make sense for the Dyson ships to be among the most advanced ones though?
I mean, they were created using Solanae (and, thus, basically Herald/Iconian) technology. The same stuff makes up a Dyson Sphere - something that, regardless of all our mixed-tech and highly advanced re-engineered stuff, is still way beyond what the members of the Alliance can design and construct by themselves.
I've always found it odd that these ships never made it past T5.

it's one of those it didn't sell well and cryptic doesn't really understand why, so they just assume just no wants it things. they pretty much fixed all the problems when they made the existing t6 science destroyers, updating them to that standard should be fine with decent extras and spec. personally would prefer pilot but as long as it's not yet another temporal sci ship it'll be acceptable.
really the hard thing to sell is proton weapons. and even that is not that hard too fix.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
I would be satisfied if they just tweaked the numbers a bit to be more in line with a T6 along with the T6 leveling ability so it can be used from low character level on up.
I don't know about the other ones, but a fully X-upgraded Romulan Harpia class can compete well enough with a base-level T6 so it would not take much buffing to make it (and presumably the others) a T6. And visually they are great as they are (and in the case of the Harpia at least, it is great that it has the same style of impulse trails as the Obelisk).

my tyton does fine without the X upgrade, even in the underpowered destroyer mode. really they were never all that weak, just the vesta ships were considered to be better, which is why most the dyson fans are kdf or romulan. and the fused cannon is a poorly supported damage type then it was rendered obsolete with the upgrade system .
I can see them eventually revisiting the Dysons and the Obelisk.
personally, I think they would make a good anniversary giveaway ship/c store pack. hell cryptic even has an excuse to be lazy with it. since I doubt the few fans the line has would object to getting enhanced version the existing consoles/Secondary Deflector, plus a not fused upgradable version of the dyson cannon. then they would only need to make the starship traits and maybe an experimental weapon for the dysons. and if they throw in a few of the normal filler items in the store pack without jacking up the price, they could probably get away with just one new skin for each faction.

I would love to see this, made a thread about it about a month ago, and I believe there have been other threads for it in the past as well. I'm sure it will happen eventually, if the sales numbers will justify the time for the dev crew... or maybe a event reward like the breen ships
Well... both the Obelisk and Dysons were tied to the story at the time they were released. While it is a bit difficult to justify just whipping up T6 versions based on current story arc... they could probably connect them with a refit program through the Khitomer Alliance.
On the other hand that raises the question of Dominion variant Dysons... hm... this is a bit more complicated than I thought...
The way Dominion doctrine seems to work in the show they probably would not bother making any Dyson ships in the first place so the lack of them is mostly irrelevant. In addition to their tendency to mass produce a narrow range of hulls and simply modify them to whatever roles are needed, they are too much the control freaks to manufacture the things so far outside their borders in factories that are not totally under their control.
In fact, that tendency also makes a good ingame explanation for the lack of a mainly Dominion based Alliance collaboration ship so far.
I think there could be a path for more Dyson ships by linking them with the Khitomer Alliance. Ie. after the Dyson Joint Command settled into the Dyson spheres they've been gradually folded into the structure of the Khitomer Alliance as a science division. So, new ships that blend Solonae tech with Khitomer alliance tech. For best effect you could do a three ship bundle (like the latest c-store bundle) with three unique Dyson/Khit ships, one for each faction and profession (so for ex. TAC variant for KDF, SCI for Romulans, ENG for Starfleet that link up with their respective predecessors.)
These could be GLORIOUS ships and provide opportunities to those who aren't FED to get new ships (with styles that could still be of interest to FED players). But it would take some real imagination and initiative to go back to the Dyson Joint Command and do something with it and the Alliance.
If Cryptic's struggling for 14th anniversary bundle themes, here you go. (which could give overhead for new Jem'hadar and Cardassian Dyson/Khitomer ships. Say Cardie carrier and Jem'Hadar destroyer to round things out. Or just some more KDF/FED T6 refits using the new theme. Examples: D'kyr, Somraw, Curry, or Yeager.)
Story hook: Khitomer alliance steps in to help with whatever multiversal shenanigans is happening with the plot next anniversary, bringing out their latest and most advanced ships to do so. Better yet, Dyson spheres used to help deal with said shenanigans or become a focal point for them. Cameo actor of the week's been doing research in Solanae zone, indiana jones style.

Seeing more of the Dyson Research organisation would be nice anyway, even without new ships or just a T6 upgrade for the same skins.
We never got to meet most of the Dyson's crew. Only a nameless captain who was killed off in the same episode where we met him (or he was even already dead, depending on which version of the mission you end up in) and its chief engineer.
The rest of them? I guess we (or the people who kept trying to get Spock's robes) just took their clothes and sold them in our fleet spires.
Private and other organisations don't get enough attention in STO (or Trek in general). The Federation - and, likely, the Alliance - is made up of more than just Starfleet. It would be nice if some more attention for organisations like the Dyson ones reflected that a bit more.

They got rid of the fused tail gun on the T6 patrol escort so no reason they can't do the same with the T6 dyson ships.
Sadly I remember one of the devs in a recentish livestream saying there were no plans to update the Dyson ships to T6.
